Hmmmm how shall I say this. The food is very affordable which meets the expectations of what you get? The plates are pastel plastic plates like yellow or pink? The hash browns are the add water to reconstitute type and lifeless. The toast was so thin your teeth click upon biting it. The eggs over medium, well they were fine but the yolks with bright yellow not dark orange wholesome eggs. The bacon was pretty thin. I mean it's an ok breakfast for like $9 bucks? The coffee... the coffee was pretty bad. It was so watered down and flavorless. It was basically water, creamer and Splenda. Probably the most disappointing part of the meal and also the first warning sign of what's to come. As for the place it reminded me a flea market from my childhood where my grandparents thrifted every weekend. Yes I hated it. There's like a thousand coffee mugs all over the wall like that's it basically. The staff were like the customers. Retired bikers, cotton tops, family of four where the mom and dad kinda need to pull the table out for belly room. Basically it's the place my grandparents go to after the flea market. The staff, well let's say I didn't give my thoughts any mention less I get hit in the head with the coffee pot lol it's a fine place if your on a tight budget and you just want something to it. This is a quaint small town cafe looking place. They serve simple American food. On my visit I ordered the Spinach and Turkey omelet with grits and toast. The turkey is sliced processed salty turkey. It included spinach and Swiss cheese. Grits were done well. Toast was sourdough standard. Decent food for the prices. Worth a visit. read more

Went about 20 miles out of our way because the person on the phone said they serve breakfast all day and they serve home-style comfort food like you might see on Triple D, NOT TRUE. This place would NEVER make the cut. So we ordered lunch. The so-called "homemade" soup tasted like it was straight from a can. And a further surprise was the soup spoon came IN the soup. That's right, not on the side or partially on the bowl, submerged IN the soup. The rest of the food did not live up to what I would consider good diner food. There is nothing charming about this place, other than the random coffee mugs. The food was boring, the service was okay, and the decor is awful. The most disappointing aspect is that they stop serving breakfast at 11am on weekdays. Since breakfast was no longer an option, we ended up getting salads. Everything else was either on bread or fried. The taco salad was practically flavorless, except a few chunks of onion. The Greek salad looked slightly better, but I didn't try it. The service wasn't very friendly, but it was efficient while we were seated. When we went up to the register to pay, we stood around for several minutes while waitresses walked around us. Finally, someone acknowledged us and we got to pay and leave. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

First, the negative reviews seem to not take into account the location. No, you are not going to get hipster-approved brunch with Bellinis and artisan cheese boards in Bushnell. What you will get is a decent lunch. Only been here once so this could go to a five or two stars if I ever make it there again. I got the beef and cheddar; it was surprisingly good - the roast beef was pretty good. The fries were likely ore-Ida frozen so that's a minus. They weren't bad but I can't give a glowing review to that kind of thing. The atmosphere was nice. A little country, a little campy, but it's nice. The service was typical of a very busy breakfast/lunch spot - nothing super friendly but servers did their job well. I would go back, and for this particular area I would recommend it. read more

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after reading a couple of reviews online. Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't be fooled. Food and service were awesome! We walked in at 2pm, one other table was in the restaurant. We self seated and within 5 min had our order in. 5 minutes later, our food was out and hot. I had a grilled cheese, dill pickle, and freshly cooked hot fries. It definitely says something when you have to wait for your fries to cool. Food quantity and taste were both good for the price. My mom had an egg sandwich with chicken gnocchi soup. She said both were tasty. Our bill ended up being 10$ and change. We were out of there within 20 min! Busy place, but well done, food food and good service. One of the Vets with us was 93! The restaurant is a bit worn down and needs some work, and should have a more prominent sign in front, but I would go back there for good food and service. read more

Ok first off people we are in Bushnell. I sneezed once and missed the whole town. Unfortunately my new job is there so I must eat here. Odd Cuples is a cute little hole in the wall with decent prices and decent food. The odd "cup"les comes from the fact that they have a cute coffee mug collection and they serve you in them. Everyone gets an odd cup. I have had the fried green tomato BLT which was yum, the biscuits and gravy which the biscuits are really doughy but not too bad, the french toast which was yummy, the potatoes which are good and the grits which you should skip because there is NOTHING in them, no butter, no salt, no taste. Used to be so much better but the last two visits have been Meh...biscuit and gravy is bland with very little sausage, my corned beef was too salty for this salt lover (almost impossible) and eggs ordered with whites cooked and yolks runny were goopy whites and cooked yolks. The place is packed, with tables so close that you bump into neighbors and servers bums touch you as they take orders from neighboring tables. Guess as they are the only game in town that is not fast food breakfast on a Sunday is why there's a line out the door. Use to be my favorite joint in Bushnell but think I'll skip it next time. This is the kind of noisy little local hot spot the regulars go to for a cheap, decent breakfast, and hot coffee. Service is friendly, but the waitresses kind of realize the tips are not going to be great, so don't expect 5 star. Food is served hot,and seems to be cooked to order so your wait depends on what you ordered. If you like to be included, the local crowd loves it if you join in the general discussions. of all the place i give a 1 star to this is the most deserving. frozen every thing here and it shows in the taste of the food. sub par food with sub par service. if i wanted a frozen meal heated up for me i could do it at home. worst food in town do not go there they really need a major over haul or to just plain shut down. read more
