I dropped my phone and the protector I purchased on Amazon didn't protect the phone. Go figure…read more After searching on Yelp for repair services, I found Brogden. He responded immediately to my inquiry about his services. He told me what he believed was the problem and the price for repair. We met at a nearby Starbucks and the repair went smoothly. His fees were very reasonable and I would definitely use his services again.

June 26th, I dropped my phone and broke the screen. It worked, but didn't look pretty anymore…read more The store said they could fix it in 3 days since they had to order the screen. They gave me an iPhone as a loaner to use, but I had to bring it back after a couple hours because it kept turning on and off, and the home-button fell out. I had an old phone from 2010 to use, so I just brought that in to use, but they had cut up my sim card to fit in the iPhone! So, it didn't fit properly. That was fun. After a week with next to no luck getting ahold of anyone, I finally reach them to hear that they ordered the wrong screen. I waited over the following weeks tolerating excuses like "we ordered the wrong screen, we shipped it to the other store, we ordered the wrong screen again, its just not working and we need more time to fix it." Now, my favorite part. July 20th, they promised that by 8pm, I'd have my phone back in hand or a replacement from the microsoft store (same model). Guess who couldn't be reached yet again for the rest of the day? Next morning, I request the owner's cell and SHOCK.... No answer. I open the door to the store and the latest excuse is that "the guy from craigslist never called back so they are waiting to hear about getting me a used phone". A used phone?! Yeah, because in trying to fix my screen, they broke mine. He got his boss on the line and I told him a month without my phone was inexcusable and we needed to solve this today. I said I wanted my broken phone back and $150 to cover the phone insurance so I could get T-Mobile to provide a replacement.. He said he would only pay $60. and when I said "no", he said, "This is a nightmare! How could you do this to me? You are RAPING me!!!!" Ugh... Wow. The guy behind the counter told me that I should consider myself lucky because usually when they break phones they tell the customer "too bad". So, now I'm writing a review to warn anyone else that if you value your phone at all, go anywhere else.

They offered a package deal, which wasn't what we needed -- we were looking for something more on-call and flexible. They seemed open to accommodating that, which was reassuring. It has been 6 years since Shannon built my pre-pandemic PC and it has run great all of this time…read moreexcept for a gradually worsening reboot time (which I could deal with) -- unfortunately I had a little hard drive glitch a couple weeks back which made me realize my PC was on borrowed time, so I knew it was time to pay a visit to Shannon and SD Bytes. Rather than upselling me on a brand-new and pricey rebuild, Shannon cloned all of my data over from my current hard drive, put it on a new hard drive, and upgraded me to Windows 11. And through sheer determination, Shannon also fixed my reboot time -- it went from 2.5 hours down to under a minute. This was without a doubt a hugely time-consuming and frustrating process, but Shannon and his team went above and beyond to diagnose and repair it. I absolutely recommend Shannon and SD Bytes if you need a repair or an upgrade or a rebuild or something brand new. You won't find a more competent and honest team in San Diego!

Danielle was responsive and friendly from the start and began working the same day I reached out, with a very reasonable quote. What impressed me most was her integrity: despite all the time and cost she invested, she offered not to charge me anything.
