This is crazy this place is extremely slow. And has hardly any employees. There is to reason return donors should have to wait three hrs to be seen. The supervisory staff stays in their offices instead of helping on the floor. Their is a reason why this location can't keep employees. I had a positive check in experience, but was extremely disappointed with my actual donation. The phlebotomist was on FaceTime while asking me identifying questions, "social security number." and seemed to have no idea what he was doing while sticking a needle in my arm, leaving me in pain. It's annoying when you've been waiting almost an hour & an employee who is donating just goes & gets screened & takes his donor sheet back & sits down. Then he gets stuck & is almost finished with his donation while we're still in the waiting area. The facility itself is small and outdated, they are severely understaffed- it takes over an hour to get thru the registration line because they're too cheap to have more than one employee tending to the line, and they're also cheap with their payments to donors. they pay the least out of all the plasma centers for new donors, you only get 100$ for the first 2 donations and then it drops to 65$ possibly less. They make thousands and thousands of dollars off each bottle of plasma they collect from the donors but they can't pay them a fair portion? especially considering they'll have you sitting for hours and hours to donate because they have sub par employees and not enough of them to boot. embarrassing all around read more

Been donating at the Armenia Ave Tampa location for a few months now, my 1st time there was quicker than anyplace I've ever donated at I was in and out in less than 2 hours (donating included in that time period). Haven't had any issues with the process or the staff most of whom are very nice and professional, there are two staff members i won't allow to stick me because I witnessed 1 of them go from a donor to another then another without changing gloves then there's another one that just doesn't pay attention when sticking you and jams the needle so far in it physically hurts and you have bruise before you even finish donating, and if you return well that bruise is still there your told you can't donate even though you brought to the managers attention at the time it happened. Other than that my only complaint would be the prepaid card they use, it absolutely sux you can't transfer $ to bank account or any where for that matter, has a list of ATM's that are supposedly free but in reality they're not, get charged when card is declined even though it shouldn't have been or if it's locked or not enough time (which varies greatly) lapses between unlocking card and the transaction. I've had it declined 20 minutes after unlocking it and try getting help that's the biggest joke. They need to go with another card company. At the time of this review they are also the highest paying donation center for repeat donors that I know of. read more

Was told over the phone it only takes 1 and a half to two hours for a new donor. They took 10 minutes just to approach and ask me what I wanted. When I get to the center they said 3 or more and that and since I showed up at 5:20 they wouldn't see me since they stop taking new people at 5. I explained I work construction out in manatee county and have to shower before coming because I'm soaked in sweat after work and I'd only be able to come in at 515-520 as a result and I can't come on weekends. He just didn't care and responded with a complaint about how much everyone has to work and how no one wants anymore work at the end of the day. read more

Over all great experience. They have veteran nurses and phlebotomists on staff that are very friendly our going and the team Work that is reflected here mirrors that of high turn over plastic surgery clinics. The wait was pretty long for a new donor. Took just under 3 hours total. They have incentives for donors and if you have the free time it's an easy way to make Some gas money. I went while my kids were in school and was totally fine afterwards. The plasma machines they use are top of the line and the actual donation time is pretty seamless and quick. There are better times to go than in the morning. I was told that Friday's and sundays are the best days when you will experience less riff ears and questionable characters coming in to make their survival money. I was turned off by the reviews to begin with but after experiencing it first time it wasn't bad. The facility is clean and organized just be sure to check in at front desk as a first time donor or you will waste your time standing around trying to figure out where to go next. read more

Everyone in Florida knows how hot the summer can be, if you are in the hot sun all day and come inside and immediately take your temperature of course you temperature will be a little above what they consider normal, they denied me because my temperature was at a 99 instead of 95. I don't think that's fair I think they should at least let you cool down then take your temperature again now if it turns out the same then it is what it is but I swear certain people who screen you will purposely refuse you. read more

I have been donating for a few years. Whenever Samuel R. at the Tampa location sticks me, he never asks if I'm allergic to iodine, he never asks me my name and DOB. Then when he disconnects me, he doesn't ask me if I'm allergic to adhesives and he doesn't tell me how much I get paid or my next donation date. He is the only one who doesn't do any of that. I know the employees are required to do it, because everyone else does those things. It's as if he thinks he doesn't have to because he has been there for a long time. read more

The dirtiest plasma donation center i have ever been to with some if the worst and unprofessional staff maybe ever...? Mostly talking about the woman who works there with the diamond studded piercing under her eye who just rolled her eyes at me, sighed, yelled at me and brought upon a pretty awful experience.  She struggled to operate the blood pressure cuff and take vitals so maybe corporate needs to take a look at who's in charge of training the staff? I reported her behavior to the assistant manager( woman with the brown hair) and she didn't really seem to care at all, I don't even think she made eye contact with me, just asked for my DOB and typed on her computer then after voicing my concerns she just replied with something along the lines of "everyone loves her" uh ok? How does that answer addresses anything I just spoke to you about in any way, shape or form? I know this place is HURTIN for staff but man...they set the bar so low, it honestly feels like it's everyone's first day, everyday. Lastly, the bathroom is just flooded with urine, they usually just throw a mound of paper towels over and wait for it to dry and or evaporate. The condition of this facility and how unprofessional and unsanitary it is will be sure to get someone hurt eventually. I will most definitely NEVER be back here but i know they're located in a low income area (as most of these places usually are) so they will continue to prey on those who rely on plasma donations to make ends meet. read more

first time coming in today and everyone was nice until I had a vein complication. The lady taking my plasma was really kind and tried helping but the worker "Tyler" was horrible. He was the rudest worker i've ever seen at a plasma donating center since i've donated at CSL plasma in the past with no issues. Not only was Tyler consistently telling the lady taking my plasma to send me home because he wants to get the everyone sat for the day even though it's 4:30pm. Then at the end when I didn't donate enough plasma because of the vein issues the lady was generously saying with the plasma donated and be stuck twice i would receive $40 but NO tyler had an issue and argued saying i would only receive 15 he went back and forth bickering until he realized he was wrong. Just annoying to have a worker constantly complaint about you 10 feet away from you. That Tyler guy ruined the experience and made it so i simply won't return. Overall would of been a decent experience if it weren't for the lack of professionalism displayed by that certain worker. read more

God forbid you answer honestly to the question "have you ever had sex with a male even once" they put you in a high risk category for the chance to transmit HIV or AIDS. I'm sorry is this 1980? So because of my sexuality I'm not allowed to donate plasma. THAT is discrimination at its finest folks. I just went 3 days ago for an HIV and STI test and brought proof that I was negative for all.
