The front office staff was attentive and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Allie, the assistant who brought me back, was knowledgeable, engaging, and thorough while taking my history and X-rays. When Dr. Johnson came in, she conducted a comprehensive exam and took the time to explain her findings clearly. What I appreciated most was her collaborative approach--she actively involved me in choosing the right plan of care. Highly competent, approachable, and communicative. Went to get laser for toenail fungus received from a nail salon and what started off great ended…read morehorrible! At my 6 month follow-up laser appt Dr. Williams over lasered two toes leaving me with blood bruising under the nail beds. So while yes the fungus is gone I now have two ugly bloody/bruised toes (that were so sore after the treatment) that I have to now wait another 6 mo to a year to grow out. I think what I'm most upset about with this office is lack of accountability! When I sent in pics and spoke with his wife/receptionist Britney she said it must have been something from some closed toe shoes (I live in Archie flip-flops) instead of saying that burning people with the laser can happen and I'm so sorry it happened to you and this is how you care for it!!!!

Dr. John is a gem. Truly…read more I had a minor emergency on a Saturday after de-boarding a cruise in Ft Lauderdale. I stubbed my toe on my luggage and the entire big toe came off and was sticking straight up and down but still attached at the base. It was horrendous, and gory and painful. I was panicked and unsure what to do - should I go to emergency room? Can I wait till Monday and go to podiatrist? I'm literally in an unfamiliar city, 4 hours from home, by myself and not knowing what to do. I ended up searching for Podiatrists near my home city of Clearwater and read through a few... well Dr John ended up being like 5 or 6 down on the list and something about his profile and info that just felt right. I called and even though they were closed there was a phone # for emergencies so I called and left a voicemail. Dr John called me back within 5 minutes!! I explained the situation, he put me at ease and told me I could wait until Monday and that he'd have the office call me first thing Monday morning to fit me into the schedule. Well sure enough, 9am rolled around and they called. My experience with the Doctor as well as his office was so great. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Apparently I have a fairly extreme phobia/anxiety of foot/toenail issues and was basically having a downright "fight or flight" reaction. I was so afraid of the pain of having to have my big toenail taken off, and afraid of the sounds of the procedure, afraid the numbing wouldn't work, etc... I was a downright wreck!!! But the ladies in the office were sweet and brought me water and mints to help try and keep me calm, and reassured me the doctor is so sweet and gentle. Well they were so right. He came in with a big smile and so kind. He explained everything he was about to do before doing it, so that nothing was a surprise. He made small talk to try and divert my attention, and was just generally a very nice man. While the shots hurt like a b*tch, that was the worst part. I didn't feel anything after that. Afterwards, while we were talking he even mentioned that if I had needed to stay in Ft Lauderdale initially he had already been thinking of names of other doctors he knows and would've called them to get me in, and all I could think was - this man is amazing!! The thoughtfulness really won me over. While I hope I don't have to see Dr John very often in the future, I'm SO extremely grateful for he and his office!!! I'm so glad that for whatever reason I was drawn to his office over the other ones. He's the exact man I was supposed to see, to help fix me up. The universe lined me up with an exception man to help get me healed and calmed. LOL So would I recommend him? Absolutely, hands-down, without a doubt YES! Highly recommend his office.

After being in pain all night I called the office to see if i could come in for the cortisone shot. At which point they advised me that it would be considered a whole new visit with a co-pay of $80.00. As I explained, it had only been a few hours since my visit. Alison (front desk personnel) specifically asked the doctor and the reply was yes, there would be a charge. Not impressed with the level of care. No apology or personal contact to say there was a medical emergency. I was shocked at this flagrant disregard for their patients. My face showed the offense felt so the receptionist felt the need to defend the sign by saying it wasn't her but her boss who told her to post the sign. I received a survey just before opening YELP six days ago. I said I would like to have someone call me. No one has. I used Dr. Levine years ago and everyone was kind and professional. No longer!
