They made me wait an extra half hour to allow other new donors to catch up which wouldn't be bad except another new donor that.

I took it off, and proved to them that it was the coat and not me that smelled like oil, yet they decided to continue to turn me away, stating that my hygiene needed improvement (I showered right before going there) and I could come back after a shower. I work for a living, and I'm not wealthy, and don't own another coat, so we were gonna run into the same issue as before if I just came back later. I haven't gone back since. I lost all respect for every individual that works there, as nobody would stand up to the person who continued claiming that I was dirty and smelled like oil. I figured I'll take my donation elsewhere to some other people that won't be so judgy of someone who actually works for a living and is struggling to make ends meet. Bio Life pays better anyways.

Of course, I was a cracked-out teenager then without health insurance so I ignored the fact that I had a life threatening disease until later when I nearly died. But between my trip to your facility and my trip to that last doctor who said "Hey, you have Type 1 Diabetes!" there were years of other insundry doctors at Free clinics, ERs, and Student Health offices all over midwest saying "I don't know what's wrong with you. Are you bulimic? Is that why you throw up all the time. Are you depressed? Maybe you need to be on the pill. Try drinking more water and change shampoos if your hair is falling out. Maybe gain some weight. You're too skinny. Why do you keep throwing up? If your teeth are rotting and your skin is so dry try brushing and using a moisturizer. You're peeing a lot because you drank a lot of water. You're drinking a lot of water because you're peeing a lot. Stop peeing so much. Drink less coffee." I wish I'd listened to you right from the start. O well. I'm ok with my life-long medical condition now. Thanks for the heads up and the ridiculously simple sugar test only you thought to give me so many years ago..
