I am a long time plasma donor. Since 1986. I have donated at multiple centers in multiple states. Never had a problem. Never. Until I switched to Biolife plasma in Davenport Iowa. In the 37 plus years of my plasma experience, I have never seen a center that tries so hard to keep donors from donating.
1. A couple of the screeners seem to be getting paid to defer donors.
Citing things I have never heard, EVER, to defer myself and others.
2. My fingerprints DO NOT SCAN.
Until today that was a liability because I had to get staff to override and enter me manually. Which let others waltz right in front of me. Now, after being detained yet again, I was informed that I have to sign a waiver every time my prints won't scan. Apparently staff was supposed to do this every time.
I know MANY donors whose prints do not scan. None of us have EVER heard of this. Matter of fact most other centers allow you to answer your screening questions b4 coming in and just scan your phone upon arrival. Ensuring the 1st come, 1st serve policy.
I could go on endlessly but suffice to say that in my educated opinion, THIS IS THE WORST PLASMA CENTER EVER.
Oh, BTW, they pay less than many other centers as well. They claim to be one of the top paying centers but they are NOT.
Donate elsewhere. This place is a clusterfuck. read more
