I would highly advise against using this company. The owner left the pool draining for a cleaning and the pool popped out of the ground. Had me call him so he could coach me on what to tell my homeowners insurance. He wanted me to lie to them saying the pool was drained over seven months ago. I advised him to talk to his insurance as well, since his business claims they have insurance, I assure you they ARE NOT INSURED! Our insurance assessed and are saying that the pool company is at fault here. Tried calling him back numerous times to try to work this out in a civil manner, but he's ignoring all calls. We are currently working on legal action obviously due to the nature and costs of fixing his mistake. I'll add more pictures soon! read more

Mark answered his phone on a holiday and was extremely helpful and got us on his schedule right away. We were given his phone number by Leslie's pool supply So we knew that our pool equipment was in good hands as they are obviously a reputable vendor. His rates seem very fair and he also seemed to know exactly what he was doing. We appreciate your service Mark! read more

The owner, Mark Chassie, and his son, did a great job cleaning the calcium from my pool weir wall. I used the mineral blasting technique. Mark was easy to schedule with, showed up on time, and performed the work cleanly and efficiently. I will keep this company on my preferred vendor list for subcontractors who I will allow to do work on my home. read more

This review is not for the work, because I didn't have it done--this review is for the forthright communication and refreshing honesty of the company's principal, Mark Chassie. I used the company's web form to inquire if my home was in their service area, and I received a reply very shortly thereafter letting me know that it was, and requesting photos and pool dimensions in order to provide a quote for the work. I took a few photos, tried to get the dimensions from my pool maintenance contractor (I failed), and replied, asking for a quote. Mr. Chassie provided me with a competitive bid, but it was not quite competitive enough to sway me from the contractor my pool company had already recommended. When I reported this to him, and expressed my fear that I might wind up regretting my solely price-based decision, but that I was going to go with the pool company's referral, Mark was able to provide the name of the competing company (which I had long since forgotten), and also reassure me that they were a very good company in their own right who would do right by me. Apparently my pool will, eventually, be clean and lovely, but if it weren't for the assistance of good people like Mark Chassie, I'd be totally lost. read more

Sorry to write this review so late Mark. I just wanted to say that I had read quite a few of these reviews about your tile cleaning feedback and I can assure everyone that this company did the best job anyone ever could . Every 5 star he has was justified and also I can honestly say, It's been more than a year and a half since Mark cleaned my pool tile and his "Secret Sealer" for the tile still looks as awesome as the day he put it on. I don't know what else to say except "Thank's again". It may be a while before I need you to clean my tile again but I can assure you I wont hesitate to call you again. Well worth the value!!! Marc, Although you were on time and gave me and my husband good advice and price for the service, please do not leave behind trash from the filters for us to pick up or dirt at that bottom of the pool for another person to vacuum. Finally, we asked you to disposed of the acid cleansing water through our pipes and not to discard in the street. I was just expecting better service... Max and Marlene Swider read more

Mark came as promised, exactly on time and was finished even sooner than the anticipated 3 hours. My pool looks new again! These are great people, a solid company and exactly what I needed to not only remove built up calcium deposits on my tile but also cleaned the rock facia above the tile. Oh, and did I mention at a great price! I totally recommend this company! read more

I met Mark and Brandon of OC pools while they were servicing our neighbors pool. Our pool was very much in need of acid wash and bead blasting. I was given an estimate and set appointment for May 14th. Both Mark and Brandon arrived on time and went right to work. Mark was very thorough and took extra time cleaning the hard water off the tiles. The entire process went very smoothly and my husband and I were extremely happy with their work. Both were professional, friendly and respectful of our property.. Thank you very much Mark and Brandon, I will definitely refer your company to neighbors and friends. Rose B read more

I read the reviews for this company and realized someone who gave them 1 star had only given 1 star to the majority of companies he/she reviewed. I like to read between the lines because sometimes I wonder if the problem is the company or the expectations which can never be met. That being said, I decided to take a chance to have the calcium blasted from my pool and spa. They showed up on time, were very competitive on their pricing, and did an outstanding job. They did exactly as promised and the pool now looks great! I would highly recommend them. read more

I manage a mid-rise building in San Diego, CA. There are two fountains in the common area that were in serious need of tile cleaning. Without sounding too graphic, the calcium on the tiles was THICK and could not be removed with even the strongest cleaning solutions. The building is almost 10 years old and I'm almost sure the tile has never been cleaned due to the state it was in when I first started managing here. I was referred to OC Pools by a colleague to do the job.. all I can say is WOW. The tile looks brand new! All of my residents were extremely happy. OC Pools made me look good and that is very, very important to me. Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job here! We will be in touch soon for the next round of cleaning. read more

Great job, the guys came out on short notice and drianed and acid washed my pool. I would recommend them to anyone with pool issues. They are very knowlegable. read more

OCPools911 offers fantastic service and lives up to their name. We called for a tile cleaning at the last minute as our pool was drained, and Mark was able to squeeze us in within the week, even though his schedule was full. The company was easy to reach, and Mark answered all of our questions very quickly and knowledgeably. He wasn't trying to sell us extra services, but when I asked about the acid wash, he explained why it would help the pool function better. After having the tile cleaning and acid wash, our pool looks brand new after 10 years. They were also finished with the job within only a few hours. I definitely recommend this company! read more

Our pool developed quite a bit of calcium and we tried everything to get rid of it, so after spending hours working on it with no result, we called Mark. The first thing I was impressed with is that Mark answers his phone right away, how great is that. I told him of our problem and he had me send him pictures after receiving the pictures he called back and said he would make the calcium go away. He explain his technique for doing the job and the cost. He said he could be out the next day. He arrived on time did the job and it was perfect. The tiles are about eight years old and look new again. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone he is as good as it gets. thank you. i read more

Thank you Mark for giving me back my beautiful pool. I had forgotten how the tiles could shine! Mark was thoroughly professional. I'm ready for summer!! read more

The worst; what a rip off, very disappointed paid top $ to have the glass tile cleaned. Their supposed secret sealer washed off not even two months after it was done and now it looks like crap ! In addition, they missed an entire section and did not come back to finish the job , unfortunately for us they had been paid, so I was out of luck :( You are better off saving your money and use lemon juice or white vinegar it will dissolve the calcium and leave a nice shiny finish. read more

I reached out to Mark at OC pools 911 about 1 week ago. Needed to get our tile cleaned but also in the process of updating our pool equipment. Mark was able to drive out the next day which was Wednesday May 1st..gave us an estimate and was able to start the job on Thursday.. Mark and his son Brandon were so helpful and extremely knowledgeable, and his prices and work are phenomenal!! We are definitely happy that we found him and most certainly will continue to use him when we need help with our pool.. Can't thank you enough Mark!! read more

Had them clean our pool tiles. Reasonably priced, and great job. Unfortunately, a previous pool cleaner scratched my pool tiles. Make sure you go with these guys, as they cleaned all the calcium deposits without scratching the surface. Pool looks great and is ready for summer. read more

Wow Mark, excellent job on my pool. Sorry I waited so long to call you guys with that thick calcium buildup I had on my pool tile. I seriously didn't think you were going to be able to get those huge chunks off, but you really did! Don't worry about me doing that to you again :-D Haha, I know it was a lot of work for you guys. Next time I wont wait so long to have it done again. I have your phone number stored now in my phone. Thanks again, Lori A. read more

I called Mark based on his yelp reviews. He was easy to reach by phone and text, and I was thrilled that he was available to come out within the week to bead blast my pool tiles. They came on time, were professional, knowledgeable, and left the pool looking great (two guys working two hours). I appreciated the reminder to check the pool salt level after refilling. When they finished, they took the time to clean up most of the dust. The pool looks great! Mark even extended the Yelp check-in discount even though he was no longer offering it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the lack of communication when setting up the appointment. It would have been helpful if I was told that they only accept cash or check, that the pool guy should come a day or two after (ours had come the day before), and that the sealer needs at least 24 hours to dry before refilling the pool (they lowered the levels a few inches). Knowing all the facts would have helped me to make some different choices about our pool use. Overall, I'm very happy! read more

When your pool pump stops working in the middle of summer you want it fixed ASAP to avoid the color green, and that's exactly what Mark did for me. Within 24 hrs of my initial call on a Sunday afternoon, Mark had root-caused my pump issue, swiftly replaced the failing part, and got my pump up and running perfectly again. He was also kind enough to help answer a few of my pool care questions quickly via text the following night. Bottom line, everyone has a go-to resource for particular care/repair needs - I now have one for my pool - I'd highly recommend OCPools911 and Mark! Scott W. read more

I would like to 2nd the first review. I had the same experience as Afton R. Mark and Blake were here within a couple of days to give me an estimate. They were here the next week with their trailer full of specialized equipment for tending to the calcium deposits and to acid wash my pool. They were friendly, organized, courteous, and did great fast work. Thank you so much Mark and Blake. I'm keeping your card for next time! read more

Another excellent service from OCPOOLS911. We moved and the pool at our current house had years of calcium build up. Mark from OCPOOLS911 removed the calcium and it looks like new again! The whole service of my pool was done in a timely manner. read more

Owner/operator Mark is a really cool guy. Answers his phone, assesses the necessary work via phone pictures, sets an appointment, shows up promptly and does a great job on cleaning pool tile buildup dressed as "AquaMan". Very pleased with final results! My only caveat is that I didn't know tile sealer was an additional charge--I thought it was included in the service. But, I would have had him apply the sealer anyway for the additional cost, so no matter. Had an excellent experience with Mark and would recommend him if you are in need removing that ugly white calcium buildup from your pool & spa tile. Thanks Mark! read more
