Brandi made sure that we knew she appreciated us coming to visit her small business by making every single detail of our visit perfect. The associate at the counter got me checked in, asked if I wanted anything to drink, and seated me in my room. Soon, I was met by a smiling and sweet Lauren! She had arranged her schedule to make sure she could be there with me today. She guided me to where my gown was hanging and prepped for me, and stood right outside the curtain in case I needed assistance. When I came out and looked in the mirror, I was so pleased. I had brought my veil and shoes with me for the full effect, and Lauren had even kindly boxed my veil up for me and packed it in a nice tote bag, since I had brought it in all wound up inside the shipping bag it had come in in. It's the little things that really mean so much. Lauren, as well as the other stylists who peered around the corner to see me in my dress and offer kind words, made me feel so beautiful. I have scoured the internet and the bridal magazines searching for the dresses that I am interested in and which stores carry which designers. I'm not wasting my time going to stores that do not carry said designers. So I went to Tucker's because I was moderately pleased with their web site, they are fairly close to my office and the web site stated that they carry Mori Lee dresses. A friend from work went with me so we could look at one dress that I was in love with. We walked in and we were asked in a less than friendly manner if we needed help. I gave her the Mori Lee design number and she looked at me as if I had antennae coming out of my head. I would say that it was a solid minute before she headed to the ONE wall of bridal gowns that they had. She proceeds to tell me that all the dresses are samples, which I certainly expected. How many of us are walking into a bridal shop expecting to purchase our dress off the rack? As she is digging through the dresses, which clearly have the designer & dress design numbers listed on the bags, which makes me wonder why my telling her the Mori Lee number was so perplexing to her, she proceeds to tell me that the dresses run small. Thanks...my big ass is fully aware of this. I'm pretty sure a female would have to reside under a rock to not know this. Regardless of any of the above, my biggest beef is that the web site states that they carry Mori Lee. Having about two dozen Mori Lee dresses does not equate to "carrying" Mori Lee in my opinion. For some designers, two dozen would be their whole line and I do understand that no store will have every dress by a designer; hence the purpose of trunk shows, but two dozen (and I'm probably being generous) is not near a substantial representation of the Mori Lee line. Okay, I have probably been a bit over dramatic about this, but I was more than disappointed when I walked in this store and walked out five minutes later. In my opinion, don't waste your time. Definitely call first and have them check if you are looking for something specific.

In a frantic search for a replacement, we were driving all over not from Georgia and even ended up at the wrong bridal shop that was closed. Frustrated and running out of time, we asked neighboring businesses if they knew where the bridal shop we were looking for had moved. One kind young woman immediately recommended Everlasting Bridal, sharing that her cousin had worked with them and had an incredible experience. Since Everlasting Bridal was about 45 minutes away and we were getting close to closing time, we called ahead to make sure they would still be open and hopefully have something suitable. Amy didn't just answer our questions, she went above and beyond. Before we even arrived, she and her team sent photos of several headpiece options, and once we arrived they FaceTimed with the bride, and made thoughtful recommendations to ensure she selected the perfect piece for her wedding day. Their attention to detail and willingness to help from a distance immediately put us at ease. The bride was thrilled with her choice, and honestly felt it was even more beautiful in person than in the photos and FaceTime. Amy and her team could have easily turned us away because of the time, but instead they welcomed us with kindness, grace, and genuine care. I'd love to believe this level of service was exclusively for me (wink, wink), but it clearly isn't. While we were there, a bridesmaid came in just minutes before closing needing last-minute alterations. Jennifer immediately stepped in and worked her magic like Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. Despite it being the end of a long day, she gave the bridesmaid the same care, patience, and attention she had given everyone else. These women are full of love and dedication.
