Maybe I'm spoiled by those hummus containers you can buy at the store for less than $5, but if I'm paying $5.50 for a hummus platter, I'd like at least enough hummus to get some on each item in the platter. The she crab soup could use a little more crab meat, and peas and carrots BUT the fish and chips was underwhelming and could use more seasonings and less time in the frying pan. I've booked Taphouse for both corporate and personal gatherings, and it's the easiest, most reliable spot in the County for hosting by far. Beyond the food and drink, Taphouse, and especially Sunny (the owner) are one of the most community engaged businesses in Southern Maryland. They have put on countless events supporting all types of local organizations, and always work with nonprofits when they need anything. Taphouse and Sunny himself really serve as one of the best ambassadors of St. Mary's County, especially since a large portion of the customers are transient.
