The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

The service and vibe of the entire parlor was what drew me in, they were incredibly kind and helpful when I initially got it. Me and my sister both got matching Saturn tattoos for 100$ each. Cut to a few weeks ago and as I was replacing the bandaging and I noticed tons of the line work had FALLEN out as it wasn't tattooed deep enough. I got another tattoo one week after this one, and it healed PERFECTLY and is flawless. I can't say the same for this one, and unfortunately it's a MATCHING tattoo with my sister. She lives in St. Louis so she didn't have the same luxury of going back and getting the tattoo retouched... but apparently NIETHER DID I, as when I arrived at the parlor, I was informed they don't have any guarantees on hand and finger tattoos? Which they NEVER made me aware of before I got the tattoo or I would've NEVER went through with it. I'm a very cautious and detailed person. My sister is too, if we were told about that guarantee we would've taken that red flag and moved on to a different tattoo studio. It's important to note that my sister's tattoo is extremely faded too. They told me to retouch this small tattoo that they had BOTCHED just weeks prior, it would cost 60$. That's nearly the cost of the initial tatoo. They offered me a free piercing to make up for it, so I made an appointment... only to get a call the day of saying the piercer no longer works there. Wildly unprofessional. I'm now left with a HOLE in my ear. Go literally anywhere else. Not to mention, ridiculously overpriced.

After a few weeks or so, Abi reached out and asked if I was still interested and I immediately jumped on the opportunity to let her tattoo me, which was an amazing decision on my part. I was impressed by how she remembered me and still wanted to do the tattoo we talked about in small detail. Abi and every member of the crew that I met had a stellar attitude and were beyond professional. While I was there I sprung two more small tattoos on Abi at short notice and she took them on with no problem and for a fair price! My friend and I enjoyed awesome conversation and traded interesting stories during the entire process. On a side note, you MUST hear some of the amazing stories they can share. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming with really good music playing the entire 5-6 hours I was there! Abi was one of the most gentle artists I have ever experienced with some times me not even being sure if she was tattooing or not. I wouldn't say the customer service has ever been outstanding, but it's generally been good. During my previous visit, I spent around $700 adding two new piercings and switching out jewelry. The piercer who helped me was incredible. I wish I could remember her name because she truly had an artist's eye. She helped curate my ears beautifully, adding charms and small triangle studs that I absolutely loved. Near the end of that appointment, while we were still in the treatment room, she asked if she could step out to do a quick jewelry change for another customer. I found that unusual as we were already in service. I also had another appointment that I needed to get to so I felt my time didn't matter! Anyways I overlooked it because I had otherwise enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. I came in to purchase a solid gold swallow bird piece, which was close to $500, and have it installed. I had seen it on Friday and returned Monday specifically to buy it. The piercer helping me, who mentioned she was new from Bakersfield, immediately came across as uninterested. When I asked about the bird jewelry, she didn't even attempt to look for it and simply said, "I don't know." The receptionist then stepped in, searched the display, and found the exact piece. It was the last one. Once we went into the piercing room, I mentioned that my current jewelry felt a little tight, but throughout the appointment her demeanor remained cold, short, and dismissive. She changed the jewelry, but when she couldn't find a bag for my previous piece, I ended up offering one from my purse. Nothing catastrophic happened, but customer service is about how you make people feel. When someone is spending hundreds of dollars on fine jewelry and trusting you with body piercings, warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness matter just as much as technical skill. Sadly, this experience left such a poor impression that I won't be returning.
