The staff were all SO kind and welcoming. They took their time helping me pick out the perfect jewelry out of their epic selection. The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

The service and vibe of the entire parlor was what drew me in, they were incredibly kind and helpful when I initially got it. Me and my sister both got matching Saturn tattoos for 100$ each. Cut to a few weeks ago and as I was replacing the bandaging and I noticed tons of the line work had FALLEN out as it wasn't tattooed deep enough. I got another tattoo one week after this one, and it healed PERFECTLY and is flawless. I can't say the same for this one, and unfortunately it's a MATCHING tattoo with my sister. She lives in St. Louis so she didn't have the same luxury of going back and getting the tattoo retouched... but apparently NIETHER DID I, as when I arrived at the parlor, I was informed they don't have any guarantees on hand and finger tattoos? Which they NEVER made me aware of before I got the tattoo or I would've NEVER went through with it. I'm a very cautious and detailed person. My sister is too, if we were told about that guarantee we would've taken that red flag and moved on to a different tattoo studio. It's important to note that my sister's tattoo is extremely faded too. They told me to retouch this small tattoo that they had BOTCHED just weeks prior, it would cost 60$. That's nearly the cost of the initial tatoo. Needless to say, there is a strong chance that Cleopatra ink Santa Monica WILL not tattoo you deep enough and will DEFINITELY not attempt to fix the problem. Customer Beware

After a few weeks or so, Abi reached out and asked if I was still interested and I immediately jumped on the opportunity to let her tattoo me, which was an amazing decision on my part. I was impressed by how she remembered me and still wanted to do the tattoo we talked about in small detail. Abi and every member of the crew that I met had a stellar attitude and were beyond professional. While I was there I sprung two more small tattoos on Abi at short notice and she took them on with no problem and for a fair price! My friend and I enjoyed awesome conversation and traded interesting stories during the entire process. On a side note, you MUST hear some of the amazing stories they can share. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming with really good music playing the entire 5-6 hours I was there! Abi was one of the most gentle artists I have ever experienced with some times me not even being sure if she was tattooing or not. I have epilepsy which causes me to sometimes twitch, but that was no problem for her! I am so thrilled with the tattoos I received from her and I plan to visit all the way from Michigan again for even more tattoos! All of my art was very reasonably priced especially considering how beautifully it turned out! I can't recommend this place enough! Abi is my new favorite tattoo artist!

He's super clean, patient, meticulous, and knowledgeable. Not to mention a highly skilled artist in my opinion. This place is a must visit if you're getting a tattoo. I had decided that Mohave would be my go-to piercing spot in L.A. and was excited to introduce my…read moredaughter to it a few months ago for her own piercing and tattoo needs. I had been there once before and had received impeccable service in every way. Then I had the displeasure of encountering the owner. I can't say that I actually met him, because he pointedly ignored me for hours while greeting and chatting up everyone else in the small lobby. He walked past me probably a dozen times as though I weren't there. It got to the point where it went from awkward to rude. Like, our eyes literally met multiple times yet he immediately looked away and continued to ignore me. It irks me when I think of the nearly $900 I spent on services, jewelry, and tips for my daughter and me that day, not to mention the chunk I spent during my previous visit. Still, I wouldn't have bothered writing a review about something as minor as that until he interrupted my daughter's tattoo in progress to have the artist watch him perform a piercing. The artist was in their zone and their body language told me it was an awkward moment for a break. I was annoyed but my daughter didn't want to make it an issue so I let it go. She told me later that the owner said it was for teaching purposes. Ultimately, the tattoo ended up having issues that my daughter had to get corrected at another studio. To be fair, I can't say that it was because of the interruption, but I also can't say that it wasn't. Is it unreasonable to expect that teaching should be structured in a way that doesn't detract from the experience of a customer receiving something as indelible and expensive as a tattoo? He managed to make both my daughter and me feel disregarded that day. I still regret not speaking up.
