If I could give ZERO stars, trust me, I WOULD. They botched my finger tattoo. Also they had a man working the door who stopped us and told us they had a flash sale 2 small tattoos for 100.00. IM SOLD. NOPE, it was actually 200.00. Me and my girlfriend had to pay 400.00 + tip for the world's smallest tattoo. SMH would not go again, even to get my money back.

I got this tattoo done 2 years ago, and I hate it. I never spoke up about it but I am regretting it. Line work is trash, uneven, and I developed milia. None of my other tattoos have this problem. If they stop you at the door for a "flash" sale, they're just scamming you. Now i'm getting a cover up on this.

Built my tiger tat from scratch in 20 minutes based only on my description... these guys are pros.

This is by far the best tattoo spot in SanMo. These buys are studs. Asap for Vitto. They built this tiger from scratch in like 15 minutes. Best place for walk-ins. No brained if you need top tier ink on the fly.

Not a place for first timers. My friend has darker skin and was hoping to get their first tattoo. My friend came in with an idea of what the tattoo would be but asked for a recommendation on colouring because of having a darker complexion (skin tones that are darker generally fair better with black ink rather than coloured ink). The gentleman gruffly responded something along the lines of "If you don't know what you want then you shouldn't have come". That right there would have been enough for me to leave but my friend showed kindness, patience and grace and gave the tattoo artist the benefit of the doubt. My friend requested to see a tattoo book with options and the artist snappily rushed him through it. My friend left and paid a celebrity tattoo artist to do a beautiful sleeve instead at a different tattoo parlour. The artist there was kind, patient, made my friend a priority and walked my friend through the best colouring for their skin as well as suggestions to help make the first tattoo as easy a transition as possible-- especially considering this was a first for said friend. While my friend may not have written a review, I am appalled and upset for him. This is something that will permanently alter your body and all customers should be shown grace. I don't wish to name the artist as I do not wish for anyone to lose their livelihood, especially around Christmas, but I certainly hope a conversation about treating all customers with dignity will be had with staff. People who live in Santa Monica shouldn't have to go elsewhere for decent treatment. I will be recommending all of my friends go elsewhere even if more inconvenient to get their tattoos done. We have so many options in the LA area that that sort of treatment is unacceptable. I certainly hope this was strictly because this artist was having a bad day or lacks customer service skills and had nothing to do with colouring. And I hope they improve this for the future. If you are getting a first tattoo I recommend calling another parlour and seeing how they treat you on the phone before walking in, this is a big, permanent and costly commitment depending upon size and colours used. I do not wish for anyone else to be treated in this manner. So disappointed and my friend is such a kind and charismatic person, I am shocked anyone would treat someone like that this way.

The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

I wouldn't say the customer service has ever been outstanding, but it's generally been good. During my previous visit, I spent around $700 adding two new piercings and switching out jewelry. The piercer who helped me was incredible. I wish I could remember her name because she truly had an artist's eye. She helped curate my ears beautifully, adding charms and small triangle studs that I absolutely loved. Near the end of that appointment, while we were still in the treatment room, she asked if she could step out to do a quick jewelry change for another customer. I found that unusual as we were already in service. I also had another appointment that I needed to get to so I felt my time didn't matter! Anyways I overlooked it because I had otherwise enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. I came in to purchase a solid gold swallow bird piece, which was close to $500, and have it installed. I had seen it on Friday and returned Monday specifically to buy it. The piercer helping me, who mentioned she was new from Bakersfield, immediately came across as uninterested. When I asked about the bird jewelry, she didn't even attempt to look for it and simply said, "I don't know." The receptionist then stepped in, searched the display, and found the exact piece. It was the last one. Once we went into the piercing room, I mentioned that my current jewelry felt a little tight, but throughout the appointment her demeanor remained cold, short, and dismissive. She changed the jewelry, but when she couldn't find a bag for my previous piece, I ended up offering one from my purse. Nothing catastrophic happened, but customer service is about how you make people feel. When someone is spending hundreds of dollars on fine jewelry and trusting you with body piercings, warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness matter just as much as technical skill. Sadly, this experience left such a poor impression that I won't be returning.

I especially wanted to shout out Hernan for my navel piercing. He did a phenomenal job. He was communicative and completely open to my requests. It's been about three days now, and I'm honestly surprised by how little soreness and discomfort I've had. I'm a bigger guy with a stomach, so I was a little concerned about how a navel piercing would feel, especially since it's a high movement area. But after the first 12 hours, there is very little soreness, and I'm already noticing less discomfort when I move. I think a lot of that has to do with Hernan's skill and attention to placement. He checked the placement while I was standing, sitting, and laying down to see how my stomach and navel moved and sat in each position. That level of care really stood out to me and should be standard but isn't everywhere which is why I always go here. For any plus size person wondering if a navel piercing is possible or will heal well, it definitely will! It's more about your individual anatomy than your size, but having a knowledgeable piercer who understands anatomy of all sizes makes a huge difference. Everyone here is great. I just wanted to give Hernan a special shoutout for this recent work. Thanks!
