About 4-5 months ago, I bought a pre owned 2022 Isuzu NRR diesel, from Rush Peterbilt in Fontana for my business. I am based out of lake Elsinore/south Corona area. Location wise for me, Freeway Isuzu is the closer option, rather than driving to Fontana for parts. I gave this place benefit of the doubt and still called anyways last week, they definitely didn't disappoint. He was rude from the beginning with a bad tone in his voice and due to not having my VIN on hand, I was given bad customer service and told he can't help me. I was only looking for maintenance filters, assuming they have many in stock and VIN shouldn't be an issue but according to him it was. I asked to speak to a manager, and he said he was. As a business owner myself, I would be ashamed to have him in charge of a whole department. Never met the guy in person but that's a bad look. I will never do business with this place and never recommend anyone to get parts from here, as long as he's in charge or employed here. I instead drove the 30 minutes farther to Rush in Fontana and received my parts with 100% better customer service and will continue to give them my business. I hope the owner and/or management will do something with this and better that place. It's a shame, how one person can change the face of a business. I'm sorry but this had to be said. I called and spoke with Sultan, explained that I was purchasing from Kansas City, and asked if they could ship the truck to me. He immediately assured me that shipping was no problem and that they ship all over. I also had my own financing through my bank, and again, there was absolutely no issue. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly accommodating and professional. Because it was a three-day holiday weekend, my biggest concern was that someone else would purchase the truck before my bank could finalize everything. My bank ended up taking the better part of a week to get their payment to Fam Vans. I asked if I could put down a deposit to hold the truck, and they allowed me to do that with the assurance that if something went wrong with the financing, my deposit would be refunded. Once everything was finalized, that deposit could be put toward my shipping costs. That gave me such peace of mind. The office staff were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process. One of the ladies was incredibly communicative with both me and my banker, making sure the paperwork and contracts were handled quickly and correctly. Another office staff member emailed the contracts over immediately through DocuSign so there was never any unnecessary waiting or confusion. And today, my financing was finally finalized! What really impressed me is that even though the truck hasn't even shipped yet, they're already working on shipping quotes for me. They're taking care of finding the shipper while I handle the shipping cost, which is one less thing I have to worry about. For someone buying a vehicle from halfway across the country, that level of communication, flexibility, and customer service means EVERYTHING. I never felt like I was just another sale. Every question was answered, every concern was taken seriously, and everyone has gone above and beyond to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible. I'm so glad I found Fam Vans, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a van or box truck. I'll definitely be sharing another update once my 16' box truck arrives in Kansas City, but so far, Fam Vans has exceeded my expectations in every way.
