The person doing my "intake" asked me which program I was here for - I told him nobody told me and shouldn't he know?? The admissions person I spoke with over the phone said I would have "chef made meals". I was dropped off at a Vons with a $75 gift card to buy groceries for the week. As someone with a dual diagnosis, this was incredibly misleading and resulted in me not eating for 24 hours. The same admissions person said "the home i would be in would have shared rooms, but plenty of bathrooms". I arrived to the house which had 1 bathroom shared among 7 women. Sadly my time here only lasted 18 hours due to the fact that what was described to me over the phone was the exact opposite of what i walked into. Don't waste your time here. "House manager" or any WWR employee was not at the home I was assigned to when I arrived. It was 4 hours later that she showed up and was using her vape as a pointer while showing me the house rules. Not a single person here was professional or helpful - they just want your money. Bedspread on my bed was also COVERED in stains upon my arrival.

I was admitted to SeaCliff on 8/25/17 after spending a week in New Start Detox in Santa Ana, Ca. I…read morewas scared. I had overdosed on heroin on 8/17/17 and an angel sent me to New Start telling me that I would go for detox and then to a longer term facility where I would be safe and taught how to get my life back together without the use of drugs and alcohol. When my detox discharged me and brought me to SeaCliff I was so terrified. I was angry, I had so much self hate, I had no self worth and I felt hopeless. The staff immediately assured me that those feelings were temporary and that it would get better. It did. I met the owner, Daryll, that day. He had an open door policy. Daryll ended up being like an Uncle to me. From day 1 he let me know that I was important and he believed in me. Then I met my counselor Dave. Dave was another one, he had been through hell and back like myself so we related. With those 2, the therapist, the support staff and the 12 step fellowship, I began to grow into a woman who stopped hating myself and everyone else. I actually started recognizing my worth, I learned boundaries, I learn how to have relationships with my family and friends, I learned how to help others, they gave me the freedom to get a sponsor and go out and work those 12 steps like my life depended on it because it did and then get my own sponsee and help her, and now I have 9 months free from active addiction. I graduated from the program at Seacliff and now I live on my own, just 4 miles away. The team helped me make a plan so that I'm close by because my blood family lives on the East Coast. My Seacliff family is just a quick ride away and I stay close to them, my meetings are right down the road, my sponsor is right down the road, Daryl and Dave are just a phone call away as well as the support staff. Although I graduated they are still here for me just like they were when I was in their facility. Just because you graduate doesn't mean you have to leave their family. That facility literally saved my life. They taught me how to live again. They had simple rules that I respected, they took me to meetings everyday, I attended their groups everyday, they had fun events for us, I had never been in a treatment center which had such a family setting that taught me so much about living free from active addiction at the same time. Every time I had a bad day I would run into Dave's office or Darryl's office and when I would make mountains out of mole hills they would say we can get through this this is not the end of the world and they would handle the problem. Words can't express my gratitude nor explain the benefits I've reaped from SeaCliff Treatment Center. I've been to MANY rehabs but not like this. I've been to the fanciest, I've been to the institutionalized ones... this place is the best because I nevet felt like I was actually cared about like I was here. I had the freedom to go out and adult, get my sponsor and get busy with the program after my SeaCliff Responsiblities were handled for the day. I would never go anywhere else after being here... There are so many other amazing staff members at SeaCliff and so many awesome things that go on there and I am blessed that I get yo go there and be an example for the new clients and show them that it works. God willing I never have to go to treatment again as a client. I could keep writing for days about this place! If you follow the program and the rules that SeaCliff has and get a sponsorand work the 12 steps then you can live this amazing life that I have found too!!!! Jenny and Chris did my intake and made me feel welcome and at home as soon as I met them. Chris is hilarious. Jackson made every outing one to remember and always had a way of connecting the clients. Nicole always had a positive energy that rubbed off on me, and we would bond over music. Thank you Rene for always taking us to AA meetings and the store for a soda or vape! In general I'm so thankful to have come here every single one of the staff mad a huge impact on me whether that be personally or through groups. The facilitators are also incredible, Brian was my personal favorite. The house is in a beautiful location and your daily schedule has the perfect balance, focusing heavily on your personal journey of recovery, but also giving more than enough time to unwind and enjoy your day. This place is an insurance scam. They flew me out just to kick me out for having medication induced panic attacks. I asked to speak to my psychiatrist and was ignored. I'm bipolar and they just put me on a bunch of random drugs. now I'm getting ignored by everyone and I'm just trying to get all my things I was forced to leave. I'll never get them. And almost certain they never even looked. I was being fed around 12 pills a day all prescribed by randoms. That asked the same robot ass question everytime. I never met with the same doctor more than 2 times other than 1 time. it was just a random asking questions. They refused to contact my personal psychiatrist. I ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES. MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY. for me or them to get into contact with him. I was ignored. I'm gonna get my doctor to also file reports on this situation. BROCK lied to my mother about multiple things including the program in general. JONAS is also a liar and cares nothing about you. JERNEY LIED TO MY FATHER. And me. He treated me like crap straight up crap, talked to me like a child and belittled me over the phone, I was in tears just trying to communicate on how to get my stuff I was gave no option to get before I was kicked out. He's a jerk ASSHOLE, him and Brock both are convincing and manipulative over the phone. Don't believe what they're saying because once you get there you never see them, hear from them and if they say you will they are lying. Ive filed reports still working on one. The staff are just random druggies off the streets with horrible attitudes. Like think about Bhad Bhabie but no teeth and more passive aggressive. These people work for the check and got the job because they were on drugs. They have no clue what they're doing. AND THIS IS A DUAL PROGRAM FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE. If I had no money they would have just let me out on the street to fend for myself that's how heartless of a program this is. They got all my meds correct lean on time and if there was an issue, they promptly corrected it. The best part is they allowed you to take your furry friend whether it be one or three and they worked out any issues With other people's pets. If there was any the homes were super comfortable and I really loved how they got out every day and did something no matter what it was from golfing to bowling to getting your nails done, which was super cool. It was just a really inviting place. It felt like home. The groups were a perfect amount. The timing of them was great, and the amount of downtime was really appreciated And they work with you. If you don't have insurance they really want to see people get better. I wish they let you have your phone. I think that's a little dumb but other than that, I really loved this place.
