The out side of the store is really cute. The inside has a lot of cool, cute things Unfortunately, our experience was bad. First off, I asked to use the dressing room to change my toddlers diaper. The older lady was rude and kept insisting I take their diapers to the trash out front (which I understand) but she continued to try and force me even after I told her I was going to hold on to them (the store is big so I didn't want to have to walk back out of the store just to throw it away just to come back in. Second, I was with my family - my adopted sister looks white, me and my 2 babies are light skinned Hispanic (we could pass for white) and my husband is dark skinned Hispanic. I WISH my husband had told me before I left the store because I would have went off on ALL of them. I ended up not buying anything just out of coincidence. After we got in the truck my husband told me about how the whole family that was working there constantly had one of them stalking him as he was shopping. And after reading a couple other reviews, apparently there a common theme - Hispanic. I can't imagine what they would've done to my 15 year-old sister if they knew that she was actually black (she's black with white skin, red hair). If I had known they may be racist we never would have stopped and waisted our time. read more

This establishment is too big for words. The imposing exterior of this establishment grabs your immediate attention with its sandcastle design. This place has absolutely everything you can imagine related to your beach needs and decor. They have the usual souvenirs such as personalized keychains, magnets, bottle openers and trinkets. They definitely excel in the area of shell craft items, coral collections, glassware, sandles, clothing, hats, and windchimes. If you want to try some clothes on, they do have three dressing rooms. This place is so cool & filled with lots of unique little goodies. I love the sand castle outside, but the inside was just as unique. It has your typical touristy things but also has some really unique items I have never seen before. Prices are very cheap, compared to what I thought they'd be elsewhere. Come and look at the stuff but don't forget to take a cool photo at the front. It's definitely a hot spot, even in the freezing cold, a lot of people were stopping by to snap a photo. read more

Whenever we visit North Padre Island we have to stop here. There are numerous touristy gift shops in the area. But this is our favorite. The people that work here are friendly and helpful. The store has nice clothing and swimwear. And they had the usual T-shirts, coffee mugs and other items that you would expect to find. They have some items that most gift shops don't have. A friend of ours picked up a nice wine bottle topper and my wife picked up some pretty wind chimes. Hope to visit again soon. read more

On a day exploring souvenir shops it was not hard to spot a huge sandcastle sculpture where I had to get photos of it. I parked, and my wife and I walked to it taking photos and selfies. It was spectacular on the likes of the great artworks in Europe. Well perhaps on level of Las Vegas, but anyway enjoy it very much and has a lot details. It was now time to go inside to notice a very large store full of all kinds of beach trinkets. You will even find small rides but not sure if in working order. It easy to get lost in this superstore where it's kind of a maze, so keep track of your kids. If you are in the process of redecorating your beach condo then this place is for you. There also the typical shirts and sand toys here, but noticed have an extensive shell collection. The outside sandcastle is definitely a showstopper and great idea to get tourists here. read more

I'm Hispanic and noticed a lot of other white shoppers she wasn't paying attention to. Employees of Ocean Treasures, just because I'm Mexican doesn't mean I steal things. Typical beach town gift shop with souvenirs ranging from jewelry, clothing, and Knick knacks. Fairly large with a huge variety. We collect post cards when we travel and weren't wowed by the tiny selection here. My friends daughter was delighted by the "free gift" basket with a purchase. The last stop on what seemed to be an endless tourist shop marathon- I was only talked into stopping by the 2 year old who was intrigued by the sandcastle designed storefront...okay, I wanted to stop and touch it and look at it too, but in all honesty I was not wanting to go inside. All of the souvenir/gift shops on the island of Port Aransas are close to identical, so I didn't expect much. Wrooooong! This place was pretty huge, and had a very large variation of gifts. A huge perk as well is that everything here is at least a few dollars cheaper than it is on the island. They have toys, wind chimes, hats, shirts, collectibles, shells, but on a much bigger and creative scale then the other shops we had visited. They even have an old fortune teller machine that gave us some pretty bogus but entertaining fortunes. I am assuming that half the population would rather spend the few extra dollars for an item in Port A opposed to Corpus (though this is not far at all from Port A) for 'authenticity' value...ie, if you're in Chicago, you're probably not buying an I Love New York shirt, but for the tightwads like myself who avoid these stores like the plague to begin with but may have those in your party that need a shirt or lighter to remind themselves that they were in Port A during 2012, this stop isn't too terribly painful. read more

Huge souvenir and gift shop! Gave my girls to choose two items and they were overwhelmed what to choose from. Spent the first 15-20 minutes perusing the store before taking another 15 minutes to decide what to buy. So many seashell items, toys, clothes, jewelry, swim gears, and etc. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes plus in that store. read more

Love all the things they sell, very unique and because of that reason I worked for them for 2 months. My experience working there, getting to know the older cashier women, working there plus getting to know the owner of this gift shop was one of my worst horrible experiences I've ever had. After looking through this rather cluttered store I went to make my purchases. I had three little items and remembered that I wanted to buy my friend something, so I apologized and asked if I could go grab what I wanted and it was literally 5 feet away. The cashier looked at me as if I had slapped her and rolled her eyes. I again apologized as I set down the item and was again given attitude as I completed my purchase. I won't be coming back here, because I don't want to be treated like I am a nuisance. The store was practically deserted you would think they would be happy to have some customers. read more

We just got out the store and I just want to say to all colored tourists, or to white people that care about racism in America. Don't come shop at this store, me and my girl friends of color were shopping and we all spent at least $50 each. We're all tourists from Dallas, Tx that just stopped by because we thought it looked like a cool spot to shop for souvenirs at. I didn't notice I was being watched and followed because I was on the phone, until my friend told me after she had made her purchase. She told me they were being followed all around the store and stared at, and that she even heard the manager/old woman at checkout, tell her employee "make sure you keep an eye on them" when we had JUST walked in. When I told the manager her and her employees made my friends uncomfortable she denied all of it and even denied what my friend saw come out of her lips. It's a terrible thing to be racially profiled, we were the only people of color in the store and as soon as we walked in she said that. That should tell you enough about the place. read more

In light of the current events in America, I would think that racially profiling customers is something employees would be taught not to do. I was in the store with family members and one employee just kept circling us, she would walk by on one aisle look and walk down the other aisle to the other side and turn and look back at us, she had done this about 5 times. She never stopped to ask if we needed assistance, just pretending to fold and straighten things, we were looking at the sale t-shirts that are just thrown in a big boat all sizes at the side of the store. So being the person I am I said out loud she is watching because she thinks we are going to steal something. I knew she heard because she sent over a second girl to walk through and stop at that same table and fold that same towel. This is unacceptable behavior not just in this time and era where relations are already tense. but at anytime. Take the time to treat your African American customers the same way you treat your Caucasian customers. There was something for everyone in here. This is a HUGE gift shop with reasonable prices. The store associates follow you around a lot, (that's their job, I know.. loss prevention..) but it made me feel a little uncomfortable. It wasn't like I was asked of I needed help, I was just followed. Kinda weird. I've worked in customer service positions most of my life, so I get it. But next time tell the younger associates to ask of they can help find something. I had a basket full of things, so it was pretty obvious I was buying a lot.. We spent $90, so like I said we had a basket full. Otherwise the store was very clean and the cashier was really nice. I would definitely come back. read more

We always pass by this place on our way to Port. A and we finally had a chance to go. They had so many cool things. I was extremely disappointed in their customer service. I bought this beautiful necklace in a gift case and when I was ready to check out they took it out of the box and I told them that I wanted it in the gift box and they said they reuse them so they gave me a smaller box instead which the necklace didnt even fit in, while she was ringing my necklace up she put it in the bag and slammed it against the counter. luckily it didn't break. She didnt even offer to wrap it for me neatly in the new little box they replaced. I left there extremely upset and had a bad experience. Although they have really cool things and that beautiful mermaid statue, I wont be returning again. They really need to learn how to treat their customers kindly and to make them feel welcome. after all they would be nothing without customers like us they are plenty of other souvenirs stores that have almost the same exact thing as them. So if they want to stay in business they should learn good customer service. read more

I came here just once the other day and this place is HUGE! You are sure to find a souvenir here for sure. It doesn't seem that big from the outside, but on the inside it's a super store of beachy stuff. The gigantic sand castle art outside on the front is beautiful and should be viewed up close. Only weird thing, is the restrooms are outside in the back of the building. Using the bathroom in the middle of the night is kinda creepy with this location. Oh yeah, I just remembered something that's funny to me at least..... the bathroom stall wall is covered in words,names, phone numbers and sayings. Oh yeaah!! You can see who was there and when, have Jesus touch your soul, learn new words, make a friend,have a "good time" or just be amused like me with all there is to read when peeing. read more

Was visiting Corpus Christi & Padre Island last week with family. We stopped at this place after a day at the beach for some trinkets & gifts to bring home. The store has everything you need for gifts, beach decor, or beach gear. While checking out, I was told that Hurricane Harvey hit 2 of their other stores pretty hard. This store is ginormous. You will probably be reeled in by the ginormous sandcastle on the storefront (which you can take pictures with). Needless to say, you can definitely keep yourself occupied for a good two hours by walking around this store. Lots to choose from and most of the prices aren't too outrageous for souvenirs. They have several children sections, which is nice. Overall, a good place to buy souvenirs if you're on Padre Island. read more
