I had made a few calls looking for a car service and the fees are quite high. I have been left in awkward situations by car share app service in the past and wanted to be sure we had a ride this trip. Gary's fee was more reasonable than the other companies I contacted and he seemed conscientious on the phone. Morning of our pick up Gary sent a text about 15 minutes before hand to let us know he was on his way. He pulled up and sent another text. He has a comfortable, clean vehicle with a good amount of space for bags. He's friendly and polite and we had a nice, easy going conversation during our 30 minute ride. We paid via Venmo, he helped with the bags and had a friendly good-bye, Gary wishing us good travels. We would definitely use Gary's car service again. Good communication throughout and you are talking directly to the owner-operator, he arrived on time, is a safe driver and provided excellent service.

Purchase a Saturday - Sunday round trip ticket on the train for ten dollars if you are taking a weekend trip into Boston. During the week prices fluctuates depending on time of day, or purchase a commuter pass. If you are thinking of doing it yourself here is a reason why you should not. We ran into a family on our vacation that drove to Logan and find the parking garages full. They had to valet their car without knowing where it was going. When they arrive at Logan after their flight, they have to go to the parking garage and find a valet. The trailer is small with about 10-15 seating and 1 unisex bathroom. No snacks or vending machines on the premises. Once on board its open seating and you can move about the 3 levels of the ferry. Lower and 2nd deck has electrical outlets. Bring your own snacks, drinks, book to read, a light sweater for your arms, cards to pass the time. Go during the week, the ferry was 1/4 full. Our first time using the Quonset RI based service to get to Martha's Vineyard. For us, it shaves an…read morehour off the drive to the main ferry at Woods Hole on Cape Cod. The trip takes 1 hour 45 minutes. While this may seem too long, it's an extra hour to sit, read, watch TV, sleep, eat or drink rather than battle traffic! Please note that no cars are transported - only people, luggage, and bicycles. It's more expensive, and there are far fewer choices for travel time, and the ride might be a challenge in poor weather for those who are prone to seasickness, but the rest is all upside. Clean vessels, ample dockside parking and a choice of seating inside or topside (covered or in the weather). Luggage is checked and tagged for you upon boarding, and lined up for you to grab upon arrival. Fresh bagels (toasted or not), yogurt, snacks, coffee, tea, soda and beer are available after you get underway. TVs are mounted in the below deck seating area. Seating is comfortable, and restrooms are clean. You pay in advance for parking - CASH ONLY. You then check in a "trailer", and cue up for boarding. This would be five stars except for two items - (1) gravel parking lot and getting your luggage from car to dock. This will be an olympic event next year (2) no public restroom at check in, so if you drive four hours and did not stop, you'll be praying for boarding to start. We were really happy with the whole process (except the gravel) and would definitely use them again.
