We did take out. Food was hot and good. Large portions. I do think they should label the boxes in which combination everything goes too.

We always look forward to their Honey Walnut Shrimp on the nights we do take out! But last night was a disappointment! The shrimp was soggy, extremely salty and cold! read more

I like their food which is given in big servings. They servers are friendly, kind and nice efficient. The building is not extra large but it is nice, Light and clean. read more

The shrimp lo mein was outstanding. Service was fast and friendly and the price was solid for the food portions you get. read more

The food was prepared without any quality assurance. The shrimp was nearly raw as was the chicken. I tried to get the attention of the waiter and explain that the food was not prepared correctly but I was ignored. It's really a shame because I try to support our local restaurants and don't like to leave poor reviews, but this was just downright awful. read more

I have enjoyed eating here several times. Great staff and not real expensive. I have taken my granddaughters there and they like the appetizers. read more

Just left with the dinner on the table. Jet black straight hair in the food. Tried to be respectful of the other patrons as we are all human and mistakes happen, however the owner came out to address the concerns and was extremely rude and said it wasn't any of her staff. Benches worn down and uncomfortable. No tables to offer in the main dinning area. Once we complained, at that point the entire staff was rude. Wouldn't make eye contact and talked between themselves as we were paying for our drinks. Never going back again. Also. I wasn't even going to post a review but after being treated like criminals and with the disrespectful service, others need to know before they chose to go to this establishment. So sad people can't take ownership and still geel the need treat others horrible for their mistakes. read more

Ocean Sky - You lost out business. - Chinese Near Me - Chehalis, Washington

Respectfully, I've really tried. Almond chicken isn't chicken nuggets with gravy. It's a single piece of chicken battered and proper almond gravy across the top. The tempura prawns were so heavily battered they almost were inedible. The soup was good. The service was pretty non existent. Servers sat at a back table watching YouTube. No ambient music playing either to at least cut the dead quiet vibe. You guys can and should do better. Chehalis deserves better! read more

Server was nice but abrasive to us when trying to order a family meal. Overall felt rushed while dining and didn't appreciate being charged 2.50 for empty plates. read more

We are still on the hunt for some good local Chinese food and Ocean Sky was next on our list. We went on a Saturday at about 5:30 and were seated right away. The booth was clean. We were given our paper menus, very beat up and dirty, I kind of didn't want to touch it. We placed our order and watched the droves of people pour in. Most to dine in, a few for pick up. Although very busy, the staff did a great job moving with the flow. The food came out at a decent pace. I got the #4 which was the BBQ pork fried rice, BBQ pork, and sweet and sour chicken. It's was ok. The rice was dry, the BBQ pork was tough, but dipped in the hot mustard made it better. The chicken was the best part of the meal. The portions were huge, I got a to go box (not styrofoam btw) and it was filled to the brim. Heated up the next day thought I could doctor the rice some with my own sauces, but same outcome as above. Only the chicken was worth saving. The one thing that bothered me the most was the dirty dishes cart that they had sitting out by the front reception. Dishes would just be kinda tossed in there across from our booth, I tried not to look in that direction. I think we will try again, maybe pick up next time. read more

I have been purchasing from this place for a couple of years now. Great, friendly service. Workers are really nice. But the last two times I have ordered the Chicken chow mein, the crunchy noodles that come with it have been pretty darn stale, which ruins the chow mein. For $16.00 I would expect fresh crunchy noodles. Oh well, time to look for a new chinese place. Too bad, because the people were very nice. read more

I drive from Lacey to eat Chinese here. No other place compares. The food is fresh and tastes like it should. I recommend: Mongolian Beef, Triple Crown, MooGoo Gai Pan, all of the fried rice, and the sesame chicken. It's usually quiet if you dine in and the service is great. If your on a trip through chehalis I would recommend trying this place out. read more

Portions were decent sized, food was served well and in a decent time. And the price was reasonable. Overall would recommend it. 7.5/10 read more

First time visit. Excellent Veggie Chow Mein and Sweet and Sour Pork. Tasted very fresh. Homemade sweet and sour sauce. Much less red dye than many other establishments. We will be returning soon! read more

I order take out from ocean sky all the time & it's a meal for two with large portions enough to feed 4 tbh! Best Chinese food in Chehalis!

My favorite thing to eat here in the winter is the vegetable soup and I always ask them to add shrimp. They are always accommodating! The General Tso is always delicious as well. My kids love their egg flower soup too. Very friendly owners !! read more

I tried to substitute something on the menu that said could be substituted but the waitress made the whole thing sound confusing. The food was ok. The service was minimal. The ambiance was comfortable. All in all it is an ok place to eat. read more

The food wasn't good at all, the lo-mein special I ordered was bizarre. The meat (chicken?) had weird consistency, under seasoned, a lot of noodles and not enough meat. I honestly wouldn't go back. read more

If your on a budget this is the place for you. They have a good breakfast and lunch and is located right next to the indoor rain spot.

This place was absolutely incredible. My husband and I hosted the rehearsal dinner for my sons wedding. They served over 30 people with delicious food, quickly, and they were so polite and the best part was their prices or so reasonable, and did I mention how great the food was? There was so much food every single person in our group was able to take home a large container full of food home with them read more

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. The food is always wonderful, the service is excellent and family friendly. Annie does a great job running this restaurant and always makes sure to stop by your table and see how you're doing. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. read more

I've never considered this to be a really good Chinese restaurant, but it's usually not the worst. That changed last night. We ordered two combinations, and both were beyond horrible! The chicken was overcooked and dry while the breading was soggy. The beef was dry and tough. The BBQ pork was dry and tasted like it was cooked last week. The shrimp was also dry and overcooked. Also, the sauce for the chicken, what little there was. was tasteless. It will be a Very long time before they will rob me again!! read more

I enjoyed the food very much; I will definitely go back and make it my go to Chinese food place.

Good quality an service in comparison to the options available in the area. Food is prepared quickly in sizable portions for $7-8 a plate. Inside is bright and attractive with wooden paneling and clean mineral table tops. Very nice family run place. Would definitely recommend for a quick bit to eat & to-go traveling up or down the I-5. read more

Very good food. Service was quick. Huge portions. Very nice staff. I really enjoyed it and will come back soon.

Was never treated so rudely. They refused any adjustments to the dishes that every other restaurant I've been to would readily do. I was forced to pay for things I didn't want and they couldn't even give me a cup of soup for omitted items. Never coming back. read more

The food was bland, tasteless, and greasy, especially the almond fried chicken. The bbq pork was dry and overcooked.

This was one of my favorites for Chinese food until my recent November visit. The service was good but few diners due to COVID. My meal was not good. I ordered Almond Fried Chicken and it was simply chicken chunks in batter. Also, chicken was tough and stringy and hard to chew. The Chicken Chow Mein vegetables were so tough I could not eat them. I am not sure what has caused the change in quality but I will not go back. read more

Fake Chinese food plus their rice wasn't even cooked all the way making it taste like you are eating stones. Even after telling the waitress nothing was done. read more

Ocean Sky is your run of the mill Americanized Chinese food joint, but they do a pretty good job of it compared to similar places I've set foot in. Hefty portions ensure you will be taking home a little white box with a metallic handle on top. The broccoli chicken was excellent while the other dishes I sampled (including bbq pork lo mein, fried rice, almond chicken and the egg flower soup) all paled in comparison. Overall, this is a good, cheap place to take your family on a Friday night or even to host a large group of people. There are better Chinese offerings, but this one is a favorite of the locals. Odds are you won't find yourself in Chehalis anytime soon, unless you happen to live there or are stopping to gas up on your way to Seattle or Portland, but, at least you'll be able to smell the nearby Chehalis Mint Factory when you set foot in the parking lot. Mmmm, mint factory... read more

Stopped by here while driving from Portland to Seattle....it is a hidden gem. First off i know seattle and portland have great chinese food, but around here in the middle of nowhere....it is great. Possibly the healthiest and one of the tastiest i being to. The chiken brocoli is very good. The general tso chicken was not too heavy on the sauce...which made it good. Fried to perfection. If you are ever hungry on I5 and wanting a place to eat at....this is it. The hostess/owner is very nice and funny, hence why I gave this a 4 star rating. Sniff sniff...is that mint? Mmmm mint..... read more

My friend and I chose to eat here over Easter weekend. It was a big mistake. First up - my food. Chicken Teriyaki. A simple dish. When I tried to eat it, something tasted way wrong with the sauce. Next time I the waitress came back, I told her the sauce tasted funny, like it was going bad. She proceeded to lecture me about how everyone liked their Teriyaki chicken. I stated again, that I, as the customer, did not like it and she took it away. She then came back 5 minutes later to tell me the cook and kitchen staff tasted it and said it was fine. Agitated, I stated that I really didn't care that they liked it, I did not. She then stated there was nothing wrong with it, that it was made FRESH YESTERDAY. Mind you we were eating around 730 pm, so that sauce was a good 24+ hours old. This waitress came back a total of 4 times to argue with me about the Teriyaki chicken so when she finally asked if I wanted something else, I was like "no thank you". My friend had a chow mein, chicken lo mein and something else dish. The chow mein was tasteless and the lo mein was greasy. Had to really dig around to find the chicken in the chicken lo mein. Sorry excuse for Chinese food. I won't ever be back to this place. I am still shaking my head from the Fresh Yesterday comments, which the waitress came back to the table twice to tell me that it was made fresh yesterday and it was fine....Cause I'm telling you...I love Teriyaki Chicken and this was not fine..It was bad.... If you live around Chehalis and want good Chinese food, drive the 5 extra minutes to Panda in Centralia. You won't be disappointed there are made nauseous by the food. read more

Very good small town 'murican Chinese restaurant. You know the kind. The same standard fare China has exported around the globe that you doubt many Chinese have ever actually eaten. Yummy chow mein, almond chicken, mongolian beef, kung pao, sweet & sour...nothing revolutionary, or remarkable, just decent, tasty Chinese fare. Portions are average. Prices are average. I think "Average" sums it up best. Why then am I giving them FOUR stars? Because in this day and age, average is getting harder to find, and their staff is friendly, the place is clean, and service is reasonably quick. Those things count too. read more
