The location is so beautiful! Being steps away from the beach and the infamous Haystack Rock add to the overall pleasure of staying on the coast. When the tide is out you can walk for miles to explore to your heart's content. The rooms are comfortable and very well put together! You have everything you could need, including blankets for sitting around a bonfire in the evening - which is one of the most enjoyable parts about staying here! Breakfast in the morning is a special treat. It is delivered to either your room or the patio if you wish (weather permitting.) We chose to use the patio and enjoyed having our delicious meal while gazing out at the Pacific. I am sure we could have stayed there all day! We also found that we were within 2 hours of activities that we wanted to do and the drives were glorious. We went whale watching one day, on another we went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory Tour, and we also checked out a Maritime Museum and a micro-brewery. My husband was so impressed that he has made the declaration that we may have to do this as an annual get-a-way. You won't have to ask me twice!! read more

Caveat Emptor - On 12-4-19, we booked a stay for May 2020. In April 2020, we gave 30+ day notice that we were cancelling our visit due to the virus and mandated quarantine by the Oregon Governor. We were informed by the owners that they were imposing a 10% 'cancellation fee'. They even applied the 'cancellation fee' to the room tax, which of course, would never be collected. We believe that this action is at best illegal and at the least poor customer service. (exploring options with Oregon DOJ) Caveat Emptor. read more

Perfect way to start the new year! Arch Cape is well-situated between Cannon Beach and Manzanita, so it's easy to hop on 101 and trade the serene for 'beach urban' in just a short drive. We've stayed in a number of B & B's and OPI ranks among the best. Here's why... Breakfast- None of that awkward morning conversation with other inn residents. You choose breakfast from a creative, healthy, delicious menu and it gets delivered right to your room (at your choice of time)! We're self-proclaimed foodies and we agree that this is one of the best inn breakfasts we've had. Proprietors- They're very friendly, relaxed, helpful and discrete. At some B & B's the owners are very particular about when you'll be coming/going, what you're doing, etc. Ron and Bruce are attentive, yet not intrusive. Rooms- Again, rooms in other people's homes can be dicey...filled with odd knick knacks, squeaky beds and musty books. Not at OPI. It is clear that they put a great deal of thought into the rooms. It isn't just the decor that we loved, but the quality of the bed, the sheets, the towels and furniture. It was an easy room to hole up in during the rain and quite spacious, despite being one of the 'smaller' ones. The pictures on the website don't do it justice (amazing, giant triple head rain shower, gas fire place, custom cabinets, wood floors). Drawbacks were few-- I'd suggest ottomans in the sitting area so that guests can comfortably read by the fire. The bathroom is form over function, so there is a lack of surfaces on which to lay a bag of toiletries. Along the same line, I'd appreciate a full-length bathroom door (there is a door, so don't be alarmed), to ensure the upmost privacy, but it's a small detail and not a deterrent. Additionally, the TV screen is quite small, even from the bed and while I know it's not the focal point of the room, it would still be nice to have a larger screen. We highly recommend the Ocean Point Inn and we will continue to go back. read more

We spent a weekend at Ocean Point Inn for our anniversary. It was the perfect place. The rooms are simplistic yet elegant. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious, and I love the fact that they will cater to your diet. You are just steps from the beach, which was wonderful. Another plus about that as well is that area of the beach is not crowded at all since most people were over in Cannon Beach, which we loved. Bruce and Ron who own the place were very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. The only con we found was that in the junior suites you can hear here your neighbor talking when in the bathroom, but just talking, not anyone doing their business. :) Despite that, everything else was great. We can't wait to stay there again. read more

Skip Cannon Beach and head south! This place was exceptional. The Ocean Point Inn is a converted house with three hotel like rooms. It is not at all like a B&B (even though the owners live on property), but more like a really nice hip hotel with stunning views. Make sure to stay in the upstairs room, since it has a great view of the beach from the living area. The room had a separate area to watch TV, the faux fireplace or the ocean. Two highlights in the room: first, the espresso machine with 10 or so coffees to chose from; second, the two headed shower! There is an outdoor area with stunning views of the beach and the cape. And the fire pit is kick-ass. It is a hard place to leave. read more

This place exceeded my expectations of a little place to stay at the beach. Everything from their service, breakfast, and cleanliness was like a breath of fresh air for my husband and I. The rooms are modern with a crisp beachy feel. The beach feels completely private and they bring cozy blankets to you with cutesy chocolates to enjoy while watching the sun set. I can't say enough about OPI! It's all in the details and every single one is well thought out and executed. It starts from the warm welcome, tasty daily home made treats by the bed every afternoon, makeup wipes by the sink, Aveda products, well done design/decorative finishes that made inquire multiple times about where things came from so I could get my hands on the items to the beyond comfortable bed with sounds of crashing waves making for a fabulous night sleep to thoughtful service, mouth-watering breakfasts and the list goes on. This place DOES NOT disappoint and I look forward to getting back for future getaways. This is a perfect location if you're looking for a private beach feel away from the touristy places. This was my first experience at a B&B, and let me say this was the place to go!! The rooms are expertly decorated to be modern and cozy, and the huge, tiled rain shower was outstanding! Daily breakfast and gourmet pizzas delivered to your room or the outdoor patio overlooking the beach was scrumptious and better than eating out! And being just a couple steps from the beach, sand and water...what more could you ask for?! Exceptional service, our stay was well above what was expected. I hesitated to write this review because this place is so wonderful I wanted to keep it a secret. We stayed here for four nights in mid-August. This place far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the View room, which is upstairs. It has a lovely view of the ocean. The room itself is neat, clean and decorated tastefully. The breakfast fare is high quality and the hot meal was different every day. Unlike other B&Bs I have gone to, you can have your meal delivered to your room. There are many small touches provided, such as a warming rack in the bathroom for bath towels. If you are looking for a quiet, private getaway, this is the place. Also, Leech Lane beach access 19 is a beautiful area without the masses of tourists that Cannon Beach / Haystack Rock have. read more

The Oregon Coast has many choices on where to stay. We wanted to avoid the tourist haven of Cannon Beach, but be close to some of the amenities. We settled here in Arch Cape for a couple nights as we toured the coast. What an amazing little place in the world. The owners are thoughtful, helpful, yet not invasive. Just how we like it. We enjoyed the afternoon and sunset with wine at the fire pit overlooking the ocean and we had breakfast at a picnic table overlooking the scenery prior to everyone else starting their day! The rooms are high tech and receive meticulous care. If you need anything just get Bruce. The breakfast was substantial and top notch! You couldn't ask for much more in a beach vacation. Bruce introduced us to a smaller town (more our style and speed) heading South on the coast...Manzanita - we fell in love with this little town. Keep up the good work guys! I booked overnight and also booked a massage. The "spa" part of the business is actually your room. One of the owners does the massage. Turns out I could not arrive in time so called to cancel the massage. I was charged for half the price. This is not a policy on the website nor was I told this when I cancelled. I emailed to ask for a refund and never received a reply. Poor business in my book. To all you out of state visitors, this is not how a proper Oregonian would operate. Try someplace else. read more

B&B is a misnomer. This place is fantastic. Hosts are very cordial. View is fantastic. No other place like this place on the Oregon Coast. Worth every penny. I would spend more money for the breakfast. Seriously. Breakfast at OPI is like an ocean wave that laps at your front door every morning bringing the bounty of the ocean and the forest to you. Every morning. Place was quiet. Solitude. Only 3 units. Owners live on site and are very accommodating and helpful. They provide firewood for a fire in a fire ring each night. We stayed 5 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. There are great little towns to explore each day. Gearhart, Manzanita, cannon beach. Every night we were glad to be back 'home' by our sunset. And they have freshly made cookies or brownies waiting in our room when we got back. They said 60% of their business is repeat business.
