The Mist never disappoints. There are places you grow to enjoy over the years and they seem to only get better......The Mist is that place. Food, drinks, live music, atmosphere, mix of people, chilled vibe.....all good!! read more

The Ocean Mist is a great dive bar, with hot live music. They also serve a killer breakfast. That being said, don't go here if you are looking for cleanliness, because the place is grungy. That gives it character in my opinion. We went here for breakfast and Bloody Marys. Delicious, tingly Bloody Mary and good coffee. I ordered the California Benedict, with avocado, bacon, and tomato. It was delicious; the eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was perfectly seasoned. It is one of my go-to breakfast spots in South County. read more

Always fantastic! The view, the food, the staff & the music! It is one of the greatest locations left in the world.

Great local spot. Awesome views and vibe. I love the brunch here. They have a Mexican flare on most of the menu. The specials are always great. They have great music at night. And fun events lie taco Tuesday and bingo etc. read more

A must stop breakfast site anytime we are in R.I. Great food and great service. Kelly is terrific. There are few things that compare with sitting over the ocean sipping a Bloody Mary. Highly recommended.. read more

Haven't been here in a while. One of the nicest beach bars on the East Coast! Precariously perched over the Atlantic.... it's neither here nor there. Friendly staff. Biggest surprise was the food! Best fish and chips I've had in years! Wife's burger was delicious. Not much more to say. If you're a local, time to revisit. If you're a tourist, put the Mist on your "to do" list. You won't be disappointed! read more

In a nutshell.... Location-Great, Food-average, service was slow.... Looked like maybe missing a staff member. Outdoor area was just OK. Will have to come back when they have a band playing. read more

Went for 94 HJY Spring Break Party. Can't ask for a better location right on the water. The place is packed but the service from the Bar tenders was great, handling the huge crowd with speed yet friendly. The place has a rustic barn type feeling which is cozy and perfect for a waterfront bar. It was a great time in the bands were awesome. And we had some picking food and it was very good too. read more

The only reason to come here is that it's a bar on the beach. Which is fantastic of course, but it's just barely okay otherwise. You definitely have to be in the mood for a true dive bar and you definitely have to use the restroom before you come because you do NOT want to have to venture in there. And you definitely have to sit far, far away from the facilities in this place or you will catch the stench emanating from the toilet. Nice. I honestly don't understand how people eat in that place with the smell of feces in the air like it is. read more

biker dive bar with way better than average bar food - breakfast until 2 - 8 different variations of eggs benedict - my husband is partial to the 'irish bennies' corned beef instead of canadian bacon and mustard hollandaise. I like the Mexican dishes. The location is sadly dying - the water is literally under your feet when you're on the deck in the back - enjoy it while you can. read more

After a day of boogie boarding and surfing my wife and I always head to the Ocean Mist. Great beach bum food. Tsunami Tuna sandwich or fish tacos are killer. Good beer selection but when in south county you are obliged to down a few Gansetts. The real attraction here is the crowd. Great mix of locals, beach bums, rummies, bikers and the stumble upon crowd. You can see anything parked out front from a Subaru with boards strapped to the roof, full dressed hogs and a baby stroller! The owner once said to us "this is the bar from star wars". read more

Not a good choice. This place is filthy and disgusting. The service is poor. The food is terrible and over priced. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was nasty. The bun was sopping wet and gross and there was literally a teaspoon of pulled pork. Bathroom was disgusting. I was afraid to touch anything. This place is disgusting and not for me....for that reason....I'm out... read more

Every year we come back to RI from TN we expect to see the Ocean Mist has fallen into the sea. It's still there. Ocean Mist is like an old sea hag that refuses to leave. And thank God for that. Grab yourself a tallboy 'Gansett and sit on the back deck while you watch the waves lap underneath the Mist. read more

One of our favorite local places! Really good food and drinks, friendly and efficient staff, and a fabulous ocean view. Kids can go too but it can get pretty loud. More of a grownup venue. read more

First time visitor, went for Sunday brunch, it is a very popular spot and a 45 minute wait, recommend you just wait and enjoy their bloody marys, they were awesome read more

What the heck is this place!! We had breakfast and were blown away. It sits on the water: no in the water!! It is a diamond in the rough for breakfast with friendly staff and big portions at a fair price. When you go there it looks like a dive bar because is but don't judge a book by its cover. We are middle age adults and would not have gone there but for a few rave reviews. We hesitated to even go in when got there but went in anyways. It just get better from there. We will go back many times in the future and will tell our old friends as well. read more

The food is not too bad, however, the service is terrible! The girls are rude, mean, and obnoxious! I do not want to hear about their personal problems, nor do I want to listen to them talk about other customers while I am trying to eat. It's bad enough I have to hold my breath to avoid the stentch of human waste coming from what they consider a bathroom! My advise, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! read more

This place is amazing! Fast service, amazing food and an awesome atmosphere. It's right on the ocean and although it looks like a typical bar inside it's so much more. read more

The Mist! I miss you. Spent many late nights here during my years at URI. Can't vouch for the food, but the atmosphere is typical beach bar, overlooking the water. Off the beaten path, but absolutely worth a visit. Great live shows!!! read more

This place is definitely legendary, stopped in on Labor Day and the place was packed of course. Staff was very friendly and attentive under the circumstances, the Cabo wabo calamari is something that was worth the 40 minute drive for me. Unbelievable view over the water, great beer, great music, what else do you need? read more

Love this place! Brunch is great the chipotle hollandaise is amazing. Fish and chips are great for lunch. Can't beat the view and laid back vibe xoxo read more

Location 5-Stars....food 3-4 stars, restaurant itself, 2-3 unfortunately...so I settled on 3 overall even though 2-star is "I've experienced better" and I really have. I did not find this place to be exciting in the least. We were staying at a Bed and Breakfast nearby and wanted to go to the Mews...since it was still nice out, the owner suggested we try Ocean Mist since we could sit outside and enjoy the weather...good idea. We arrived at Ocean Mist and the outside seating was taken, so we found a table by the window which was just as nice as the weather wasn't great due to a tropical storm off the coast. Took a while to get a waitress to us, but she eventually delivered menus and took our drink order...we ordered the crab cakes, which were very tasty, I had the fish tacos and my hubby a chicken sandwich. The food took forever to arrive which seemed odd because the place really wasn't busy. When she brought our food she asked my husband if he wanted another beer (he had about 3 sips left in the currently glass) and he said sure...however, she took his glass before he was done with it! Who does that? That put a big minus on her tip unfortunately. The food was fine, nothing over the top or different. We paid and left. The place wasn't impressive, but if you're a music lover or beach goer...this place is for you. read more

This has to one of my all time favorite places. You can't ask for a better beach bar. It's right on the water (literally, when the tide comes in the water is swirling under the deck) so you have the best view ever. It's the perfect place to sit outside and have a beer and look out onto the ocean or watch the sun go down. Plus they have awesome food and great music, with lots of local bands. The bartenders are always friendly, the atmosphere is super chill and it's probably hands-down the best bar in RI. Cannot possibly say enough good things about the Mist. read more

Wonderful place to stop for a drink after a day at the beach. The view from the deck is amazing and the drink prices are reasonable. Hello Narragansett beer tallboy for $3.00! I visited around five on a weekday and it was busy on the deck with both people dining and those just having a drink. There is a bar inside and a smaller one out on the deck as well, which I only discovered after I arrived. read more

Ocean Mist - Beautiful view from the deck! - Bars Near Me - Wakefield, Rhode Island

When you walk in you are taken back to the old days where a bar is a bar, but OMG the food is amazing!! I have been there 5 times this summer and always had a great meal!! Only problem is the parking! I prefer to go during the week when I'm on vacation because on the weekends it's very hard to park. I had to pass up last week going there because there was no place to park and a cop was giving out tickets,So I had to settle for the regular clam cakes and chowder at another restaurant. Try this place out, it will be a favorite!! Try to get seated outside, not many tables but it's over looking the ocean. read more

Beachy casual bar with ocean view. Definitely don't get all dressed up. Went on a cloudy Sunday and the wait was "over an hour" but we only waited 45. Can't imagine it on a nice day. We knew the wait would be long from common knowledge. The main strip it's near is a nice area, and the beach front is pretty but it's located right next to a trailer park which yields some seedy characters. We ordered the breakfast burrito which seemed like the most popular menu item, and the California Benny. Waited 30-40 for our food to come out and the waitress seemed surprised it took so long. When we finally got our food there was a couple smoking right next to us and the ash actually got onto our plate. I think we got forgotten because we were seated at the last table on the deck. The inside was cool with stickers on the walls and big windows the tables were up against for people that didn't want to wait for the outdoor seating to open up. The food was great though. Home fries were especially good. The breakfast burrito could have used more seasoning. Hollandaise sauce was great. Would go again but prepare yourself for a wait. read more

Great vibe. Good music and the food is surprisingly good. Love it here in the non summer months.

Fun Bar to go to. When I visited my brother invited me to go with his buddies and it was a blast. A bit chilly for me but it was in June so I guess I can't complain. Good summer memory made! read more

The spicy Bloody Mary was excellent. It was obvious they use fresh ingredients. Had the Crabby Eggs Benedict. Definitely enjoyed them. The potatoes that accompanied them, however, were sparse and relatively tasteless. Will come again though. Overall good experience. The servers were friendly and the view beautiful. read more

Ocean Mist is my happy place. Their Bloody Mary is the best you've ever had, and it complements a hefty list of Benedict's on the brunch menu. Huge bar, amazing views...my husband and I drive an hour for brunch at least twice a month in the summer. read more

This is my favorite local dive bar on the beach. I've grown up here and it's where I saw my first show of what would become my favorite band, a night that would change my early twenties forever! Go in summer for a late breakfast, sit on the deck, listen to the waves crash under you, feel the sun on your shoulders, smell the fresh ocean breeze and throw back some teliqula sunrises and you'll feel as though you are on vacation. The food is what you'd expect at a local dive bar, but it gets the job done when you are nursing a hangover and in need of more drinks. It's always a good place to check out some decent reggae bands. read more

Let me preface this review by noting that we came on a Thursday night. The place was pretty dead, so definitely go on a Friday or Saturday. However, the staff was very friendly and fun and the location can't be beat (you can walk down to the beach from the bar's deck). Good, strong drinks. Nothing too fancy, a bit of a dive. I would definitely try and go again on a weekend. read more

In RI, in doesn't get any better than the Ocean Mist. The absolute best food, music and just a great, fun atmosphere.

Best bloody Mary's ever!!! Very tasty and full of spices. If you order a special breakfast your drink will be $3. Very busy on weekend mornings but beautiful view and delicious breakfast. read more
