My first interaction with OIB Collision was a few years ago. I had requested a quote for some body work and paint for an 11 year old car. Tom inspected the car, gave me a ballpark number before providing a formal quote. He decided to check under the car and then told me he would be happy to quote and paint my car, but he wouldn't recommend it. The undercarriage was covered in rust and didn't think the car would be worth the investment. I was greatly appreciative of his honesty. I had gone to another business and did get a quote. The rust was never discussed. Sign one of a trustworthy business. I went to the shop the other day to see if they could fix a bumper that was no longer secure because of the rust. Tom said they are only doing collision work. I had tried to patch the piece but it didn't hold. He could have sent me on my way but said he would take a look. He took it a step further and within in 5 minutes was able to rig a temporary fix, giving me some time to find a replacement vehicle. I can't thank him enough. I can't provide a review for collision work done, but I can highly recommend his business based on my experiences with him. My son called me yesterday frantic because of a fender bender while parking at a rental house that had a random pole sitting by the driveway he didn't see and ran over. Based upon recent repair work in which one front fender and front bumper were replaced I can readily state that Ocean Isle Collision is an excellent auto body repair shop. One can readily see that Tom, the owner, and his personnel take great pride in their work, pay great attention to detail, and are very professional and courteous. They exactly fitted the replacement parts and matched the very difficult to match frosted white paint on our twelve year old auto. They even went above and beyond and painted the undamaged hood to cover years of road nicks such that the auto looked like new when the work was complete.
