These old reviews are wild. This place is wonderful. The service was very friendly and super quick! We ordered Spicy beef and broccoli, orange chicken, chicken chow mien (Chinese style pan fried noddle), sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. Everything was super tasty, very hot and bagged and ready in 15 min just like I was quoted on the phone. The lady who works the front said the owners have been working here for 39 years. I love this Chinese food and even more the family and staff that own it and run the restaurant, the doer of all things out front is Juanita and she is always kind and helpful, professional and efficient. They have all been wearing their masks . The food is really yummy and the portions are big. My daughter has turned my on to the egg foo young combination plate. The gravy makes it. I've always loved their soft noodles that come with your combo plate of chow mein. My daughter loves it " Chinese Style " where they mix it all together for you . I can never get enough of the pan fried noodles so I always get a side of them. If you haven't tried their fried chicken, you have to , it's delicious and comes with white rice. They have a great menu. I have fond memories of this place before it was a Chinese restaurant. They have thankfully kept serving our local favorite Superior ice cream , so there is dessert too! They are closed on Mondays and also some days they close during the slow times between 3-4:30. They do lunch and dinner and close at 9:00pm. Remember to tip your server. 5 stars read more

Ok, this place gets some pretty poor reviews, but I just had a perfectly good beef chow fun (extra spicy) While this certainly isn't the best Chinese restaurant, it for sure isn't the worst (I know, I've eaten at the worst) The lady running front of house was very nice, the beer was cold and the portion was generous. New in town and didn't know what I had a craving for after having gone to Mass. I ended up here by chance, simply parked there because it was shaded, was headed across the street for tacos. Anyhow, after the initial ooooh ok reaction to the decor I still sat down because there was a family eating and conversing. The waitress quickly attended me and after I asked for a dish with vegetables, it was served rather quickly. Ended up with Chinese style chicken chop suey. It was good! And don't get me started on their special/house chow mein just gross. The owners need to retire just close the place down. Came here for a little lunch. Ordered #3 fried rice, noodles, sweet and sour pork. The soup came and it wasnt very tasty so I passed on it. My food came quickly. The fried rice was good the noodles good, but the pork was a huge disappointment. I think they use the meat for the dishes that are not fried and the chunks of fat for the fried parts. My sweet and sour pork was chunks of inedible fat. I was very hoping it was just the first piece but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, just fat chunks. Sooooo we ordered Chinese tonight from ocean city and it is by far the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. My fried chicken wings were dry and over cooked with a weird breading on top of already fried chicken. The shrimp fried rice had no flavor and I tried to use the duck sauce they gave us to add some flavor but it was so watered down that it added little to no flavor what so ever. Don't be fooled by the photo it looked better than it tasted which still doesn't say much. I would not recommend this place to anyone seeking good or even decent Chinese food in the Lemoore area. read more

Blehh...really. They're food tastes just like it did a few years ago before I moved to Japan. After coming back, it tastes like good ol' Ocean City. They have good food. Atmosphere never changed. Service is good, the waitress is nice to talk to but she can be very talkative. Their food is served in great portions, so you'll never leave asking for more. You might be waiting a few minutes, but it's not bad. The son and daughter of the restaurant owners are always great to see. I remember when they were just little kids and they would sit on the high stools in the restaurant. Now, they occasionally assist with restaurant tasks. After carefully rethinking my review of this place, I edited my original post to something more realistic. I'm sorry if you read my old post. Clearly, I have gotten two places mixed up. However, this is the revised version. Ocean City is still a great place to eat. Jade Garden used to be the prime competitor, but with new management, Ocean City is now the best place to go for a quick fix of Chinese food in Lemoore. read more

The worst food you will ever eat! Not just the worst Chinese food, but the worst food you will ever put across your lips. The soup was a warm corn starch and water mix with five noodles. The sweet and sour chicken was dry chicken nuggets (at least, I hope it was chicken!) with a warm sauce that was neither sweet nor sour ... on the side. The pork fried rice was chopped ham mixed with greasy rice and that's it. None of the other things typically found in fried rice. The chow mien was a disgusting pile of noodles covered with almost cooked bean sprouts then covered with greasy cold ham slices. They should rename this place The North Korean Prison Restaurant. Hunger is a better alternative Other reviewers may rightfully claim it's the best Chinese restaurant in Lemoore, but it's probably the only Chinese restaurant in Lemoore. read more

ALL of the bad reviews are right on the money! Please see photos for decor. This place is an old diner with Chinese nic-nacks. Food: Wow! The most vile disgusting food ever. The chow mien was partially hard and soft noddles with a pile of over cooked AND under cooked bean sprouts. It had no flavor because it wasn't FOOD! The rice was served cold and taste like it was sitting out a long time. They had this foiled chicken that was cubed chicken thighs cooked in soy sauce in foil. Why? What so special about serving me foil with chicken inside? Like another reviewer my fiancé and i had plenty left over which ended up in the trash. The Upshot - The worst Chinese food I have had in a long time. Can not recommend. Food - 1/5 Service - 2/5 Decor - 1.5/5 FOOD - The very best that could be said about this food is that it was edible (with some room for debate on that point). My wife and I had plenty of food left over, but even the next day we could not bring ourselves to bother to reheat it. The boxes went straight to the garbage. Fried Wontons - More precisely, fried wonton dough, in big, greasy, bland squares. Sweet and Sour Chicken Dinner - About two-thirds greasy chow mien, and then one part bland BBQ pork fried rice and one part doughy, slightly under-fried chicken with a bland sauce. Singapore Rice Noodle - Way too under-sauced. In addition to be under-seasoned, what seasoning there was coated on the noodles like a dry dusting. Essentially a bland and VERY dry dish. SERVICE - The waitress was nice enough, but she was the only one working the floor. As a result, it took a long time to get her attention, and even when we did get a word in edge-wise, it took repeated requests to even get our water refilled. DECOR - An odd amalgamation of 70's breakfast diner/greasy spoon and chinese restaurant, failing at each. Vinyl-covered booths and a Waffle House-like bar combined with Chinese lanterns and old paper streamers advertising beer (Corona, I believe) resulted in an odd ambience that just made one feel uncomfortable while eating there. It did, however, appear to be relatively clean. So, no real facet of the meal would have met even the lowest expectations of a small-town Chinese restaurant. HORRIBLE. ordered chicken chow mein and the noodles literally tasted like burnt waffles ???? the orange chicken was horrible, the fried rice was extremely dry as if it was really old. the lady that took our order was so unhelpful. she seemed to bothered to help anyone and do her job, seemed aggravated when we asked for soy sauce. our bag had no forks inside, multiple people had problems with waiting for their food. they called and ordered over the phone and were told it was take 10 min and it would be ready , they waited an additional 20 minutes inside the restaurant, the crew in the back cooking the food were dancing. probably why it took so long to get everyone's food. i've never been so disappointed in a place before. read more

Let me start off by saying this is far from upscale or gourmet Chinese food. It's a little dirty inside and not the best looking decor. This local place serves quick and cheap Chinese food, and it's pretty dang good. My fiancé and I each got a combination plate - mine was foil-wrapped chicken with pork chow mien and pork fried rice, and hers was sweet and sour pork with the same. My chicken was super juicy and tender, and my chow mien, which I got Chinese style (sautéed with bean sprouts), was amazing. The rice was another story. It almost tasted like regular brown rice, not close to fried rice. We also got a side of orange chicken. It was good, but a little too sweet of a sauce for me. Some of the pieces were too soggy and some weren't sauced enough. Not bad though. The service was great. Sometimes they get into a conversation with locals, but they are friendly. Back with drinks and boxes very quick. If you're looking for cheap, quick good Chinese food this is the place. They also serve local craft beer from Bird Street Brewing.
