On April 19, 2025, I brought my vehicle to Myrtle Beach Chevrolet due to a check engine light. I…read morewas told I needed a 100,000-mile service, which included spark plug replacement and a fuel injection service. I agreed and was charged nearly $900. After the service, the check engine light went off for a short time but soon began coming back intermittently, and eventually stayed on consistently. This clearly showed the underlying problem had not been fixed. When I attempted to return for service, my confirmed appointments were repeatedly canceled by the dealership -- on May 26, June 3, and again on August 29. During the last cancellation, staff even suggested I "go to O'Reilly" for diagnostics instead. Following their advice, I went to O'Reilly, where diagnostics revealed the very issues I had supposedly already paid Myrtle Beach Chevrolet to repair. A trusted independent mechanic later confirmed that the spark plugs had not been replaced and the fuel injection service had not been performed. This is not a simple oversight -- this is fraudulent billing and a serious consumer protection violation. Charging customers for services that were never done, while canceling multiple appointments and leaving a vehicle unsafe to drive, is unacceptable.
