Overall this trip was amazing! The DJ played excellent music and the sights were magnificent, we even got to see a whale! Our party was pretty small so, maybe other experiences are slightly different than ours. Everything was going smoothly until the last 30 minutes. The captain, Jerry, decided to let the boat spin in circles for at least 30 minutes while he went on his phone. Spinning in the sea is not pleasant and we would've preferred to have stayed stagnant. They were prompt and time for a 7AM start which meant they woke at dawn to help their customers, they were so keen and excited on spotting the whales with us, they were super informative. Such a great experience!! One of the highlights of mine and my boyfriends trip to Oahu. Booked this for a Friday night sunset cruise for about $110 each person. Decided specifically for Friday because the night ends with a fireworks show!! Fortunately we were able to book last minute 2 nights in advance online. So glad I found this little gem on Google search for a sunset boat ride - just the vibe I was going for. 2 hour catamaran ride around the harbor of Waikiki, sippin on our $6-12 dranks, enjoying the views of the skyline and sunset, along with good music from the DJ into the evening skies, and ending the evening ride to a firework show was perfect for our last night in Oahu. The owner Richard was so personable and so outgoing. Made us feel very welcomed, as if he threw a party and we were invited guests haha. The crew was great, everyone had such welcoming attitudes and took drink orders throughout the boat so you didn't have to be the one to go up and down the deck. Boat was very clean. Had everyone take their shoes off and had personal baskets for your belongings and place under the bench/seats. I've done sunset cruises before but this by far was my favorite out of the 4 I've had the pleasure to embark on. Tiana, Rachel, Koa, Matt, and Captain Mark are the best crew! What a fabulous tour - "Dolphins and You!" They picked us up 3 mins from our hotel, used the 1-hour travel time wisely to explain the tour, answer questions & make us laugh. Bernard our bus driver, Ray our bus tour guid/photographer (took photos throughout the tour) and Anoi the Japanese translator were all around super friendly and welcoming. The boat crew - Capt. Dani, Xy, Cyre, Hermy & Alex continued the fun. The safety review was comprehensive from ship safety to water safety. We saw spotted dolphins, fishes of many colors and a singular turtle that stayed far away from us, at the bottom of the sea floor. FYI: it is illegal to touch a turtle and has a $10k fine. The humpback whales were far off and teased us with a few spouts but they didn't surface. I highly recommend this tour. Did I mention that the crew even danced hula for us? This was the biggest let down/disappointment of my vacation and I truly regret signing up for this. The email stated that beginning on 12/31 they would be serving drinks on the boat. When we arrived it turns out they did not have a liquor license and were like " you brought your own alcohol right?" .. no? Cause the email stated we would be able to purchase it on the boat. The staff told us there was a liquor store down the street so we could go get it, we had already walked 15 mins from the drop off area to the harbor so I didnt want to rush and walk even more because I had gotten dressed and done my makeup for that. It was obvious most people were unaware as some people did leave and go get drinks from said store. They dont allow shoes, so I had to hold my pee to avoid being barefoot in a public bathroom. The whole thing was very much drunk basic vibe boat and the music was like radio top hits. There was no soda or snacks available on the boat. If they had given me a lunchables and a soda it would have at least added another star. There was barely anyone on the boat and it was obvious there was some of the owners friends on there trying to hype it up, but it felt so forced. This is how i spent my 3 yr anniversary. We had a great time on this cruise! There was a live dj, plenty of lights, upper deck area and an awesome crew. To start we were picked up Kela, this guy is top notch. I'm from San Diego and it's nothing but good vibes and he made us feel right at home. We had a few stops to go but he told us about the area, cracked jokes and made everyone feel comfortable. Once we made it to the harbor Aiden, Devin and Shelbi helped us get checked in and on the boat. They helped show us around and got our drinks going! Captain Matt gave us the safety run down before heading out. The ride was smooth, the water was amazing, we were able to see fish swimming alongside the boat and Kela was able to tell us what kind of fish they were. The crew kept us a safe and let us party, I definitely had plenty of drinks, my girlfriend and I were able to dance and see views we would never have see. We went on the Whales and You tour which started at 7am when the waters and traffic were calmer. Got to see some spouts from afar and a whale breaching. They also dropped a hydrophone into the water so we got several min of whale song. We also saw two pods of spinner dolphin but they're usually pretty chill during the morning so we didn't get any spinner action. Captain Matt, Rachel, Devin, and Natalie were great! They were informative and conscientious to help people take photos and let us know what to look for. The doughnuts were good. Our group went on a sunset cruise of Waikiki Beach. There were about 40 people on the cruise and the boat was a perfect size, in great shape and very stable and comfortable. The boat had a DJ playing fun club type music and had multi-colored lights throughout the boat. The boat had a main floor where you could get out of the sun as you started and the ceiling was blacked out with ghost twilight lighting. The boat seemed modern with a deck you could go up on where Captain Sarah drove the boat. There was plenty of room for the passengers to find a spot or move around the boat whether you preferred the bow, center, roof or back of the boat. The cruise offered one free drink and others available to buy for $5 each. They offered Trulys, White Claws, local beers, vodka drinks and Crown Royal Apple. The best part was the staff. They were all fun, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Natalie was very friendly helping with the bar and Captain Sarah was so much fun and gave the cruise her positive vibes. We saw whales breaching at sunset and then saw the beautiful Honolulu skyline at night too. We would highly recommend this 2 hour cruise if you are in the mood for a fun experience. The pier was about a 15 minute cab ride from Waikiki Beach and cost about $12. We thought this cruise was worth every penny and enjoyed it a bunch. We went February 18, 2022.
