Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. When we arrived, the cashier asked if we needed anything. We politely said we needed a few minutes to decide. Instead of giving us space, she stood nearby and quickly asked again in a curt tone what we wanted. We reiterated we needed a little more time. After a few minutes, our son decided on a mud cup. We told the cashier our order, but she didn't acknowledge us--instead, she walked away and began what looked like routine cleaning tasks. We waited patiently for several more minutes, only to see her take what appeared to be a personal phone call on her cell phone. At that point, we gave up and left. With that level of unprofessionalism and disregard for basic customer service, we felt we were better off not eating there. Thankfully, we found another ice cream shop just half a mile down--Sugar Twist--where the staff was friendly, the service prompt, and the ice cream was delicious and half the price. We won't be returning to Hershey Ice Cream Shop, and unfortunately can't recommend it based on this visit.
