From the moment that I met Yana, I knew that we were in good hands. Not only is she beautiful, but she went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was everything that we imagined and more. Throughout the entire process she understood our budget but still brought our vision to life and was also extremely patient with all members of my family involved, listening to every opinion, yet making it work with what I (the bride) truly wanted. Her consultations left us more and more at ease until the big day when everyone was blown away with every detail. I would highly recommend Yana and Northland Special Events. They are not one of those wedding planners that is going to show up the day of, coordinate everything you already put together, and over-charge you. They are going to take care of everything that you want, make it perfect, and not stop until the job is well done. I cannot recommend them enough.

I filled out all of our artist forms on the website in detail. The artists were not able to view them, so it was very frustrating that I filled out all of those form details on the Bellagala site only to have to kind of go over them all again. It created more work for me and the artists. Bellagala worked with me to fix it but just said that everything was coming up fine on their end even though the problem persisted. They never offered a concrete solution to the problem and it was very frustrating and disappointing.

I called him at that point, and he said yes I have it on my desk. They were stuck in my spam. Once we connected via phone, he stated he would circle back with the details. He circle back and said we would not be able to accommodate your wedding event. This puts us in a bind, we've lost a couple of weeks, but that falls on deaf ears with Lefties. Beware!

The team she hired to set up the venue was clearly inexperienced and even made comments to my family members saying, "I'm not sure what to do I've never done this before." Time was severely mismanaged and the coordinator/owner was visibly overwhelmed. Marilee does not care whether or not you are happy with her services. After the wedding, I tried contacting Marilee privately to express my dissatisfaction and try and find a compromise on the amount she billed us for (which she was unwilling to give any details or itemization of her invoice) and she ended up ignoring my emails. She took no accountability, was disrespectful and made rude comments about my wedding, and showed no willingness to compromise...she never apologized and immediately was defensive and threatened legal action. After trying to contact her 3 times and being ignored, she filed with small claims. The judgement ended up being dismissed. After having such a horrible experience and doing more research, I found out the business was dissolved in 2014 and is no longer legally operating under its LLC.
