Sweat shop factory for eyecare........don't go here for any tyoe of catarct or other eycare surgery just because you're optometrist refered you........i'm sure there's an incentive for them to do so ( $$$$$$$$) ! You can't get aporopriate professional independent eye care when the facility functions like an automotive assemply line ! read more

Please stay away. They butchered my left eye cataract causing years of issues. They lasered the eye excessively before I was able to get second opinions. Eventually had another clinic do a vitrectomy!!! Please stay away. Armogen is just trying to move to as many patients as possible, no time for questions. Just brutal!! read more

After nearly 5 years of treatment....Reception staff are great as are most in the processes. Some of the staff doing injections are unprofessional, joking and flirting while the nurse is injecting dye in the arm. The doctor has no bedside manner, tells you nothing, it is a production line. I am still in the dark how my eye is progressing.. I have paid thousands of dollars in extra fees for imaging not covered by OHIP, it is a money mill. I was told he was the best in his field, maybe technically and competently, but he is totally uncaring and uncommunicative. You have to ask the nurse how you are doing, not good enough. I am going elsewhere. read more

If I could give 0 star I would have done that. Avoid this place at all costs. No ethics , no patient care . It is only a money making machine . From the start everything is so fast paced, you are not given a chance to think . Dr Ali is so much in hurry , he does not want to talk or communicate he just wants patients to get the treatment done .He did not give any definitive diagnosis or educate us on what is happening to my eyes , just suggested to get laser treatment done . When I asked for sometime to process it he got offended , and said " you are adult and you are risking your vision , if you go blind during the weekend it is on you ". I mean before 5 mins it was just a minor preventive treatment and now I can get blind anytime. How can a doctor threaten patients on such delicate things just because they ask for more information and want to understand what the diagnosis is and what is the treatment plan. This Eyecare center needs to provide ethics training to their employees. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! This is a money grab facility with the most unprofessional staff and doctors especisally Dr. Narendra Armogan, first you will pay for parking on a private property then you will go in and conduct your own adminstration work, then you will be given attutide by the front desk because you will not pay for a test that is not covered by OHIP and basically its just for their pocket as the doctor should be able to give you information on this without this test, this is their obligation hense why you are there, then you will go see a person who's job is only to put eyedrops in your eyes but doesnt know how human relflexes work & will be as aggressive as you can be on a human, then they will also throw phamplets about abuse when they are the abusive ones, gang up on you making you feel so embarassed and low, worst expereince ever! Dr. Armogan has an obligation in the medical field to properly evaluate you and he wont because based on the judgement they make on you they will just waste 4 hours of your time and money for nothing, please if any optimistrist refers you to this clinic request for another clinic this is the worst place you can go to, they are very unprofessional, the doctor is more occupied with his appearance then aiding patients and the staff is all about drama! if you are into the ghetto treatment then this is your place! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Patients are treated like sheep. Narendra Armogan and Fareed Ali are extremely rude and ignorant. Their intent is not to treat you but to keep you coming back to clinic again and again so they can bill more. ALL THE BAD REVIEWS ARE RIGHT. I HAVE EXPERINCED THIS FIRST HAND. I was in OCC Eyecare last week for my pre cataract surgery counselling. Deja was my counsellor that day. She explained to me in great detail with patience, compassion and friendliness. guiding me through all the necessary tests. As we all know, most OCC Eyecare patients are elderly with poor eyesights, hard of hearing..... Deja's efforts were able to allay my anxiety. Deja is a valuable team member to your organization and your patients. I write to make sure that she gets her due recognition. Best Regards, Agatha She. read more

Hi Folks, I was at OCC Eye Care today 21st Dec 2020, at 2.30pm, along with my wife who was rescheduled second time for laser eye procedure. I was assured the clinic is following strict compliance measures, and I thought to myself, why not!! After all, COVID is transmitted through mouth, nose and eyes... A loud speaker was placed in the parking lot with loud announcements how all patients must adhere to social distancing and related compliance announcements. Right before entering the main glass door, there is a small tent where patients are supposed to complete a questionaire asking about health issues etc... Red lines were drawn every 6 feet. Everything looked perfect as it should be. However, surprisingly no one was outside in the tent which looked a bit odd, yet pleasing to the eye thinking there would be less patients inside... However, to our utter shock, as we entered the front glass door, we were surprised to see at least 20+ patients crammed up within approximate 8' x 15' reception area. It would be safe to say that patients were within 1-2 feet of each other. My jaw dropped in total shock and anger! The lady wearing a shield mask, apparently totally oblivious to the situation welcomed us and asked if we had filled the questionaire. Apparently, she was just doing her job. It was the scene at a fish market. We couldn't stay at such a poorly managed place for one bit. She shared our feelings of dismay, but had a perfectly tailored message for us. "I am just doing what I am told to do". My wife and I left the clinic. On my way out, I called Peel Public Health non compliance reporting hot line to report the clinic and wanted to share a few pics of what we saw with the compliance inspector. A lady, apparently also just doing her job introduced herself as a compliance inspector. We reported the entire incident to her and she listened patiently... At the end of it, she said, " we don't interfere with doctors clinics or where there is a medical practice. I was very shocked by her response. I was asked to call the College of Physicians and surgeons who will look into the matter. All of a sudden, it felt that this whole thing was my responsibility to find the right people and make complaints . Unfortunately, the only option I had was to write this review, hoping that someone with authority or having the right contacts, would be able to escalate the matter.. read more

I was referred here by Costco, who said someone would call me to make my appointment. Their MACHINE called me with details about my appointment. The message was stupidly long and did not give me enough time to write down all of the 'conditions' of the appointment. When you call them back their machine is again stupidly long, and gives you no opportunity to talk to an actual person. They only take actual calls between 9-11 AM, and good luck with that. They refer you to their website. The website requires a lot of information just to send them a message, and then says it could take a week to answer. When I went to the appointment the first thing I noticed was paid parking in their mostly empty parking lot. When you go inside they have multiple computers to 'check yourself' in. Even though there are 5 employees mulling around, you spend 10 minutes putting all of your info and medication list into their computer for them. Then they approached me and said the doctor recommended a test which is not covered by OHIP and would cost a couple of hundred dollars. I told them that I had not even seen the doctor yet so how could he recommend that? Then they took me for an eye test, after which they said I was done. No doctor. They said he would see me next time. I don't know if their work is good or bad, but their lack of any type of customer service made me decide to go elsewhere. I'd rather have one good receptionist with phone skills, and a good doctor who actually shows up for my appointment. read more

Was not a good experience. The support staff, technicians and doctors came off very unpleasant. I think they were trying to go for professional and efficient, but it came off rude. The support staff and technicians seemed to have a difficult time answering questions or clarifications - like they much rather not. Overall, poor customer service. Would not recommend from my experience. The wait time to meet the doctor took a little over an hour. Also, just a heads up: parking is $4. read more

I had cataract surgery here. Found they could not accommodate me. I am very short--the cataract specialist was angry I had to be passed on to a colleague, so I had to go back to the beginning. Now, 18 months later I am still having appointments and suggest more procedures. The staff are not so good--angry at me for correcting when the next appointment was to be and another time the girl would only talk to my son which was totally not necessary, I was there and able to talk for myself. Wow absolute chaos. Horrible service. The disorganization of that place is unprecedented. it's like a cattle call in there. No parking on the street which is basically empty. Charges $5 for parking in a tiny lot. Watched several elderly people do 7 point turns trying to get out of the parking lot. No information Whatsoever. No call backs. No email replies. Told me twice to do a test that cost me more than $200 with no explanation even when asked. Stock scripted answers from the cattle callers. Told me I needed drops after i specifically asked if I needed them for one of my appointments the first visit. The second said I didn't need them, but upon arrival told me I did. Third time said I didn't need drops after once again I asked them specifically prior to the appointment. Honestly it's exhausting trying to write all this down. Absolutely the worst optical experience of my life. I intend on reporting them to the appropriate authorities as well as the optometrist from Costco who referred me there. THESE ARE MY EYES FFS! But on the swing side I'm sure all those drs are movin on up with the $$$$ they're raking in. Ugh. The other reviewers here have similar experiences as I did. Lots of them. I had to hold my tongue many times over a number of visits on my parents request, but even they felt the actual doctor Armogan and there was also a tall female doctor who repeatedly talked to the patients with such an elitist rude manner. They don't even make eye contact with the patients and talk abruptly as if we are inconveniencing their time, I highly reccomend NOT to come here based on their service . . . its basically a human mill / assembly line, you can see they are focused on the billable numbers and not a care for service quality, and my neighbour felt the same and left. Its will be clear after your first visit, mississauga has many options for you. read more

I had questions about my upcoming appointment and I emailed with my questions. I got a standard reply which did not answer my questions. I set up an email account with them and the same thing happened. I called and left a message with the answering service and got no reply. This was all done several weeks prior to the appointment. While the patient care is great their communication skills are terrible. Years ago I often had to take my mother there and again the care was good but the wheelchair ramp and entrance were very difficult to navigate and we had to find another provider that had an easier entrance for people with mobility issues. I will never go there again. read more

Avoid this place if you can. I received a copy of the report of Dr. Fareed Ali from my optometrist. The report is a complete fabrication of what actually transpired at the visit and doesn't even quote the correct eye I was there about. The report says that he discussed my diagnosis of PVD in detail, which he did not, references my right rather than left eye that has the problem and said that I attended with a family member, which I did not. I was alone. There was absolutely no discussion at all about the diagnosis, eg. risks, possible treatment or future management. The only good thing about this assembly line factory-like experience was getting an appt within 3 weeks. I only trust that I have no retinal tear in my eye because that was the only thing he actually said to me when I saw him other than when did it happen, was it my right eye and he handed me a pamphlet. There is absolutely no humanity about this place. Patients are treated as numbers or cattle. If you really do have a serious problem you would not feel comfortable that you understood what was going on with your diagnosis, prognosis or treatment or even that if you need an operation that they would even operate on the correct eye! read more

I'm not a patient BUT my mother goes here. Pros: no compaints about the doctors and wait time. The doctors my mom had were all professional and built a good rapport with her. Cons: unprofessional support staff who are inconsiderate, constantly interrupt you, do not have proper phone etiquette (hope they use their recordings to better improve training), speak in condescending tones, their call wait times range from 10-20 minutes (waste of her break times). Never in my life have I heard someone speak so rudely to a client. e.g. my mom tried to reschedule her appt over the phone and the receptionist, the one with a brown accent (not being disrespect or racist) was not at all understanding that clients have jobs to work around too and are not flexible in leaving too early. The first appointment was at the ideal time, not the ideal date (mother had a dermatologist appt booked a year in advance already). Receptionist wouldn't work with mother to find a time convenient for both parties. Kept saying doctor isn't working after 2 when first appt was scheduled for after 2. Oh, and top of all that parking isn't free, clients are charged if they give 48-hour notice, etc. Kindly take the money that you gouge from seniors' pockets to retrain or hire new staff. Thanks! read more

I had cataract surgery on both eyes at this clinic in 2015. The doctors there are amazing and I found the staff to be pleasant and professional. I had laser cataract surgery with lens implants and the after care has been very good as well. From: John Moore, Oakville Canada I was referred here by my optometrist, for possible glaucoma and I've done 3 visits since May 2019 to date (Sept. 9, 2019). The first visit was a bit of a shock as you require id tags and and then dropped into a huge waiting room full of people . . . shades of Orwell. .... But, the multiple front & prep staff/touch points, in retrospect, I found to be efficient yet friendly and yielded relatively quick processing. Disappointingly my experience with the two Drs. that I've met so far suggests that they studied "bedside manner" under combo lecturers - the Director of CIA and Joseph Stalin - i.e. complete the patient exam & get em out the door within 5 min.; anticipate none of the patient's concerns or likely questions; tell them next to nothing (need-to-know-basis) other than next scheduled appointment; and if asked questions, they respond as if it's a painful process, one they don't have the time or patience for. The 3 hr. wait (last appointment only) was just icing on the cake. John Moore , Oakville Canada read more

There is limited parking at the clinic itself, however there is another parking directly across the street. As others stated parking is $4 (in Sept 2018), still cheaper than downtown Toronto. There are two front door entrances, pick the one on the left. Inside there were 4 receptionists ready to process you in. If it's your first time there you will need to fill out an information sheet (usual name, birth date, name of family doctor/address, name of optometrist/address, yes/no health questionnaire, aka the usual stuff). You then sit in the main floor waiting room. If all is well with the above info, you'll be given a patient (or visitor, if that is the case) sticker to place on your shirt and walk downstairs to the main waiting room, which feel pretty much like an airport lounge, so bring something to read. You will be called up for a quick eye exam/pressure test and then returned to your seat. Eventually you will be called up for your main appointment. There is about 6 staff who direct people into each of the doctor offices which line up along the perimeter of the waiting room. They also place and remove patient's files in each room, freeing up the doctors administration time as much as possible. It amazing how organized the place is, with its fast track nature, which to some can be overwhelming. Many seniors are there with their children to guide them around. The information booklet they give you, says to allow 1-3 hours for each appointment. In my case it was on time, other waiting time where 1 hour or so. Considering the limited funding of our Medicare system, this places does a great job is seeing many patients each day. My initial appointment took 2 months to book. If they slowed down, it would have probably taken a year. read more

Had to bring my 4yo son here in 2017. We waited 3 hours to see the Dr. They MADE me put away my sons water & goldfish crackers because they don't allow food or drinks. Dr wanted us back in a year to follow up. So now in 2018 we return and have another horrible experience. The reception argued with me when I inquired why our appt was with a different Dr. Then we waited 3 hours. Was put in exam room 4 different times, then made to go back into the waiting area, lots of fun with a 5yo and 6 month old baby. When we finally saw this new Dr he very simply told us there was nothing he could do that day because he didn't see my child last time and to come back in 2 months to see the original Dr. We live out of town, my husband took a day off and it was a complete waste of time. The final straw in all of this was trying to change my babies diaper...oh wait, they don't supply any bathroom with a change table????? Medical facility???? Are you kidding me!!!?? How about they cut down on the infection control paranoia and focus on actual patient needs. They are literally 30 people working there and they are "trying" to be organized but in my opinion failing miserably. I work in the dental field and am usually very patient because I totally "get" it but this experience ( x2 ) is completely unprofessional. And what's the deal with the useless stickers??!! So annoying. Needless to say we will NOT be returning. read more

When reception needs to label the people with stickers that say, "visitor" or "patient", you know that you have become nameless in an assembly line. The staff is extremely rude, even though their clients are mostly seniors-the place is not easily accessible to people with walking difficulties. Each simple 3 minute visit with the doctor takes 2 hrs or more. I finally got my mother to see another specialist and now she only goes once a year because her macular degeneration is mild. At this place Dr Ali had her going every 3 months because the government pays for it-I guess wasting elderly people's time is not a concern to them as long as they make more money. Grossly unprofessional outfit. Staff were unhelpful from the first call to until my appointment departure. I specifically asked twice if I needed to be early to complete paperwork, told no ... arrived and needed to do paperwork. Given an appointment time and told be here "sharp" ... waited 45 minutes. Finally crushed into a tiny little room with the door at my back, four different people popped in and out, no one introduced themselves or what they were doing, door opened and closed randomly during a blackout test so I'm confident the test will be skewed. Took my mom for eye checkup at their Mississauga clinic on a referral. She had waited 4 months for this and rescheduled her flight tickets to meet this appointment- she was turned back because I had my daughter with me and my daughter had a minor cold. They claimed my mom was exposed to my daughter and has to wait 3 weeks (even when WHO says 14 days for coronavirus) We were already sitted and I guess I shot myself in the foot by asking for a mask for my daughter just incase she started to cough or sneeze and boom the lady in the front mentally diagnosed my daughter as having coronavirus. Insensitive is the least I could use for the way they behaved. I took a day off from work to meet this appointment. I even offered to take my daughter to the car with me just so they could see my mom they wouldn't budge! The manager was no different- they knew it all. Meanwhile there were patients coughing in the waiting area and they didnt ask them to leave. How do you even know what your patients have been exposed to before they came for their visits? They tossed me between at least 4 people just to dismiss my complaints. Eventually I had no choice but to accept a reschedule.... I was treated very unfairly here but like I said I didn't have a choice. No wonder their reviews are horrible. I haven't had any doctor encounter so I can't speak to that but the front desk staff and manager are very unreasonable people read more

The worst place I've ever had the mis-fortune of being stuck in. Had to visit twice as a visitor to be a driver for my sister, they always tell you to bring a companion. The first time, we sat in the initial waiting room for an hour and a half. After getting fed up, I went to ask about how much longer, it seems that the chart was misplaced. They sent us to the other side of the waiting room for an initial exam. When I sat down, the row of chairs was placed by a curtain and I guess there is a lot of computer wiring along that same curtain, so when I sat, it turned off a power bar. After a lot of commotion, one of the employees came around and asked me to move and she fixed the problem and put my chair back in the same spot. For the next 10 min. She regaled anyone who would listen about how they lost all power because the 'customer' unplugged them screwing up all their files and jamming the printer. I got to hear this same crap at the top of her voice over and over to the point where I wanted to ask her what incompetence it takes to not tape down electrical wiring to prevent it from happenening again. After that, we were sent to another waiting room where we waited for another half hour before she had a final test. All in all, it was almost 2 hrs for 2 five minute tests. The next time was a week later for a follow up with an actual doctor. This time I was ready for the wait and asked when we got there how long it would be, the receptionist shrugged her shoulders. I asked what was the point in making an apt for a certain time if you're not seen? She said it's standard to wait over 2 hours. For which she was right, another hour and forty five minutes for the doctor, Dr. Yan. Asked my sister what was going on, didn't look at her when she was speaking and cut her off half way through to tell her that nothing was wrong. To add insault to the injury, she paid out of pocket for a $105 test that wasn't necessary and we paid for parking twice. This place is a scam and NEVER let your GP refer you here! I had made a passing comment to my sister about how pissed I was, to which EVERY patient around me voiced the same feeling. That should really tell you something about this place. read more

I saw Dr. Ali today. He did not make eye contact with me when he entered his office but he did manage a hasty hello as he turned his back to me and sat down to check my chart, I presume. I needed my retinas check which took him all of 30 seconds. Really! I guess I can't complain that he never made eye contact with me for after all he did peer into both of my eyeballs. To be fair the vitamins that he recommended have helped in restoring my retinas' health and i am very pleased with that and that's what's important. I understand that Dr.Ali is busy but please take that one second to make eye contact. It's not that I wanted to waste his time talking about Donald Trump (what a waste of time that would be) but as a senior we're invisible anyways and not making eye contact doesn't help. I have another complaint about the washroom facilities. There used to be three washrooms in the waiting area and for some reason due to recent renovations there are now only two. As a consequence you now have to wait in a lineup which is a bit embarrassing and there are a lot of seniors there, including myself, who aren't all that ambulatory. Why would you eliminate the third washroom? When I arrived, I skipped the lineup for it was unmercifully long. After making long trips people need to use these facilities quick. I mean was the old washroom made into another office to hire even more staff? Signed Incontinent Puddle Jumper read more

I wish I could give them -5... My advice to you all is, do not even get near that Clinic... My Aunt had a simple Cataract surgery in May of 2020 with a so-called "Doctor" Armogan and he ruined it...He did not place the lens properly, therefore, my mother not only can not see but suffering from pain and inflammation... This so-called Doctor even did not any post-operation checkup...He just vanished... Instead, He left it to another female "Doctor" name Gill... She performed the post-operation checkup on behalf of "Doctor" Armogan and she tried to cover up his operation failure and my Aunt's lack of vision, pain, and inflammation to her diabetic condition, even though her blood sugar before and after the operation was optimal... My Aunt had two appointment with "Doctor" Gill and both times she said nothing about Doctor Armogan's failure and to ruin such a simple cataract surgery and tried to cover up for him... As my cousin and I were so frustrated by the lame excuses of "Doctor" Gill we decided to make an appointment with My Aunt's Optometrist, who was also an eye surgeon back in her country before moving to Canada... And she was the one who told us the truth about what has happened...Yesterday August 7th/ 2020 my Aunt's Eye was becoming badly swollen and painful therefor her son and I took her back to OCC Clinic and they sent us to see another Doctor as they told us but we are not even sure because he never introduced himself to my cousin and he said, he was very rude and not only he wouldn't say anything about the lens not being placed properly he would just write a prescription of drops and leave it at that... but my cousin confronted him and told him that we know Doctor Armogan has failed to place the lens correctly and we want to see him or someone who can tell us what He or another hopefully surgeon can do to correct his failure... so at that time the Undercover (Unknown) Doctor made an appointment for my Aunt to see "Doctor" Armogan on August 21/2020... We are actually in talks with a good lawyer regarding this and if this Clinic and their Doctors fail to correct their mistake and damage my Aunt's Eye we will go ahead and take legal action against them. read more

My first Visit at OCC was March 11, 2016 and my ugly experience continued for about four months. The atmosphere is decidedly cold, not at all welcoming and this is only one of the many clues that OCC is nothing but a money factory. Human beings are but a necessary means to that end. OHIP should be cognizant of the rampant and unnecessary costs incurred by this group? Your first experience is meeting the very young ladies working at the reception desk. They have no discernible customer service skills or training. They barely look up at you and only say the bare minimum to move you along; "OHIP card?", "Date of birth" and, "Go sit over there and we will call you." Someone will then call your name and you are told to go downstairs where you will wait with about 80 people anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours. I asked one young lady bout this long wait and her response was a snarky, "What do you expect when they triple book!" You will encounter about 15 black clad staff; perhaps only one will make eye contact or even smile. This surely is a barometer of how happy this workplace environment is. You get pointed to this huge waiting room full of people surrounded by sliding doors that when they open and close sound like the rollers of an assembly line belt. The doctors appear from behind and barely look at you and deal with you as speedily as possible. If you don't speak, it's fine with them. This clinic requires repeated testing every visit with hardly an explanation. I have had about 25 eye tests repeatedly demanded every time I see a new person. Some of these tests were performed by the various technicians and then again repeated by the four doctors I saw. Dr. Gill, What an awful woman! This person has so much to prove. Rather than understand the angst of a person who was fast losing his sight, she entered the room seemingly to show who the boss was. Dr. Gill was condescending when questioned, speaks the medical lingo quickly but not in lay terms so that one can comprehend. The visit was more of an inquisition than a consultation. She has a god complex and does not tolerate debate; she felt she was entitled to belittle the prognoses and directions of the other doctors I had previously seen. Throughout our consultation she was overly defensive and combative. It was a very uncomfortable situation so I questioned her approach. She proudly proclaimed she is an instructor at U of T. I have no idea how one can teach when one does not tolerate questions. Finally I told her, "I just don't like you and I've had enough." She said that she would remember me for the rest of her life. If she does it would only be to her benefit. In the end I have no idea what the purpose of my visit with Dr. Gill was and when I asked Joe Caccamo, (Manager) he said, "I have no idea either. " Dr. Yan This guy does not deserve the title of doctor and he must have gone to the same school of demagoguery as the aforementioned Dr. Gill. While I'm getting more and more scared of going blind this guy seems to only want to do battle. Yan is far beyond rude and bordering on the anti social. His approach to someone who is scared of losing his eye sight was authoritative and egotistical when questioned about his opinion. Four Doctors (two within OCC; Dr. Ali and Dr. O'Brien) had already diagnosed me with having "serious" to "severe" cataracts but Yan said that my glaucoma is minimal and that I had retinopathy. He then referred me back Dr. Ali providing inadequate answers to my concerns regarding this latest prognosis. To some of my questions he replied, "I will not answer that.". "Do you get it yes or no?" I did not get it all and the more he talked at me the more on edge I became. Furthermore, his diagnosis of retinopathy was grossly incorrect as confirmed later by a real doctor at Prism Eye Care. After four months of what would I call abuse of me and the system I chose to remove myself from OCC merry-go-round. It was obvious to me that I would be asked to see more doctors and no one there seemed to agree with each other's diagnoses. OCC should be taking lessons from Prism Eye Care. They were everything OCC is not. I will be for ever grateful to the all the staff and doctors at Prism. I cannot say enough about the greatness of Dr. Ahmed and Prism Eye Care. They promptly assessed my problem and immediately made an appointment for me to undergo cataract surgery. Dr. Kaleche said, "With no time to waste." They are warm, compassionate and prompt. After two cataract surgeries my eyesight is restored. God bless the magical hands of Dr. I Ahmed and Dr. Kaleche and the rest the medical team and Prism. They were everything you would wish for when you trust them with one of your most precious senses. read more

My husband and I are frequently visiting the OCC office in Mississauga for the last 14 years. We are both the patients of Dr. Narendra Armogan who is an amazing doctor. During our frequent appointment we always experienced excellent service in the OCC office. The staff is very courteous, polite and works with great efficiency. The office is always very busy as Dr. Armogan and the other specialists are providing care to countless patients from all over the GTA but the waiting times are reasonable because the office is well organized and everybody working with great efficiency to provide the best care possible. My husband is diabetic who needs constant care and had multiple eye surgeries in the past 14 years. We know how lucky we are that years ago we found Dr. Armogan and became his patients. We believe that without his expert and amazing care my husband would not be able to see today. Dr. Armogan is always very friendly, very nice to everybody and even thought he sees countless of patients a day he seems to remember everybody by name and treats all his patients as persons. He always has a kind word to everybody, treats all people (patients and staff) with respect and always makes sure that all his patients got the best possible care in his office. Thank you very much for all the great work and amazing care Dr. Armogan and all the staff at OCC. Piroska and Paul Hamilton Alliston, Ontario read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Our experience with this clinic has been deeply upsetting and has had a serious impact on my husband's health. My husband suffered a retinal detachment. At this clinic, a gas bubble was inserted instead of an oil bubble, which we later learned may have been a more appropriate treatment for his situation. Despite multiple visits and calls over several months, the approach remained the same--repeated laser procedures--with no significant improvement and no clear guidance on alternative options. We also did not receive any after-hours support when issues arose. Eventually, we were advised to go to the emergency department, where another ophthalmologist immediately expressed concern about the treatment method. Surgery was performed right away, and we were told that oil may have been the preferred choice from the start. Unfortunately, by that time, we had already lost four months without the treatment that might have given my husband a better outcome. This experience left us feeling neglected and frustrated. We trusted this clinic with my husband's eyesight, and the lack of timely, appropriate care has been devastating. I strongly encourage anyone seeking retinal treatment to research all their options carefully before deciding where to go. read more

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Armagon for several years. Throughout this period he and the staff at Opthalmic Consultant Centres have treated her, and me, with care and respect. During our many visits to the facility, I believe I've gained a very clear picture of the Centre's approach to treating its clients. Yes, it is a very busy facility. And at times it can be somewhat intimidating, especially if it is your first visit. But it is well designed and managed to maximize the productivity of its doctors and treatment equipment. Dr Armagon works at a high pace, in large part to help ensure he treats as many patients as possible. Despite this pressure he is always willing and able to take the time to answer questions and explain in layman's terms what he plans on doing, why the course of treatment is necessary and advisable and also the prognosis. He has been very reassuring while also never over promising in terms of outcomes. In short he has earned our trust and appreciation. If you have a serious eye condition, you would be wise to book an appointment with Opthalmic Consultant Centres. Bill Kennedy read more

I had my eye surgery in 2008 and in 2009, and I have had regular follow up examinations ever since. This is an amazing organization that verifies the latest eye surgery for the US AMA. You get the benefit of all the latest research and latest techniques. In order to cover the costs, OCC has streamline the process with various stations that you pass through each time. It's a great system, and it works. Your alternative is finding an older surgeon who handles everything himself, such as in a smaller town or city. You may get a little more one on one with the surgeon, but not the latest technology. Hey - they are your eyes - what is more important? These surgeons are leading the way in eye treatments. What more can you ask for? Thanks to OCC I have fantastic vision. When I started, I had just 50% in one eye. I can't say enough good things about the team. I have always been treated with respect and courtesy and appreciate the wonderful things they did for me. Bruce Williams read more

I was born with cataracts, spent my life having eye doctors making money of glasses, patches, & $300 per lense toric lense contacts that never worked. by 30, I was basically completely blind. Couldn't even See the huge Movie theatre signs outside. Dr. Armogan had me seeing what others see for the first time in my life! I Didn't realize you could see pores like that! Lol Took me a long while to get used to everything I had been missing, & for the novelty to west off. Wild! It's an extremely busy building, so many with eyesight needs. It's fast paced, but you're in the best hands. The complaints about how people don't get to talk for long amounts of time seem unfair. If they did that for everyone, you'd be on a 6 year+ waitlist living with blindness. The drs know what they are doing! Want to ramble? That's what neighbours, & the local convenience store clerk is for. Unfair reviews for fast tracking your eye care health sigh read more

I have been seeing Dr Armogan almost every week for the past four years and if it was not for this wonderful doctor, I would have lost my eyesight. I have had regular bleeding in my retina, and have often needed to see him urgently and he has always fitted me into his busy schedule. I had complicated vitrectomy surgery last year, where a number of different procedures were carried out, and thanks to his superior skills, vast experience and knowledge, the surgery was a tremendous success. Dr Armogan is an extremely busy doctor, but yet I find him very personable with a great sense of humour. The facility is run like a well oiled machine, clean and modern and well staffed. The clinic sees hundreds of patients everyday, so at first you may think you will be waiting all day to be seen, but things actually move very quickly, it really is the epitome of efficiency. As an eyeglass wearer since childhood, I have met numerous eye care professionals over the past 50+ years. I first became a patient of Dr. Armogan six years ago when I incurred a detached retina, which he promptly corrected. Two years later, I experienced a severely detached retina in my other eye. Because I was out of the country at the time, it took a few days to get back to Dr. Armogan's clinic, by which time I was completely blind in that eye. Two retinal surgeries and numerous follow ups later, my vision was 100% restored. I will always be grateful to Dr. Armogan for all his effort to restore my eyesight. The medical skill and knowledge, and professionalism of both Dr. Armogan and Dr. Gill is unsurpassed. Their attention to detail is remarkable, and their Mississauga clinic runs like a Swiss watch. Thank you Doctors, for the superb quality of care. Keep up the great work! read more

I have had the misfortune to have had retinal detachments and retinal tears, in both eyes. Serious stuff requiring serious care. The OCC has been pivotal in my eye care. I have been a patient of Dr. Armogan for about 9 years. Quite simply, he has saved my vision. Twice. I can think of no higher recommendation than this. Yes, he is busy; he may appear to have limited time for patients. He has always had time to answer any questions I have. We don't need to chit-chat. That is time better spent with other patients. I would suggest that he is one of the finest doctors in his field, and, given that my retinal problems will likely be with me into the future, i am lucky to be in his care. The Centre itself is professional and well run. This staff know their stuff! -BarryG read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Narendra Armogan at the Mississauga clinic for the past four years. Dr. Armogan performed a vitrectomy surgery on my left eye in 2011, which undoubtedly, saved the sight in that eye. He has also done cataract surgery on both of my eyes. Without his knowledge and experience I would not enjoy the sight I have today. Dr. Armogan is a leading researcher in the country in the development of new treatment procedures for eye diseases. In my experience, I I have always found the entire staff to be professional and friendly. If you are experiencing problems with your eyes or sight, I would highly recommend Dr. Armogan and his team at the Mississauga Clinic. Don C. read more

I have been a patient here for my than 5 years and have found them to be exceptional in all aspects of their business. I originally went because I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa ( tunnel vision) and subsequently had to have cataract surgery on both eyes. My surgery has been a total success (thanks Dr Armogan) but the after care, I go for a check up every 4 months, is superb. They are caring, efficient and I know exactly what is happening with my eyes at each visit. The people are outstanding and the equipment, premises top of the line. I could not be more satisfied and recommend everyone to go there for any sort of eye treatment. Roger-Mississauga read more

The care, most importantly, is exceptional. I have been unfortunately coming to the clinic for 6 years with Macular Degeneration. Originally my sight deteriorated but through the years with Dr. Armogan, he has been able to stabilize and bring back my sight to a very acceptable level. He genuinely cares about his patients and how he can succeed with their individual eye problems. This is a VERY busy clinic with very efficient services, and very competent doctors. Yes, it will take time when you are there and yes, there will be lots of other patients but their system works well. I find it ingenious how they process the many patients throughout the day. read more

Several years ago, my aging eyes were deteriorating quickly. Since meeting Dr. Armogan and the clinic.......I see almost 20/20........have night vision........only require reading glasses, with healthier retinas. The clinic is totally functional, with its precision type visits, keeping the length of time below 30 minutes per visit. After commuting over 2.5 hours to have my eyes checked, this time saving is appreciated. Great Work - OCC, and my sincere thanks to Dr. Armogan. Your loyal patient, Ann. read more

Top quality medical and surgical care for cataracts. The ophthalmologists are outstanding. Care is exceptionally thorough. With excellence comes a high volume of patients. Great efforts are made to accommodate the patient traffic, but be prepared to wait to receive services. The Centre is extraordinarily efficient and accurate and staff do their best to provide personal care. This is a highly sophisticated medical and surgical facility, and consequently is a very busy place. read more

I started seeing Doc. Armogan in Jan 2012. He has been seeing me and treating me for bleeding in my eyes and with all his help my eyes are much better. In Nov.2013 I had pains in my head and was told to see Doc Kosaric. He sent me for further tests at the Brampton hospital and it was determined that it was due to dry eyes. Between Doc. Armogan and Doc. Kosaric ,I think I finally got my eyes back. A big thank you has to go to these 2 doctors for all their help. Dorothy read more

Boris K. I've had a cataract procedure on one of my eyes, I am very pleased with the result. A big Thank You to Dr. Narendra Armogan and the great staff at the clinic. Everything went fast, was well explained before and after the surgery, within 2 weeks after the procedure I am ready to get back to my normal everyday life. I've been going to OCC for 8 years due to a detached retina in both eyes which I suffered at 44. It's a busy place, which I like to call "organized chaos," but it runs smoothly and I've never gotten lost in the shuffle. Dr. Armogan saved my vision, and regular check-ups with him have been imperative in helping to maintain optimum eye health. read more
