His bedside manner is reassuring, and he is a talented surgeon, and he always has a smile and a handshake for you. The difference in my driver's license pic is amazing. I am 60 years old, and now I am being asked occasionally to show my ID when I buy wine, which never happened before. The results are amazing. I am sorry to see negative reviews of the staff and the quality. I have been there so many times, and every time I went to the office in Ocala, I only saw the best professionalism, smiles, and as the staff walked by you they always had an upbeat smile and a Hi for you. I had the worst expertise with Dr blossom at my appointment/referral for a CONSULT for possible Mohs Surgery with a skin rebuild due to the lack of cartilage on my nose for just Mohs. So I went to them so I could be discuss being immediately treated by the plastic surgeon doctor after Mohs cancer removal was completed if necessary . Naturally, I was anxious and upset at the possibility of losing much of my nose. Dr. Blossom was abrupt, uncaring, rough when removing the scab from previous biopsy. She was shaming, demeaning, and lacked any desire to provide info or consult on choices, Mohs routine procedures, who was doing the surgery, who would do rebuild, and would I have anesthesia or medication to relieve anxiety. What I couldn't think of to ask her, she did not share. Abruptly she left the room stating I needed immediate surgery. Bye. I was rattled. Scheduled surgery, then regrouped and called the office manager, who was wonderful and caring and explained everything the doctor should have shared. At this point, I'm not sure what I'm going to do or what Dr I'm going to use, but I can tell you for sure it won't be Dr. Blossom. She is a young Doctor Who is absolutely full of self importance and insensitive to the anxiety and discomfort of a patient. Never again. I also have to say, it could just Have been just that day, but the check-in procedure was tedious and lengthy. Since I was just going for a consult and had not made any decision about using the doctor or not, I was required to fill out 10 pages of patient information before I could get in. Poor communication from the get go. I was referred there by my optometrist for a blepharoplasty or another indicated procedure to be able to insert my scleral lenses more easily. First appointment was in 12/24. Dealt with their insurance department not returning phone calls and emails for MONTHS. Then out of the blue, someone named "Alyssa" calls and says "let's get you scheduled for your surgery". She didn't have any information about which surgery or if anyone had called my insurance company. I was then required to go to a second "free" consultation - which was not free, to determine which surgery we were doing. The entire 6 months of trying to communicate with this place was extremely frustrating. I wrote a letter asking for help and was then told by Dr. Niher that I was no longer welcome in their practice. Good riddance. People don't enjoy being treated so impersonally and unprofessionally. Would not recommend them AT ALL. read more

What outcome I sought ( size, shape, specific changes); B. The rationale behind my need for surgery; C. Highly specific and quite unique physical attributes I have crucial to a positive outcome; D. Questions on whether these idiosyncrasies are feasible for what I want? He repeated back, verifying each issue I raised confirming he could easily manage these odd specifics with an ideal outome. He also verbalized what process would be needed due go my physical condition. And? This zurgeon did NOT ONE of the steps he had committed to. He ignored any uniqueness he'd agreed that were required, and that he said he would follow. The doctor was abrupt, uncaring, hurried, cold and focused only on the issue that his overpriced fee had been paid in full. This practice shows high disrespect for patients, and values it's entry level staff more than they do any patient, and they have an established pattern: they create some conflict where the patient is alienated-- for saying the wrong thing, or asking too many questions. THEN when you express discontent that they clearly did a BAIT AND SWITCH--WE PROMISE YOU THIS. WE'LL DO WHAT WE WANT--the Patient is the bad guy. So! My body is mangled. My $10,000 spent, my sound objections rejected, the evidence of malpractice clear on my body, AND I have no options available to me. Ok. So I got my tummy tuck in 2010. For 7 years I did not have any issues except a scar where the drain tube was removed to early by the surgeon. Do I wake up 7 years later and find that the area on my rib cage that was flattened during the tummy tuck in 2010 is now pre procedure including most of the stretch marks that were supposedly removed. This really sucks because I was told by the surgeon that the only 2 situations that would cause my tummy tuck to reverse was weight gain or pregnancy. I am giving 2 stars for 7 years of a flat stomach. Now I will have to have the procedure again. Shouldn't the surgeon be partially responsible?? Lol read more

I made an appointment with the newest doctor, Dr. Jennel Carreras-Montgomery. We decided to do breast reconstruction which would be scheduled within the next 2 months. I then spent the next three weeks trying to contact her nurse without any luck. I was told I would get a call back and I never did. I finally called and asked to speak to the office manager, and I was left on hold for over 20 minutes. I recently scheduled a consult. I explained that I was medically unable to wear the nose/mouth facemask but can wear the plastic shield. I was told that was fine. I drove to my appt. on the other side of town; difficult for me as I'm a disabled veteran. I was greeted by a staff member who had a paper mask only covering her mouth w/nose exposed. I noticed also someone in the waiting room also with only mouth covered. I waited for my appt. Presently, a woman (office mgr.) came charging at me thrusting a mask at me and said I would not be seen without a mask. I pointed out that while my nose, mouth AND eyes were covered with non porous plastic, her staff member and a person in the waiting room didn't even have their nose covered. The woman totally ignored that glaring inconsistency. I was told no mask/no appt. I was humiliated, upset and angry at having been lied to and then be treated in that manner. OBVIOUSLY this was NOT about health/safety but about OBEDIENCE and submission. If there was less than a one star, I'd give it. These people don't care about their patients and being practically the only game in town, they get away with it. I will NEVER go there again. read more

Let me start by saying that when I went for my consultation and then my preop appointment I felt very comfortable with the staff and I felt like it was going to be a great experience getting my surgery there and not once did I see a red flag. I have done a lot of research before I had my surgery and I felt like this was going to be a good fit and every concern that I had was answered the way I needed it to be answered to have my surgery there until the day of surgery. On the day of surgery I was the second case and I was told to arrive at 11:30 and the first case was running very far behind which was OK with me since I was nervous but willing to wait without any issues. The first patient was a family member of the staff member that was taking care of me so she obviously got top-notch care. They brought me into the OR after 1 o'clock for a very long procedure which was a tummy tuck liposuction and breast augmentation. My family member got a call at 4:30 to say that they were closing me up and by 5:15 I was home on my couch. I have never had anesthesia before and they woke me right up from surgery and I was delirious and dizzy and didn't know where I was and they were already pulling out my IV and telling me to get in the wheelchair. after surgery I was not closed properly and I have a hideous scar from where the sutures weren't properly sewed and I was leaking continuously and my drains were leaking really bad and they never once would bring me back in to put an extra stitch in even after I expressed concern. To top off my experience they cracked one of my molars when they put the breathing tube in. I sent in the review for the manager and she reached out to me and I sent messages back to her and then she never followed up with me. I felt that Sara the manager reached out to pacify me and say she tried to contact me and was probably relived when I didn't answer while at work. My breast are now just large saggy boobs when Dr. Nijher told me I didn't need a breast lift and I asked him to even out my breast by making the left one a larger implant so my breast would be even and he did not do that after I asked him to and he agreed. when we did the consultation he showed me with the implant where my breast would be after the surgery and that is nowhere near where the breast are now. Also I have a large bump on my abdomen around the belly button that looks like a hernia from where he did not sew around the belly button all the way and we can feel where there's a hollow spot where he did not sew it. I can keep going as this nightmare just got progressively worse but those are the highlights of my experience I do not recommend this practice. read more

I recently went to this office for a consultation. I was so excited as it has taken me a long time to decide to possibly have plastic surgery. I met with Dr. Ahumada and a lady (not sure title or name). The Dr. unfortunately, has the personality of a person who seems complacent in his position to help men and women feel good about themselves and possibly uplift their confidence or self esteem through his talents. The Dr. seemed slightly annoyed to answer my questions and even more annoyed that I was not completely understanding of his explanations. He did not smile one time, he was not particularly friendly, and he did not enstill any confidence in me that he even wanted to be involved in my possible procedures. I am not sure if he was having a bad day or if this is his general demeanor but it was definitely enough to make me rethink my decision on this surgeon. If that wasn't enough, the young lady who wore the blue "cool sculpting" scrubs (again don't know her name or title) took me to an office to do the quote. I was very happy with the price and the 5% cash discount. However, when I asked her to repeat what she had just told me because I wasn't listening as I was looking up the Dr. License information on my phone and I told her I was doing so, she sighed like it was a tremendous burden to repeat herself. She became very annoyed almost like I was wasting her time. I even mentioned to her that she seemed annoyed at me and although I was so excited and fully prepared to have the procedures, I was now not comfortable with the environment and would need to think about things. She had mentioned that she worked for Dr. Rogers, so I assumed she was possibly annoyed because she was maybe filling in for this other doctor and did not want to be...I don't know. This young lady saw me and knew the reason I was looking on my phone when we first came in the office, would it have been so bad to wait 2 minutes to let me finish so I could listen and give her my full attention. As a multi business owner in several states, I would be horrified if my staff treated any of my customers with anything but respect, friendliness, and an overall welcoming tone. Unfortunately, I did not feel those things for my consultation. I'm still very excited to have these procedures completed but unfortunately, not at this practice. read more

As a healthcare professional in the community, I thought I was choosing a practice I could trust. I chose to have plastic surgery to feel better about myself after having children. I had issues almost right way after surgery. In being realistic, complications do happen sometimes, but that is not what my complaint is about. For over two years of going back and forth, and having a revision surgery which did not fix the problem, I had to walk away. Each and every time I went in for an appointment, I wouldn't sleep for days because of the way I was treated by the staff and the anxiety they caused me. In particular, the medical assistant Donna, treated me extremely poor and showed zero compassion. After the Dr and I would discuss options and prices to fix the problem, I went home to think about it, being that it was a major decision not to be made on the spot. Once the decision was made, the quotes I received were much higher than discussed at the appointment. I would explain that quote does not match what we agreed upon, and I was told that was the best they would do. There is much more to the story, but the end result was me going to another surgeon and starting over financially to fix the problem. The new surgeon immediately identified the problem. The physical pain, anxiety, depression, and suffering I experienced as a result of choosing Ocala Plastic Surgery is now GONE thanks to me choosing to go to another practice. Over the past two years, I feel I have basically missed out on life as a result of how this problem was handled by them, not to mention the cost of multiple surgeries to ultimately reverse the damage they caused to my body. As I said earlier, I myself work in healthcare, and many of my colleagues have had similar experiences with this practice. I feel that if anyone should have been able to choose "the best", it should have been me. Unfortunately, this was not the case. If I can save one person from going through what I did, then I have done my job. Before making a decision on who to trust with your body, ask around, go to multiple consultations, and do not choose Ocala Plastic Surgery. read more
