I would not recommend Lauren Davis to my worst enemy. I went into their office to help treat a…read morechronic skin condition that has flare ups, which up until the point of beginning care with this nurse was usually pretty mild but I felt good because they listed my skin ailment as one they specialize in, since it's sort of misunderstood in general. Fast forward 4 weeks into starting injections to help treat the disease, and I'm having the most painful, worst flare up in my life, in an area that's impossible to keep dry and has begun tunnelling and am in constant debilitating pain. Using the restroom is screaming agony (literally). One month ago, all they would do is 10 days of antibiotics, and clindamycin ointment. This is a skin disease with chronic pain, and they refused any sort of help whatsoever. Not wound care, not any kind of topical anesthetic, further medicine, another antibiotic, nothing. They just suggested Tylenol. They basically told me they didn't care, take the injections, but we won't actually help to treat your condition in any other way, but hey, the biologic which costs thousands for a single dose might stop you from having more flare ups in the future, maybe (i.e. 16 weeks in the future or more). Flare ups are just expected, deal with it. Which with milder cases of this disease, the flare ups I'd had up til now usually weren't really progressed, and it's more of an annoyance that heals in a few days, but with this severe case, exacerbated by the biologic injection, and the location on the inside of the genitals preventing healing, regardless of what I do to try and dress the wounds, I am at a pain level of 9 or 10 constantly, since the wounds remain open. The only option they would keep saying is to just start injections again, do warm compresses and sitz baths and deal with it because they don't help with flare ups. They tried to say that their referrals are three weeks behind so it wouldn't be worth it to even try to send me anywhere else. One of them said, "that would just be a bandaid", which, hey, is exactly what's needed until the wounds can heal, since I have been living with this for a month, iif they ever do. I need help from a professional and am given nothing! The pain is extreme and long lasting and recurring. I can't keep living like this, either way, I need some doctor who is willing to help and she definitely isn't it. They said flare ups are going to happen, and regardless, they won't do anything to help with that regardless of how extreme, it's just part of the disease, which they are supposed to be treating, so, gosh why would they?! That's their job! All they kept saying is to start taking injections again. It's been a month on bed rest since that appointment, and it's getting even worse. I'm barely sleeping, barely eating, and every step is painful. My case is extreme and I just wish these people had to experience something like this and then see how much more compassionate they might be. They wouldn't even let me come back into the office, because it's "just a flare-up." I will never trust them again, and I would urge anyone considering this provider, know that they do not care about their patients. I would never take those other injections with this provider after I heal, because what if the same thing happens? I'd just be SOL because I already know that they literally do nothing to help? Having the disease is bad enough, but when the one person who is a specialist who is supposed to understand and help treat the disease basically says "sucks to be you," that's the straw that broke the camel's back. Stay away from these awful people!

I had to find a lot of specialists on my own when we moved to Ocala because I was not familiar with the area and I did not know anyone to provide recommendations. I originally made my first appointment at the Jasmine Park location due to availability. I started coming to Deerwood because it is closest to my house and at the time, they provided Dermaplaning services. I have been coming to see Lacy monthly for Dermaplaning for over a year and I adore her. Initially, I had my first Dermaplaning service with someone else (maybe Brenda?) but I am so glad she was no longer available and I somehow wound up with Lacy. Lacy has paid attention to details on my skin during our visits and also gives me accurate treatment care for in between services. I have come once for my annual skin check here in 2023 and saw Brooklyn. She was great and answered any questions I had, as well as giving me recommendations. I am coming up on my annual skin check so fingers crossed! Everyone here is extremely professional. The office is always clean. Even the waiting room is super cozy! There is coffee, soda, water, and juice boxes as refreshments. Such a nice touch. They do sell an abundance of skin care products but I am never able to purchase them because CareCredit does not approve the brands they sell.
