After being transferred to 4 or 5 different point people and a YEAR after I paid my first $7500 installment and they had sat on that money interest free for one year, I pushed VERY VERY hard to get them to start installing the solar. By that point they had forgotten that I had paid for the system and was not renting it.... I'm convinced that if I hadn't pushed extraordinarily hard, that I would have never got my solar. They also lost all the preliminary work they had done and had pics from someone else's house thinking it was mine. The roofers they picked included one person who was literally a child. They did such a terrible job that I got $11k of damages in the first precipitation. TWO leak points. One on the chimney and one on the swamp cooler. I lost a whole month of work and Brett won't give me the time of day. Now i'm trying to get my money back. While the roofers were sub-contractors, Enlighten Solar workers inspected their work and still chose to put the panels up. They looked past all the terrible work, including two spots where they just tacked tiles to rotted wood underneath. Rows of shingles went off in weird angles and they tried to skimp on materials by not overlapping the shingles properly. There was no flashing at all around the chimney. But the Enlighten ppl did their work. They cut air intake lines below what code allows to fit panels without asking me. Then the first precipitation, there is a river running in my walls. Feb 2025, the all the panels come down, all the roof redone, and i had interior crews working on my place and spreading particles of rat droppings literally everywhere. It is August i'm fighting not to be ghosted and still get my money back ($14k). I am SO tired of dealing with this company. This was supposed to be done in 2023. I would not be shocked if i'm still dealing with this in 2026. I know there were some really sad circumstances involving the company. But I think there were also critical issues of mis-management that are just not okay in any circumstance. I observed just unreal levels of lack of coordination. It was a true shit show from start to finish. One thing is I was told that my situation was the first time they deal with anything like this (Brett Jarman said)... Turns out, i've met some other people now who had the same bad experience and outcome as me. I see the similarities. The fact that they take more money for deposit than legally allowed. They take forever and sit on your money. They do sub-par work and ask for payment promptly upon completion of work. When things go wrong, they ghost you and try to create ways to delay addressing the issue which they NEVER intend to actually solve. Please refer to Stacey's review ($200k of damages) and other stories, seems like my situation was NOT unique. This makes me call into question ALL of the "truths" that I had in my head. I wonder how many of the excuses were straight up lies. I really think that this group of individuals ride the line between legit business and a scam. There seems to be enough people who have gotten screwed here. Some of us are starting to collaborate. Feel free to join the party. I'm considering a class action lawsuit, so feel free to reach out to me other people who left terrible reviews and other people who got screwed over by this company.

It was seamless and "almost" right on the projected time frames. Through the process they kept me up to date and were available for a few questions I had along the way. The installation crew came out and they were EVEN better than the customer service and sales rep. Eduardo Naranjo needs a promotion and a raise. The man was so humble, genuine and all around a great guy. He dealt with my kids and many dogs with no fear lol. He was professional and kept me apprised of everything the crew was doing. At then end of the installation I was sad to see the man and his team go because they were so personable and efficient. The install of my panels and batteries looks way way better than I could have imagined. I already had existing solar that I liked. But this new system blows it out the water. Anyway. Update for my review with OC - Savannah from customer service reached out regarding my experience…read moreand expressed regret over how things went and changes were actively happening at the company. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

I needed to repair my skylight after noticing moisture on an area of the wood below it. My skylight had been installed incorrectly by another company, which was contributing to the moisture issue. Since skylight repairs can be a relatively small job, I found that not many reputable companies were interested in doing this type of work. I was very happy to find Sunline Energy. Juan handled the skylight and related roof and flashing repairs, and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. He is a perfectionist and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. He went above and beyond and fixed both the skylight and surrounding roof area beyond my expectations. I do not recommend this company, I wanted to cancel my agreement because they postponed install…read moredate on more than one ocasion, they wouldn't refund my $1,000 deposit even though they were not complying with the agreement, life got busy and I could not pursue filing in small claims court but after hearing about the experience others had with the company (a nightmare), I realized losing a $1,000 was very little compared to what others experienced, not a reliable company because if they couldn't fulfil the timeline they should have offered to cancel and refund deposit, very disappointing. Adding on after Sunline Energy's response: I did not mention the following yet it is important to do so, in 2024 3 roofing companies told me that the roof was past due on repair, I had mentioned what happened with Sunline Energy in 2023 and was told that your company as well as others install on roofs that are not healthy enough and even with replacement of shingles the plywood was not thick enough to support solar panels, in other words, Sunline never mentioned something that was felt just by walking on the roof, ethics should be as important as obtaining a sale because people work hard to keep there home maintained, honesty is the best policy, I understand that the company must achieve sales but situations as so are very disturbing, Sunline Energy continues to owe us $1,000 due to a deposit for a job that never took place.

They were always available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with our electricians whenever something came up. Because they knew our system inside and out, they were able to jump in quickly and help keep the project on track. Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later.
