You can get appointments right away, but only do it if you know what you have. I scheduled a wellness exam and they tried to charge a co-pay. When I called them out, they did waive the fee and asked me to look for another doctor instead of acknowledging their mistake. I am not someone that comes to the doctors that often and this is obviously discouraging and adds to the mistrust of doctors.

The front desk staff is so uncaring. They do not know how to exercise basic humane reactions. You walk away from an appt not even have a result. They dont even submit referrals correctly It took me 6 or more months of calling weekly to get them to submit my cpap machine properly. Literally filled out the main referral for the mask only. Called called called and finally gave them a list of codes I received from the providing facility to give them myself cause they were tired of reaching out to parsas staff to correct My last straw.. was recently. I had a stroke and after release from hospital, I was told my primary doc office needs to refer me to cardiology for a heart monitor. I call them and explain I need Tiffany, the PA to refer me to cardiology. Of course they say.. you need an appt. I say not really she just needs to send a referral in so I can get my monitor to rule out Afib as a cause .. the very uncaring receptionist say.. well we can see you on the 11th. Im like.. its the 29th.. so you see waiting 2 weeks is not really good.. I just had a stroke! She says well, sorry parsa is booked and so is Tiffany. I said its an emergency. What's your protocol? She says there is none. I said please place me on hold and ask if she can fit in a tele health visit in the next day or so.. if she literally needs an appt it needs to be sooner. She refused to do that ReFUSED stating protocol. I said so you have NO EMERGENCY PROTOCOL? She said no.. 2 weeks pass and of course.. I jave now had 4 more mini strokes.. NOT Tia's literally brain damaging strokes.. and I get my appt.. so she can refer me to cardiology and ​I forget to ask for wprk paperwork.. so I called back within three days of that appt.. to get that paperwork and they tell me You need another appt. And it has to be in person. Not a telehealth. I said, no ma'am I just had an appt and this is part of it.. she said no.. I said please just email her and tell her I forgot to ask for that paperwork she said no again amd refused my request three more times before I told her she will indeed get a message to her and if I hear from her lips she needs an appt then we would go from there. Unbelievable how they treat people who need some care and compassion. Horrible place. Yes.. they called back and said, you need an appt. I will never return. I called my neurologist and they had the paperwork I needed emailed to me within 15 minutes! This office will not even call you to give you test results regarding a previous app.. without you paying another office copay. I have never experienced such blatant disrespect for people in all my life. I am a caring and kind person and this office made me feel like a speck of dirt under their shoes.

I call my health insurance company and they confirm that the doctors office never build it as a routine lab work so if that happens to you, make sure you call them and get them to provide a CPT code as well as a diagnosis code for routine lab work and make sure you call them every day to make sure it's done. Don't rely on the lab to tell you is done. You have to call the lab too and make sure that they got the submission from dr parsa's office.

I refused to pay the $50 to come BACK to the office the same day, for the RX. 3. His physicians assistant incorrectly diagnosed me as having HPV. And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had at an urgent care…read more I had been dealing with shingles for a little over six days and had been prescribed Valtrex beforehand. I woke up from a fever nap with significant ear pain, redness, and small lumps around my ear, which was concerning to me because I was worried the infection may have involved my ear. That was the primary reason I decided to visit urgent care. The nurse was professional and completed the usual intake, including taking my blood pressure and asking basic questions. Unfortunately, my experience with the physician was very different. When the doctor came in, he asked why I was there. I explained that I had shingles and that my main concern was the new ear pain and soreness. He asked me to lift my shirt to look at the rash and simply responded, "Yup, good ole shingles." He did not ask when my symptoms had started, how they had progressed, or many of the other questions I would have expected during an evaluation. When I specifically brought up my ear pain, his response was simply, "Unrelated." I was then given a packet of recommendations and a prescription for the generic version of the medication I was already taking. The doctor did not take the time to explain the recommendations or discuss why prescribing essentially the same medication was necessary. I also explained that I had been bedridden for approximately four days because of my symptoms, but I did not feel that this was meaningfully addressed. I asked for a doctor's note for the days of work I had missed. The doctor said he could provide one, but only beginning on the date of my visit. I understood that limitation. I then asked for his medical opinion regarding when it would be appropriate for me to return to work. His response was essentially, "You tell me when you want to go back." That was extremely frustrating. As the medical professional evaluating me, I was looking to him for guidance about when it would be medically appropriate and safe for me to return to work. I paid $165 out of pocket for this visit. I left feeling like I had received very little information or guidance for the money I had spent, and I was still concerned about the ear pain that had prompted me to seek care in the first place. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the written information I was given specifically stated to seek medical attention right away if experiencing ear pain or ringing in the ear. This directly conflicted with what I had been told during the appointment--that my ear pain was "unrelated." I understand that urgent care visits can be brief and that physicians are busy. However, I expected at minimum to have my primary concerns properly evaluated, to have my questions answered, and to receive some guidance regarding what symptoms I should monitor and when I should seek additional care. I ultimately left the clinic more concerned than when I arrived and am now considering going to another urgent care to have my ear properly evaluated. Since I am paying out of pocket, having to pay for another visit is especially frustrating. The icing on the cake was I had to go to the Ralph's located in the same plaza since I've been bedridden. seeing the doctor walk into the same Ralph's a minute after me reassured he seemed to rush me out just so he could take a lunch. I can only speak to my own experience, and perhaps other providers at this location offer a different level of care. However, based on my experience with this particular visit, I was extremely disappointed and would not return to this provider.

He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and has a way of making you feel comfortable and genuinely heard. That kind of care is hard to find these days. I highly recommend this urgent care to anyone who needs quality medical attention. I actually drive from Mid-City Los Angeles just to come here, and I think that says everything. It's usually for a bad cold/flu, or a…read morepositive test for Covid, but I've found them extremely helpful in providing advice and suggesting the right medication. They always seem to know how to treat the current flu variation and if antibiotics are warranted or just a stronger cough medicine to help me sleep. I've always been able to make same day appointments, or early next morning ones. They always schedule a follow-up which is often through Zoom, but it's nice of them to make sure I'm OK. Saturdays are a little different though as they don't take appointments, but walk-ins only. That means you might have to wait. You can wait in your car or walk around the strip mall as they'll text you when they're ready to see you, so you don't have to sit in a waiting room. And finally, everything is Wizard of Oz themed, so if you're a fan of the movie, you'll really like this place!
