At which time I decided to move and leave the area. I moved a half hour away. Only to find out months later I am being pursued by this group that I owe my membership fees - $280...Even though I explained numerous times that I moved out of the area and that the equipment was faulty and I was not interested in continuing my membership. Recently, I was visited by a Justice of the Peace Court from Delaware, for a judgement for $300 to be paid or they will take a TV from my house of the same value. You have to be kidding me. It is difficult to avoid seeing the programs during a half hour workout. The staff said they were unable to change it and when I asked a second time, the woman just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I asked in FB messenger and got no response. The "employees" for the most part are retirees who were coincidentally members of the gym prior to their employment there. It's a welcoming, fun, friendly atmosphere to get fit in. The ladies that posted these hurtful, negative reviews apparently have expectations from somewhere else. Kimberly, the staffed hours are on the door. Do you regularly go to a business that has their posted hours 8am-7pm at 9pm or 6am? Energy Gym is accessible for use by members 24/7/365. I suppose you expect them to pay someone to staff it at 3am in the hope someone wants to join a gym at that ungodly hour. Margaret, really, you went during posted staffed hours and no one was working. I call BS. You both sound quite like entitled whiners that should just stay where you came from. I went in to Energy Gym for my usual 7:30am workout. Saw many of the usuals but the number of people working out was double because of the number of visitors there! So Kimberly, you drove 30-45 minutes to either West OC or Millsboro. And Margaret, honestly what local gym, if any, did you join that has the classes, equipment, terrific staff and friendly members Energy Gym has? Your loss ladies.

John talks to you and gets to know your thoughts, goals and concerns. He is focused on your health and making you the best that you can be. Sometimes this means being totally supportive and sometimes this means challenging you to get the best out of you (which I consider to be totally supportive too). John is never the same tired routine. Each time I go into 302 fitness, he is ready with a workout designed for me. If you have never tried a trainer, I would encourage you to stop by 302 fitness and/or give John a call, I don't know why it took me this long to consider a trainer. Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is the fastest growing sport in the world right now, so if you're in…read moreOC, do yourself a little favor and see what all of the hype is about! Dawn, the owner of OC SUP & Fitness, got me into SUP a little over a year ago when I took a "flowga" class with her (yes, that would be yoga on a paddleboard in the middle of the bay) and I was instantly hooked. I spend most of my weekends in OC, and I still take her fitness classes whenever I can. Aside from the flowga classes, OC SUP & Fitness offers a variety of other fitness classes utilizing paddleboards, including core strengthening and bootcamp classes. The paddleboard bootcamp classes are my personal favorite. I thought I was in pretty good shape until I took one of these classes... I definitely have my ass handed to me each time I take this class. You will do plyometrics exercises and suicide drills on the beachy areas near Fager's in addition to exercises and sprints on the paddleboards. The class may seem a little intimidating but anyone can do it, regardless of fitness level, as long as you're willing to push yourself. I've seen people of all ages and fitness capabilities in these classes, and Dawn puts extra effort into making sure everyone feels welcome and challenged. Most of all she makes sure everyone has FUN! If you're interested in something a little more laid back, you can take private paddleboard lessons or simply rent a board and explore the bay at your own pace. This is a sport that is great for kids, so make sure to bring the entire family! SUP provides a great physical workout, but it is also very relaxing as the feeling of floating and "walking on water" is unbelievably soothing. All of OC SUP & Fitness' classes and board rentals are done out of Fager's Island. The location is perfect, since you can obviously drop into the bar after a nice paddle and grab an orange crush or two afterward! If you become hooked on the sport, like I did, and buy a board you will get a reduced "BYOB" rate for the group fitness classes. There are so many places in OC where you can learn to SUP, but OC SUP & Fitness is always my first recommendation for people who want to learn. See ya in class!
