Having…read morea stationary bike out of order for a month is one thing but now the situation is far worse. The heater motor burned out on Tuesday and NO repairs have been made and there is no information available regarding status. It is COLD in the gym. And with next week's forecast showing highs in the 20s, this is not sustainable. An indoor business like this should have HVAC issues resolved same day or, worse case, next day. We're on Day 4 and no workers anywhere. I plan to ask for a refund for any days where it is too cold to use the gym.

This gym is a great place to workout and is steps above the competition…read more When I vacation to Ocean City and Bethany I would always travel down to the gym at Gold Coast Mall or visit OC Crossfit, but not since I tried out this World Gym. It is small, but it has everything you need. There is only one squat rack, a couple of flat benches, an incline, and then four or five dumbbell benches. When I have been there, the crowd is small enough that any waits for equipment are very short-lived. There was enough room for deadlifts and olympic lifts. The staff and other members didn't seem to mind me making myself at home. There is plenty of cable equipment too. All of the equipment is new, clean, and in excellent working order. Their free weights go up to 150. My favorite part is the customer service. I left a pair of knee wraps there, and called a week later to see if they were still there. The nice young lady at the front desk found them for me, but told me the manager wasn't there at the moment and took down my information. A week later, they were on my doorstep in California. I really don't think any other gym would go that far to take care of an irregular customer. The price is very affordable ($10 a day), so there really isn't a reason not to come here. It's worth the drive up from Ocean City.

Good spot for just working out…read more.. Found this gym via YELP and it's pretty good. I got a week long pass for $25. It looks to be a converted store and it has a huge expanse. There's plenty of machines and you can do just about anything there. There's also cleaning supplies that you can take with you throughout the gym. The ONLY thing I'd suggest they get is the filtered water fountain where you can fill your water bottle up. Other than that it's a good spot to get one in.

This gym is a gem - it's actually one of the highlights of my trip whenever I am passing through…read morethe Rehoboth / Dewey beach area. First of all - the gym is a private members only gym. If you are a member - you get 24x7 access with a key code. When you get in there - you get access to all the old school, tried and true tools to get in shape. You have our kettlebells, squat racks, rowers, ski-ergs, airdyne machines of death, benches, etc. Also - since the gym is private it is never busy - usually its just you and yourself. Sometimes Paul will be there with another client. The owner / head trainer is Paul - he is awesome. Reach out to him and schedule a 1 on 1 with him. He is worth it.

Whenever I've been there I've heard music playing, yet not obnoxiously loud. They have private classes at an extra annual fee which I've not been interested in because everything I want to use is already there and id personally prefer to exercise at my own pace. There are several tanning booths as well as automated massage tables which I avoid because I don't want to assume a recumbent position in someone else's perspiration, even though there are disinfectant sprats and towels everywhere. Everyone must present their membership card to enter. I personally would like the entrance to be locked and have members swipe to enter. I noticed that they also sell protein shakes which I've never tried. Their motto used to be "We don't judge " which has since been cha fed to " Where the locals train" which i could care less about. Overall, this is a place for fitness for everyone and I will continue my membership for the foreseeable future.

Spin room conditions are unsafe, and management won't listen…read more I want to like Pure Fitness, but the spinning room is a real problem. It runs about 15 degrees hotter than the rest of the gym, and when every bike is taken it gets even worse. I've watched people leave class early to keep from fainting. Members have raised this with management repeatedly. We made a simple, no-cost request: unlock the room an hour before class so it can air out. The door stays locked, and nothing has changed. Many of us in these classes are seniors, and heat like this is a genuine health risk. But it's not just us. Members in their 20s and 30s are complaining too, and it falls on deaf ears. A gym should care about its members' safety and listen when they bring up a problem. Until management fixes the ventilation in the spin room, or at least takes basic steps like airing it out before class, I can't recommend it. I'd love to update this review if they make it right.
