We visited ObservÉtoiles during a visit to Au Diable Vert.
We signed up online based on the online description of it - an outdoor tour of the planets & stars. The website that described the presentation was in English, but the presentation itself was entirely in French. I re-checked their website, and there's only one place I found this mentioned. It also started raining so we left after 15 minutes. As it cost our group of 7 ~$200 CAN, it'd be really nice if they made it clearer that the presentation will be exclusively in French, or let you get a refund when you discover this (they have a strict no refunds policy). I wish I knew French! But, as far as I could tell, it was basically a narrated blurry movie with a "Google Cardboard-style 360-movie". Some goggles were better than others, and one was quite defective (they replaced it, but some people might not have realized). They state "heated seats" but during our chilly, rainy experience, the seats were cold and wet.
All in all, I wish this were a better experience - I love astronomy, stargazing, and planetary study. But, for a non-French speaker, it doesn't make sense-literally. For a French speaker, it might be fun -- though I think since it's basically an outdoor movie, a quality movie narrated by an experienced astronomer would be a better experience.
After an email, they did agree to refund our ticket price, and genuinely reached out to discuss how they could improve the process. Kudos to them for that. read more
