My family and I were traveling through and I found this deli in yelp. Definitely a good place to stop for sandwiches, pizza, burgers, house made baked goods/pastries, and other various food items. Attached is also a gas station and very cool market that has pretty much any grocery item you made need.

UPDATE: This review is for the BIG PINEY location…read more This was our chosen gas stop en route up to the Tetons area. We were pleasantly impressed with the market and deli. What a sweet shop for the locals and the travelers. It has a country store vibe. The ladies were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting outside to eat the pizza we purchased. And we look forward to eating the cheesecake later. The gas was the best priced around which was a bonus. The only drawback was that the internet was down so it was cash only. Fortunately we had some to make our purchases.

Both craving a sandwich, we settled on Obo's (because Subway sucks) and were pleasantly surprised with our experience - here's why! ++ Obo's is both a meat market, deli and store all in one - offering everything your heart could desire. Fresh cuts of locally sourced steak? All yours! All the deli meat you could want? Come on over! The store offers a variety of artisan crafts, local trinkets and groceries too! Because were there for lunch, we opted for house made sandwiches in the deli. ++ The sandwich menu - although small - is awesome, with the option to build your own sandwich too. I settled on the Italian which was piled high with allllll the meats, cheese, hot peppers and drizzled with balsamic dressing on a massive house made bun, while my husband settled on the traditional ham sammie which was just as delicious! I was far too hungry to take a picture of mine, so a picture of my husbands will suffice! ++ Although more expensive, you get what you pay for. The quality of meat supersedes everything in the area, as they freshly cut the meat on the spot for each sandwich. YUM! +/- The service in the deli was pretty harsh. Although the women behind the counter were busy and made their way through the line of customers, they were NOT friendly. The woman who greeted us just starred our way and then said "what do you want!" with a frown on her face. We quickly ordered and got out of the way, which proved to be a good decision. Having worked in the service industry, I get being in the weeds, but being nice goes along way. - No one, I repeat, no staff members in the deli were wearing masks or abiding by any social distancing. Even most guests who were waiting in line to pay weren't wearing masks, which is bonkers to me. Only the cashiers wore masks and one made a polite comment to my husband and me as we were the only customers rocking them. Yikes! Despite the lack of COVID measures, I'd return for another bomb to-go sandwich at Obo's.

We were staying in the area for a family reunion and it was nice to have this little market nearby…read more We were able to find everything we needed. Some family members ordered a very large order of fried chicken from the deli and it was delicious! Very crispy and moist, it was a big hit with our group of 42 people. We were a little shocked when we arrived that there was a gas type substance in the air of the store that looked like smoke when we arrived. It smelled awful and burned our eyes and lungs. I heard that they released something from the floor of the store and it released some sort of gas into the air. I'm not sure why it was necessary to do that during business hours but we couldn't get out of their quick enough.

Four times I know of, today being $2.18 higher than the advertised price on the sign right by the product. Customer service is more of a disservice. Many cashiers are cold and unwelcoming, rarely smiling or greeting you other than a sentence fragment of "reward number?" Produce is often very close to spoiled. Many meat products are the same, not very fresh. I have thrown away meat before because it smelled pretty strong once I got it home and opened it up. Overall the prices are high and they justify that since this is a "remote" area according to one employee that overheard me talking about high prices. He seemed almost offended I dared to comment on high prices and spent a few minutes scolding and informing me on the matter. Tourists may think no big deal, but it sure stinks when this is our only option as a resident in Montpelier. After today's experience, I will no longer shop at any Broulim's no matter how convenient they may be and I will instead go to Soda Springs (22 miles) to an alternative store.
