My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.

Mike, and his colleague Scott, showed up in a nice large truck and loaded up quickly within an hour. They were efficient and took great care to make sure that none of our items were damaged. The move was from Rocky River to Vermilion and within 3 1/2 hours, everything was deposited in the new location with care and attention. I was really pleased with all of the communication I had with Mike in person and electronic. They were repeatedly willing to move things around in the new location to suit our needs and that was really nice to see. It was a full service move and I cannot recommend accurate moves by Mike enough!

1 Star -- A Terrible Moving Experience…read more I cannot recommend this moving company. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The movers were rude, unhelpful, and unnecessarily rough with our belongings and our new home. At one point, we asked one of the movers to please be more careful with our walls. His response was, "What do you want to do, this yourself?" That response was incredibly disrespectful and completely unacceptable, especially when we were simply asking them to take reasonable care of our home. There were also significant problems with our belongings. A number of items were misplaced, and some table legs were eventually found in the company's Lost and Found. When the company offered to return them, they were left at our old address rather than our new address, which was yet another unnecessary problem we had to deal with. Even more frustrating, the movers left a substantial amount of our belongings at our old address, telling us they didn't have enough room in the truck. This included heavy items such as our treadmill and rugs. We were then forced to spend several additional hours and our own money hiring another moving van to retrieve and move the items ourselves. When I contacted the company about receiving some compensation for the problems we experienced, I was asked to sign an NDA agreeing not to speak negatively about the company in exchange for receiving some money back. I found that extremely troubling. After such a poor experience, I believe customers should be able to honestly share what happened to them rather than being asked to agree to silence in order to receive compensation. Moving is stressful and expensive enough without having to deal with careless handling of your belongings, items being left behind, belongings being misplaced, disrespectful behavior, and then additional out-of-pocket expenses to fix problems that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. I would be extremely hesitant to use this company again and would strongly encourage anyone considering them to look carefully at other options. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had, and I cannot recommend this company based on what happened to us.

They did not use bubble wrap, or even packing paper. They threw delicate items, literally threw, I saw them, throwing them into boxes and just broke our PS5, our clocks, anything electrical. Anything delicate was damaged. They left doors broken in our new house. It was awful. I don't understand how they could be a professional company. When we went back to our original house, we found that they just left like 1/3 of our belongings were still there. But thrown around randomly on the floor just a complete mess, not packed. Just a horror story. We spent the next day trying to recover our stuff from the old house. And clean up after them. Thank God we moved the PC and laptops ourselves.

They moved me from Lakewood to Fairview Park, Ohio, at a speedy rate, but were very cautious and professional. I was given a time range and they arrived within it friendly and ready to go. Prior to the move, they called a couple of times to confirm locations, prices and optional add-on's. They were able to supply me with a cover for my mattress (that I got to keep!) and proper care for some more fragile items. I was absolutely blown away by their help! Thanks again guys.

I would NOT recommend this moving company…read more The move started out well. They arrived on time and initially seemed professional. Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly. First, the movers started putting items on the truck that I had clearly set aside to throw away, including a dryer. After loading things that weren't supposed to be moved, they then told me they were running out of room on the truck. Once we arrived at the new place, the pace became extremely slow. There were four movers, but at times it seemed like only one person was actually going back and forth upstairs and putting furniture back together. I was told they were using a "chain line," but whatever system they were using was not efficient. The move ended up taking two hours longer than expected, which added approximately $500 to my bill. Even worse, they broke my daughter's TV, which she had only owned for about four months. When I tried to file a claim, I repeatedly called and was told that a manager would contact me. I kept speaking with the same person, John, who would act surprised each time that no manager had called me back. Eventually, they stopped answering my calls altogether. As we've continued unpacking, we've discovered another serious issue. The TV stand had been taped closed with belongings inside of it, but when it arrived at the new place, those items were missing and the TV stand was empty. My biggest problem isn't just that things went wrong during the move--it's the company's lack of accountability afterward. Items were damaged, other belongings appear to be missing, my bill increased by hundreds of dollars because of the additional time, and my attempts to resolve the issues have been ignored. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend them. If something gets damaged or goes missing, don't expect them to make the claims process easy or to take responsibility.

We also told him we would take the $10,000 of insurance for $100...a no brainer as I said to him. The movers called him the day of the move, and he stuck cardboard between the glass. They moved it without disassembling it and damaged it. I filed a claim only to be told I did not have insurance. Turned out I did not realize it was not included in my quote...yes, my fault but the salesman apparently did not own up to his error. They should have disassembled the table as agreed. Had they taken time to look at it, they would have found that it was easy to do so. The table was worth well over $2,000. The offered me $120 and agreed to come up to $200. Not good business and I do not recommend them!

This, combined with the price, would have warranted a five star review. However, they never showed up. Not only that, but they ignored repeated phone calls on the day of. We ended up having to find other movers at the last minute, which was difficult and expensive. If they had called me even once to say that they would be late or not coming, we could have compensated.

My husband had to help them with a lot of things they smelled as if they were drinking before they showed up. They also broke my dryer that was a month old and they never said they broke the knob off my brand new dryer. When I discovered later on I called them and they were so drunk and rude to me they wouldn't let me have there insurance information or anything. They said they would pay for it out of pocket and they never showed back up. My husband then called them and they were so rude and out rate to him as well.. thank God the dryer was still covered under warranty and now we are moving again and I'm looking for movers and came across there name I decided to write this review so know one else goes through what we did.....
