It's in a trendy area and upscale although we came dressed mor casual. It's on the second floor and has amazing ambiance. We ordered the dynamite roll, crispy spicy tuna, truffle salmon, miso soups, caterpillar roll and tuna truffle roll. The truffle roll has to be one of the most amazing rolls I've ever eaten, if you like truffle of course. Everything else was amazing as well. The dynamite roll was great and I highly recommend literally everything we had. They also have great drinks, we had a mexcal maracuja drink and lychee martini as well as hot sake. For dessert we chose the tres leche cake and the truffle ice cream cream brûlée. If I say I have never tastes anything as amazing probably almost in my life as this truffle ice cream!! I know if we would have gone to a restaurant of this magnitude in the states it would have cost double of what we paid here. The service was excellent and Samuel and everyone was so attentive.

Wrong, the food was great, beautiful people seated everywhere and friendly, warm servers. Smoking was allowed in the restaurant. Even though none of our party smoked, the tables were spaced far apart enough that it wasn't an issue. Very, very good sushi/sashimi. Not Masa, Nobu or Morimoto good, but could hold its own amongst most other well regarded Japanese restaurants. Glad we were able to find this so close to our Polanco hotel. If you're looking for good sushi/sashimi in CDMX, you won't be disappointed here.

Let's just say that Chinese food is not easy to find in Mexico City if you're not looking for a buffet. We finally came across Ah-Un which is basically pan Asian. As a general rule of thumb, don't ever eat sushi at a place that has no customers. If the fish is not moving then you're asking to be sick. There was also a smell coming from the bar which smelled like old alcohol. It's not fish but it gives you an idea of the cleanliness. We decided to get the katsu don and the pad Thai. Two cooked dishes that seemed like a safe choice. The pad Thai wasn't bad. It tasted like the dish should taste and was a large serving. The katsu don was not as good. The katsu was dry and the rice was tasteless. I mean it didn't even taste like white rice. It just wasn't good at all. At the end, we were just glad to eat something other than tacos.

Both were super fresh and delicious but not spicy at all. I also ordered the noodle soup which ended up being gigantic but the broth and noodles were perfect for a rainy day. They have a full bar including featured cocktails and beer and wine. The service is prompt and the food was high quality. You may think you shouldn't eat this while in Mexico given it isn't Mexican food but I think you should! Tasted just as authentic as a Japanese Restaurant in California!

Didn't opt for the omakase since my husband thought it was too much food for him. A la carte it was. We enjoyed all the food. Udon was great! I prefer udon over ramen since I like a cleaner and lighter broth. The portion was smaller than I expected, more like an appetizer size than an entrée size. Only nigiri I didn't quite liked was the geoduck, it had a fishy taste still (think aji). Would definitely return on a future trip.

The quality of the food, I'd say, is pretty good too. We started with a persimmon tofu salad with crab, shrimp, and asparagus - very clean flavor, refreshing. Then an assortment plate with mackerel & ika, trout roe, seaweed-marinated egg, matsutake mushroom salad, cactus nigiri (yes, you read that right!), and wagyu cake. I was not impressed with the wagyu... it was lacking in flavor and a little on the chewy side. The cactus nigiri was interesting! I like that Chef Asai is trying to incorporate Mexican culture into his dishes. I've never had cactus before, but it had that crunchy texture and plant-like taste. We then had a sashimi course - akami, hotate, and striped jack all on one plate. I think I would have wanted these separate instead of all on one plate, but maybe that's just my preference. We also had wagyu shabu-shabu, which I enjoyed! Overall, it was a mix of good and decent, and I enjoyed our lunch here! Interesting take on kaiseki experience.

We make it a family tradition to eat sushi in every city we visit. Being in Polanco, Mexico City's…read moretrendiest neighborhood, we assumed we were about to experience sushi greatness. To be fair--the quality of the fish was five stars. No complaints lthere.Unfortunately, that's where the smooth horse ride became a donkey ride. The service was a solid two stars. Our waiter was clearly trying his best, but this restaurant desperately needs another waiter. We waited so long for sauces that by the time they arrived, we were already halfway through the rolls. It took about 20 minutes for the first dish, and we ordered what we normally order for my wife and I and our 3 teenagers six dishes for five, which then arrived one... at a... time... with long, awkward pauses in between. The specialty rolls are teenie Weenie and very skimpy on the fish. One of my sons wanted another roll but not willing to wait. Best roll of the night was the Alaska roll--credit where credit is due. Now let's talk money. I don't mind spending on good sushi. I expect to. But $3,950 pesos ($232 USD before tip) for five people and leaving less full than a typical sushi night in Los Angeles? That one hurt. Back home, we eat for the same price--and we leave satisfied. Upside: only three green teas were ordered, but they were excellent, high-quality, and probably the most consistent thing all night. Bottom line: amazing fish, painfully slow service, small portions, and a bill that made us double-check the exchange rate. If you come here, drink a full glass of water beforehand to feel satiated--or bring a snack. I wanted to give them a three but I always do with my wife wants and she said give them a four to be nice.
