Wne to lunch with a friend and she suggested OB's to meet. I arrived at 3:15 and had to seat myself (which is totally fine) but I dont think the server knew I was there. It took her a few minutes before she came by. The table next to me was another couple the lady seemed upset complaining loudly that her food was taking extremely long. The gentleman had his burger delivered but waited for the ladies food to arrive. The server came by a cpl of times to let them know that the pizza was coming that the kitchen was running slow. She came by to let me know she'd be back I told her to just bring me a drink that I was waiting on a friend. The table waited another 10 minutes and the food finally arrived. As a chef a burger takes longer to cook then a pizza but that's just my observation I know sometimes things can happen and th awww t could of been the situation. My friend finally arrived we ordered drinks and though the server seemed a bit in a hurry we asked her to take our food order as well. The wait wasn't excruciatingly long but it was a bit longer then I would expect being an off peak time. But once the food arrived i was very satisfied. The wings were excellent and the burger wa as good, my friend ordered pizza and I will say if you go to OB's and your not sure what to get definitely get the pizza!! It was awesome the crust was great and the toppings were not overwhelming but just right.for me it could of used a little more sauce but I'm a replant from NJ where pizza is a part of life for us. great food, cold beer. I love the diversity of beer and seltzer's they have. I don't typically drink hard liquor but I noticed they had a few top-tier brands of allocated whiskey. If you've never had the pizza here it's a must! I have been in the service industry for over 10 years and was extremely offended by our short experience here. No one greeted the door, so I eventually asked the bartender who saw us standing there without saying anything if we seat ourselves. You do. Then, a waitress walked over and said, "drinks?" in a tone as if we were inconveniencing her. Literally threw menus down and walked away. Slammed our two waters down and walked away with only having said one word to use at this point. I asked if they had straws and she still continued to walk away and shook her head as I had made a ridiculous request. We were coming to spend money in your establishment. Love these kinds of places because they make me feel young! I love a place where, at 43 (ahem), I can bring down the average age in the place by 10 years. Hell, it was noon and I'm guessing most of this crowd was there for dinner! I digress... Walked in the place with a group of coworkers and sat down. Waited about a hundred years for service because they were pretty packed and seemed to have two waitresses working. See above comment - I'm guessing most of their patrons weren't in a real hurry either. They have a Reuben but I didn't (gasp!) order it. Heres my flawed logic behind the situation - coworker D knows all of the best things to eat and usually suggests where we go so that he can have X meal there. Coworker S decided to go with Coworker D. Coworker T ordered off the grid. So I wasn't willing to assume the risk of food envy associated with not having what Coworkers D and S had, and they weren't interested in Reubens. Ordered the BBQ burger and fries. The burger was dressed with BBQ sauce, american cheese, and a sweet vinegar slaw. It was good, but the bun got all squishy with the slaw and it was difficult to eat without wearing, which I am prone to do. The fries were good, but pretty standard. I will go back to try the Reuben and try to get in there before the geriatric rush. "Geriatric rush" - teehee! read more

Other than that if you would like to hang out with defense attorneys who wreck their car hammered drunk it's a good place to go. 50 minutes to get served is unacceptable no matter who you are. One of my friends kept hearing good things about OB Clark's, and I figured they had a decent burger, so off we went. It's a typical sports bar, kind of dark but that didn't really bother me. The server was friendly and explained the special, a chopped steak with soup. She took our drink order and returned with perfect timing to take our order, which she did from memory (sometimes a red flag for me). I had the Steakburger with American cheese, and subbed fries for the menu's soup or slaw. Friend one had the Reuben with fries, and friend two had the breaded pork cutlet sandwich with fries. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. We three eat together about once a week, and we like having a few minutes to chat. When the food arrived, the server put each plate down in the correct place without asking who had what, and all three orders were correct. My burger was well cooked, and only the cheese was on the burger. The pickles, onion, etc. were on the side, as I like it. My only complaint was that the bakery bun could have been toasted a bit more. the burger's juices made the bottom bun a little soggy. Friend one loved his Reuben, which isn't as humongous as Lester's version, and he said it was just right. Friend two's pork cutlet was HUGE on the plate, but again, it turned out to be just the right amount of food. Our orders of fries were generous, hot, and tasty. BONUS! Free soda refills. Almost no one does that any more! All told, we were there for just about 40 minutes starting just before noon. There were maybe six other tables seated inside when we got there, and maybe four outside. Half a dozen more tables came in as we ate, so it looks like a good time to arrive. We decided we're definitely adding OB Clark's to our regular rotation. It's a little more expensive than we shoot for (we usually spend $7-10, and this was $13 each including tip), but it was well worth it! So three stars for the one experience, I'll add more if this is a typical experience! read more

I have been to O.B. Clarks a few times because it is very convenient if you live in Brentwood Forest. It's kind of small and the dirty wings are SUPER good. I ordered wings from them over the phone and they ended up giving me the wrong kind of wings. It was neat though because the server that night and the manager were apologetic and fixed my order right after I called them about the mix up. The negatives about this place are most of the workers. I ate in the pub maybe 4 or 5 times and the waitresses and bartenders looked like they hated being there and don't really even look at you. The time I sat at the bar to get drinks, the bartender was flirting with her boyfriend the whole time, and whenever she did take my order, she gave me attitude when I asked her questions like if they had mango rum or pucker. My boyfriend usually leaves a very generous tip wherever we go, but he gave her a small tip because of the way she treated me. If I were him, I would've given her no tip! read more

It was a late Saturday afternoon around dinner time, and the man and I were both craving wings. The Post in Maplewood has become our usual wing spot, but we decided we wanted something different. Being the Yelper I am, I hopped on, and searched for wings in the area. With a few glowing reviews of the wings, we decided on OB Clark's. The hot wings, were, in fact - hot! And delicious. We also split the fried grouper sandwich, was also really good. Definitely reminded us of our vacation in Florida over Christmas, where we ate grouper til our pants didn't fit. Overall, the place was just "meh", though - I liked it because it wasn't crowded, and wasn't smoky (guess we came early?) - but their menu wasn't very exciting, and neither was their beer selection. I love Yelps explanation of what 2 stars should mean "Meh. Ive experienced better." Thats a perfect description for OB Clarks food. My dad and I used to meet here for lunch all the time because location was convenient. We honestly said after ever meal, "Meh, it was ok." I actually think I have had every single thing on the menu looking for something I like. The burgers are just burgers, the other sandwiches arent very good, the pizza is your run of the mill cheese on crakcer STL pizza, and the specials arent very special. With that being said...by 11:30 this place is packed every single day. Dont get me wrong, I have not spit out my food in disgust or anything...its literally just a convenient place to get out of the office and eat lunch. I get it though...its a neighborhood restaurant/bar with alot of TVs. Unless you want to head up to Clayton there is really nothing else around OBs. If your looking for a unique meal/experience go elsewhere. If you simply want to meet someone for a quick lunch, you could do worse. read more

Growing up in Brentwood, I feel its my job to review this place. I'm totally biased as my experiences at OBs is mostly memories with my friends and watching unforgettable Cards game. BUT, I do think the food is above average, especially the hot wings. Get them dirty style and you'll never go back. Their pizza is OK, even though I have out of town relatives say its the best in STL...dont really agree but okkaaaayy. The waitresses are pretty rude though. They don't really have a dress code either so you're not sure if you're bothering some prosti-teen or an actual server. But, they make it clear you're bothering them so its a moot point. Typical sports bar, located just south of the Galleria Mall. It's actually quite spacious, with a large Anheuser-Busch-friendly bar, competent bar staff, and really good hot wings. I'm so happy their hot wings are actually hot, and served with carrots, celery and some bleu cheese. I hate dipping my wings in ranch. That's just... unnatural. I certainly don't think of this place as a haven for great, in-depth conversation, but it's definitely somewhere to go to watch a ball game... Or chow down on some wings. read more

O.B. Clark's Restaurant and Bar is a nice bar in Brentwood right off of Brentwood Blvd. There you can enjoy a tasty barbecue steak burger. Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger that will fill you up, and while being filled up, you can enjoy the great sports teams that St. Louis has to offer. Now, I'm not so much a television sports watching kind of fan because most of the time I really only want to watch a game in person, other wise I loose interest very quickly. So, most of the time I just don't watch the games, but the times I do, I enjoy watching them with a crowd and at O.B. Clark's that crowd is always provided. There I can cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals or the Blues in hopes that my good cheer will some how or another coincide with the good fortunes of the universe and allow them to win. O.B. OB Clark's is a staple in mid-St. Louis County and your typical bar, nothing fancy, nothing great, nothing bad. The bar is essentially divided into two sections, the bar area and a seating area. When you walk in you feel like you are in someone's basement as the ceiling is low and the decor limited and generic. The beer selection is modest (mostly domestic) and the food selection limited to bar food. The food itself isn't bad, just don't go here expecting to get a gourmet meal. I have been here dozens of times and always found the service to be mediocre. As with most neighborhood bars, the bar is full of regulars and can feel a little territorial for outsiders; at least initially. The crowd is generally sports and male oriented but overall friendly and laid back. The owners are big Blues fans so if you're looking to catch a Blues game (or hockey game in general) you will be satisfied with your choice. read more

Went there for the first time last week, on a Sunday. We got there around 10pm, and there weren't many people there, but it was Sunday; we weren't expecting it. The waitress was very friendly, and brought us our food and drinks pretty quickly. I ordered a Rum & Coke, and felt it was way too strong. Won't be doing that again. My other complaint was that they only appear to have Budweiser products. While I love Michelob Ultra to death, I enjoy Blue Moon, as well. We ordered the hot wings and they were delicious. Since I live in Brentwood Forest, I figured that I should try this spot out since it is so close and might be a good place to watch a game. They have a fair amount of TVs in the place and had every game on that I would want to watch so that part was nice. I was a little disappointed with their selection of beers on tap but I was able to find something that I liked so I wasn't too upset about it. The food here is your typical bar food. Some stuff is fried, some is greasy but it is all pretty good, especially for the price. I ended up splitting an appetizer, having 2 beers and an entree for around $20 with tip which isn't bad at all. I ordered the patty melt which was a typical melt and nothing that special worth noting. I'm not saying it was bad, in fact it was pretty good, just nothing that you would have to have. Honestly, though, the food here is way better than anything I have ever had at Lester's and the fries don't come out cold. Also, my service was actually really good, although my waitress was indistinguishable from a guest so when she first approached our table we weren't sure what was going on. Maybe I caught them on a good night, but I have nothing bad to say about the service which seems to be a common problem for people. In the end, this is a decent place to watch a game with very reasonable prices and good food. Sounds simple, but finding all 3 of those things seems a lot harder than it should be. I haven't been to OB Clarks in a while and my wife and I were shopping in the area and it was great to sneak in for lunch. I remembered the wings were always great so we ordered them and they were just as I remembered...awesome. We both had the "special" which was meatballs in a red sauce on shell pasta. Food was excellent, the service was excellent. The only thing is for some reason, I prefer to be seated by a waitress/hostess instead of seating myself...and the smoking is unpleasant. Also, the creepy parking lot guy still weirds me out and makes me uncomfortable every time I eat there...I think I can park in a spot without assistance for lunch, I know it gets crowded in the evening, but this was lunch. Lose the smoking, have one of the waitresses seat me and give the creepy parking lot guy a day off and you got 5 stars! read more

OBs is a classic St Louis sports bar. A little dated, tiny bit crowded, but for watching local sports, drinks and bar food, pretty darn good. I have been gone from STL for a few years but when visiting always meet friends. This time around in addition to cocktails, had the hot wings and a sausage and pepperoni pizza. Wings we meaty and cooked well. Sauce was exactly what it should have been. I am a lover of thin crust STL pizza and the make a good one. Square, crisp bottom, a bit burnt on the edges. This is an establishment that I have frequented a lot. All my friends and family go here on a regular basis. The food is good and priced very well and so are the drinks. I have eaten quite a few things off their menu. My favorite is the grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with provel cheese and fries. It was so big I had to take the other half home. Another really good sandwich was the Open faced Beef. It was enough for two people to eat and be totally full. Some of the wait staff is really fast, effective and friendly. And some of the staff is not. They have been there forever so it is what it is. The owners are really nice and always willing to make things right in the event that your order is messed up. I personally have never had a problem with their food. It's the service of the wait staff that is hit or miss. It doesn't stop me from coming back because it has TV's everywhere so you can see the game (whatever you are watching) at any angle. They are great for take-out too. Yikes disgusting!! First time here and tables are dirty with food smashed on them food smashed on floor and napkins and I don't know what on floor. Moved to 2 tables before we found a reasonably clean table. I was handed a menu with stains and surprisingly food smashed on it. Our waitress has 3 tables and keeps disappearing. Oh wait she's at the bar talking it up with the bartender. All I know is if the tables and floor looks like this NO WAAAY am I eating here.
