I would recommend Frank Arena,Occupational Therapist, to any of my friend and acquaintances, I was…read morehaving complications from overuse of my hands and had tendonitis in my arms. Frank was able to find deficiencies in movement I wasn't aware of. We worked the issues with manipulation, strength and flexability training with all the best equipment in the office. Frank appears to be a little OCD about cleanliness and I appreciate this quirk. At the end of each session we finished with a massage and the feel good machine. I was able to avoid surgery because of the work we did. Frank gave me the best advice to purchase splints to wear at night. The splints keep me from sleeping with my hands and wrists in unhealthy positions. It has changed my life by raising my sleep score by 30pts daily. My advice is, at the least, try whatever Frank tells you to do. It will benefit you immensely.

The therapist job is to show you what's best for your injury and how it affects your recovery. Each therapist has a unique perspective and skill set. I'm not here to say who did what, because they're all special. I can write a book on each and every Therapist I have encountered within a two year period. I THANK GOD for the people who I have worked with. I wish they gave you something to talk about and share with others. I told a therapist, that every now and then. Instead of a ( Good Job) I would love a hand clap, or a graduation gift. Thanks PURE TOCHER, for the ones who know me, knows I love too joke around.

I tried explaining my pain which was more walked over and I was told we are going to look at my tendon. Regardless the pain I was talking about was rendered mute and now we are moving on to my tendon which causes pain as well, but not the most painful. When I say my shoulder joint feels loose and cracking that's what I mean. If we don't figure this out or the Dr look into this morning, I'm getting a second opinion for sure. Oh and I've been doing PT since before surgery, because that was going to fix it first. It's May 23 and the pain is worse than before.

Received notification that OrthoTexas was transferring to BSW, on 08/01, and to log on to the BSW system, to pre-register. Tried to do this, but BSW system couldn't verify my details after several attempts. Turned up 30 minutes early for my appointment to complete the paperwork, as I could not pre-register online. Receptionist informed me that they no longer accepted Humana Medicare Advantage PPO. Informed receptionist that I had a new insurance, Humana Gold Plus Diabetes and Heart (HMO CSNP). She then informed me that as from 08/01 OrthoTexes no longer accepted ANY form of Humana insurance. Why couldn't OrthoTexas have informed me that they no longer accepted Humana insurance? It is not complicated for the computer program to throw out a list of their Humana patients and then send them an automated email telling them their insurance is no longer accepted. This is pure incompetence and lack of interest in their patients interests. I am glad I am retired and did not have to take time off work to be informed that they no longer accepted my insurance.

My visits have been great when it comes to the PTs and PAs but that's after you are met with Front…read moredesk staff like Christina. She is super efficient in getting her job done but lacks compassion and empathy. As a patient, things happen and if a pt gives as much notice as possible, that's not signs of a difficult patient to whom I'd have to "put in place". I asked for a copy of policy to make sure I follow policy and she decided to print out another copy highlighting the scheduling policy and highlighting once again where I signed after I had already received the copy I asked for. Like geez lady I apologized and am trying not to make the same error and she rubbed in my face. Emotional regulation is important for someone in charge of "patient care" and while I was remorseful and paid my fee for rescheduling less than 24 hrs, Christina was extremely passive aggressive and when told how she made a patient feel in clinic, she had 0 remorse or compassion. Impact vs intention especially when it comes to patient care. That's not someone that I'd like to see/deal with when coming into a clinic of great PTs & PA's. Again, if you want her to tackle an insurance company, she's your girl. If you want to be spoken to like a human being, go elsewhere. Very curt, insensitive but hey she'll get things done.

She understood my situation and did everything she could to fit me into the schedule that same day. I truly appreciated how caring and welcoming she was during a stressful time. The rest of the staff and assistants were also very patient, understanding, and attentive to what each patient needed. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout my visit. Dr. Jodi was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. She took the time to explain my injury, answered my questions, and made me feel confident in my treatment plan. I am very grateful for the excellent care I received from the entire team. Thank you for making such a difficult day much easier.
