Chris Miller, MD - Dr. Miller walking with patient days after surgery!

Dr. Miller and the entire staff are simply terrific! He was referred by my GP (Dr. Brad Gates)…read moreand it was one of the best decisions I've made to make an appointment. Dr. Miller has a very easy going and gentle personality..., which is intangibly important to me and my wife! My initial reason for seeing him was due to my left shoulder causing me pain. Ironically, I had a skiing accident that resulted in a tear of my MCL just prior to seeing Dr. Miller initially. After an MRI, he treated the MCL tear and shoulder pain with PT initially and didn't rush me into making a surgical decision. In addition, he gave me a cortisone shot for the shoulder which released the pain. The MCL healed nicely without any further procedure being required; however after 6 months the shoulder did get worse due to a separate but freak accident, so we decided that surgery was the only option that would relieve the pain permanently. This was the best decision, because the arthroscopic procedure revealed a massive tear of the supraspinatus which required 6 anchors instead of the normal 4 to reattach it properly. The entire experience has been outstanding and thankfully, the pain has been minimal. You can probably tell I really think the world of Dr. Miller and would recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic care mostly because of his extensive experience and thorough approach.

I chose TMI because I called a dozen places to check on PRP injection costs for my tennis elbow…read more This was, by far, the least expensive clinic. When I went in for consultation, it was hectic with people running and a full lobby. The doctor ensured me that it's not usually this chaotic as they just transitioned over to a new system that day. OK, let's see how it goes next time. Dr. Handecki's (sp) assistant seemed rushed as he talked fast and moved faster. The x-ray was speedy and simple. There was a miscommunication between the doc and I because I asked for a PRP injection but he decided to give me a cortisone shot and didn't really explain it to me. The numbing spray worked within seconds so I couldn't feel him prodding the needle inside my arm. That was nice. Do note that the cortisone shot here is slightly more expensive than other places, but I would say the procedure is more effective because he scraped at the bone to promote blood flow. I attended three sessions of physical therapy and that was enough for me. I saw Josh the first time and he was training a student. Instead of focusing on my ailments, he would question her and let her do most of the work. She didn't really know what she was doing and he wasn't monitoring her for the most part. The second time was with a different PT and it seemed as if she made up exercises on the go. There wasn't a set agenda for me when I walked in. On my third visit, I was handed off to four different PTs. What was the point of that?? I didn't get to build a rapport with anyone as they kept bouncing me around. I will say that everyone is pretty nice and easy to talk to. I think that's imperative because you're in the open room for an hour each session. Also, it is easy to book PT appointments and they are never late getting you in the door even if you show up early. Alright, I came back five weeks later for a follow-up and it was still nuts. Not as many people in the waiting room as the first time, but I still had to wait 45 minutes before seeing the doctor just to say, "OK, you're good." I thank him for helping me heal in the meantime, but he is booked to the brim.

Worst and most unprofessional experience I've ever had from any doctor. I was referred here from my…read moreprimary doctor to review my MRI. When TMI called me to schedule my appointment, they said they were booking me in their Dallas location. I asked them for the address, and they said "it's on Central Expressway." I thought it was a little weird that they wouldn't just convey the physical address to me, but they told me it would be on the intake paperwork I'd receive via email. Ok, I thought. I go to fill out the intake paperwork the day before my appointment and notice it says the address is in Frisco. I thought, "Oh, great, they scheduled me at a different location." Their signature line had their Frisco address, the intake paperwork had the Frisco address, and their phone service only mentions Frisco or Arlington. Cut to this morning. I get to the appointment an hour early because I figured I'd answer some emails while I waited for my appointment. I suddenly receive a text from TMI prompting me to check-in online to save time. I go through the lengthy process and receive a confirmation at the end that shows an address on Central Expressway. What??? I call confused and ask them why this is the first time I received the correct address after I was already at the Frisco location since that's what ALL of the information they sent me listed. They confirm I'm supposed to be at their Dallas office (which is only 5 miles from my house and 20 miles from where I currently drove!). I then end up being 10 minutes late to an appointment I was initially an hour early to because I had to drive a whopping 40 + unnecessary miles round trip after it was all said and done. To add insult to injury, I was obviously furious when I arrived to the office and started to tell the front desk personnel what I experienced. Another woman chimed in and interrupted me, claiming I can complain to her. After which, the first woman made a rude hand gesture indicating she wanted nothing to do with my issue. As I'm speaking to the woman who interrupted me, so interrupts me again until I had to tell her that I was still talking! I showed her the email I received that lists the Frisco location, and the intake paperwork which lists the same. I explained that if it happened to me, it will happen to another patient. She promptly blamed the "software" they use since it's "new." Well, I hate to tell you, but the software has nothing to do with your employee's error. The software doesn't change the signature line with your address in your email. The software doesn't alter the address you provided on your PDF intake forms. I will never go back here and will certainly never recommend this place to anyone. They could care less that they screwed up my morning and had me driving all over town. The employee that initially blundered this entire thing will never be disciplined because they don't even provide their name on the email you receive. This will happen over and over with no accountability.

From the start, the receptionist made me wait 15 minutes just to check in because the patients ahead of me couldn't decide on an appointment. While that wasn't her fault, I was already late into my appointment time and had to step around them just to be acknowledged. Once I was finally seen, I made it clear that I was in a lot of pain, but they refused to provide any medication to help manage my symptoms. When it was time for X-rays, they didn't even have a wheelchair for me, and when I requested one, I was met with attitude. I also asked for a lead apron for the X-ray, as I didn't know if I was pregnant, and the tech tried to talk me out of it instead of just giving me one. After I insisted, I overheard her talking about me behind the door to the doctor, calling me 'a handful'--all because I asked for basic accommodations. Completely unprofessional. To make things worse, they told me the boot I had was wrong, but they didn't have one that fit me, so they told me to go buy my own on Amazon. No real treatment, no solutions, just "figure it out yourself." And then they said I might need surgery, but they won't decide until I come back in a few weeks--based on what kind of boot I buy for myself and how I wear it. I left no better off than when I walked in. No pain relief, no proper medical equipment, and the overall attitude from staff was dismissive and unhelpful. This place doesn't actually provide care--they just push you out the door with no real help. Avoid this office if you want to be taken seriously as a patient.
