I will begin by stating this is more of a medical beauty facility, I had a hard time making an appointment because everytime I called I was getting hung up on. I finally scheduled this and the day of the appointment I got a call from a lady and she asked "will you still be needing your appt for the facial today?" It's no big deal but I feel it should've been asked differently. Anyhow, I arrived to the location and it's in a strip to the far left.. I almost missed it. I went into the place and it's more of a med center feel, does not feel like a spa.. it is super clean and they have nice seating. After I checked in, I was taken to a small conference room to fill out e-documents for this facial. The Ipad function is a nice touch however their system is not user friendly, took awhile for the next pages to load. I've been to many spas in my lifetime and this was a lot of "no liability consents" I felt as if I were to have surgery. Anyhow, I was given a tour of the place and I thought this was a good touch.
I was taken to the room to meet the facial therapist.. the room looks like a medical room/procedure room. I was assigned to Ximena I believe, anyway she takes pictures before and after.. I was waiting to get a robe but I didn't get one. Every facial I've had give you a robe, I thought It was odd but you're fully dressed under a fuzzy blanket (nice touch) The facial begins and it's all from a machines suctioning your face and the product it seems.. the entire time the therapist is explaining the process and I was expecting more of what the product was/how it affects your skin/what could help my skin/the regular questions/comments. But her explanation was very vague, "it's cleaning" "it's going to created dirty water" etc. So after the suction for my extraction I was shown the water that contained all my blackheads - this was cool. it did a great job cleaning, however something I had a hard time ignoring was the fast that during my treatment, the door kept opening and closing and I could hear someone in the room shuffling and opening cabinets. This is when I realized this business is not intended as a spa, in an actual spa no one should be coming in and out of your room.. turning on lights, making noise, it was odd. The restrooms were super cute and plush, if they want the spa feel they should follow the restroom vibe, add more plush, relaxation feel, light pastel colors, more privacy, robes and totes or baskets in the room for clients to place their belongings to create this ambiance. My face felt great afterward but I had to ask what I could or couldn't do after the facial and I thought it should be explained to me by the therapist. later that evening my face got some redness but it's gone down some, I could suggest they use more quality facial products (the SPF applied was very blotchy)
I give them props because you can tell they are really trying and working hard to make this place work and they are relatively new, they have some things to work on but I would def come back. Just wanted to give some feedback for the business and future clients. read more
