My daughter has been attending here for 2 years. The teachers are kind, but they dont teach. They give directions, but dont give immediate feedback to anyone. It's hard to see her progressing very far. For instance, I watched her do a flip wrong at her station for 5 minutes and the coach never said anything. Either the classes have too many students, or the coaches need to actually learn how coaching works, it's more than just saying directions. read more

We attended a free introductory class for 2yr olds to see if we would be interested in joining. I'm glad they presented that option as we would've joined otherwise and unfortunately, it would've been a mistake. It's a bummer because they're so close to our home. Anyway, upon arrival, the instructor didn't introduce herself to myself or my daughter or say anything at all throughout the entire class. I had to politely request her to teach my daughter as we naturally didn't know what to do. She mostly focused on the regular students and it was very uncomfortable. I was mostly sad for my daughter who was very excited. read more

My daughters learns gymnastics here. I am very dissatisfied with coach Paul's behavior and the way he behaved. He deliberately marked down my daughter's skill so that she cannot move to the next level and when I raised a question he talked rudely to me and disconnected the phone. Had our daughters birthday here and they did an amazing job! Staff was friendly, had her party set up with decorations to match the colors we picked. Along with help showing the kids the ninja course and gym. They even cleaned up afterwards along with providing the cutest goodie bags afterwards. Highly recommend for Birthday parties !! read more

Not very organized and very unprofessional. The man and woman at the front desk never know what they are talking about and are not very qualified. I suggest they receive more training. Everything is all over the place and the turnover rate with employees is crazy. Every time I talk to the front desk, no one is there. Seems like they can't keep staff to save their lives. My son has been going here for four months.. I was traveling for business and lost my debit card. My x brought my son and called me to update my card... Carrie the apparent gm pulled my son out over a $58 bill. I own a business and have 5k customers... things happen.. people miss payments.. lose cards, or heck even struggle with money.. but Carrie pulled my son out of class with 15 mins left and apparently said. "He can't finish it's your responsibility to pay" Obviously Carrie isn't the owner because she has no sense.. but if embarrassing a 3 year old over $58 is a business practice than this place is trash. read more

I bring my daughter here for their once a month sleepover. I think it's really great that they do this. She comes with one of her girl friends and has a great time. They bring their own sleep stuff, give them pizza, have movie time, play time and just let kids be kids. It's a great evening for the kids while the parents can have a night to themselves. read more

My 2 kids go here for classes and seem to enjoy the environment. Will not be renewing! I brought them on a Saturday for a $7 hour of do-it-yourself practice. Immediately after I paid, my 4 YO decided not to participate. So literally within that 3 minute timeframe I asked for a partial refund. They told me it wasn't possible but they would give me a credit. It was very easy for them to take my funds but apparently impossible to return them for services not rendered. It is my opinion that the female with the breast tattoo peering through her outfit hasn't taken a customer device class, or she might have actually smiled once during the entire interaction. Next I overheard her give someone else a refund. So I re-approached the counter and asked her how it was possible for them to get their money back but impossible for me to do the same. Then she completely changed her story and blamed me, saying I didn't provide her enough time to explain the refund process possibilities. That was untrue. She gave me no options to choose from. Then she asked for my card back yet never took possession of it to process the refund...? Now she is hopefully processing a refund, but can't do it for 48+ hours. Time will tell whether I get that refund, but I'm not holding my breath that she will do anything to help move this forward. Live and learn! My advice to them - provide the customer-facing staff with service training, teach them how to smile and interact properly with the folks who provide the money to fund their paychecks, and maybe dress in a professional manner. We don't all want our kids using your breasts to learn how to read English. read more

Doesn't allow boys over the age of 4 because they use "different equipment." I've seen the 5-6 and junior classes. Their is no equipment that is gender specific. If your looking for a gym that values children this is not the place for you. The trainers for the children were great. It's poor policy that leads to a terrible experience. read more

Let me start with saying there a few coaches that are kind and encourage the girls. Davina, Darrell, and Denise were the best! The front desk is very responsive and helpful. I think this an ok gym for recreational gymnastics. If your child is considering being on a competitive team I would go elsewhere. This facility isn't the cleanest. Our daughter had athletes foot multiple times and a fungus on the back of both of her legs that took 4 months to go away with a visit to her primary doctor and Dermotologist. Another issue was our daughters coach had fake long nails that sliced her ear when trying to catch her on the bars and we had to pay the medical bill to the Emergency room. The doctor told us they should have short nails and we relayed that message back to the staff and nothing changed. Most of the coaches didn't introduce themselves and how I knew about them was through my daughter. All I knew were their first names. I didn't know their experience or anything else. Some of the coaches would speak to my daughter in a sarcastic or harsh manner. Lastly, we purchased a $100 team leotard that they had available at the office that someone else returned. Our daughter tried it on over her leotard and it didn't fit. They would not refund us the money and we called the same day to return it. We were never told that we would be able to return it. We ended up donating it to another girl on the team. A few other issues we had were when asking questions about gymnastics that we didn't think to ask until about 4 years at this facility, such as: 1. What are the facility's safety policies and procedures? Are there regular safety and maintenance checks of the equipment? 2. How long has Oasis been in operation? 3. How often is the facility cleaned? Is the equipment ever cleaned? 4. What sort of insurance coverage does membership include, and what fees are necessary for full coverage? If any injury occurs does the facility guarantee full treatment, both upon occurrence and through rehabilitation? 5. Do the team coaches have Gymnastics coaching certificates? 6. Are the coaches trained in first aid and CPR? 7. How many years of coaching experience do the coaches have? In particular, experience coaching children. 8. Are lesson plans available to see? We never heard back and that was what made us finally leave. No one reached out to us to see why we left or ask what they could do better. Nothing. They did refund us our money though. The team moms and girls were very kind. They were the reason we stuck around for so long. read more

I was not sure if I was going to like this place in the beginning. So many kids everywhere, so many classes going on at one time and parents everywhere - seems like a recipe for disaster. I was very surprised and thankful to find that everyone there across the many various dance classes and gymnastics classes LOVE working with all these kids, acknowledges each of them for their talents and differences, provides positive encouragement and guidance with each of them along with tons of patience. I have 3 kids ages 4,10 and 12. My eldest has autism and was accepted and encouraged from day one. Coach Dee and Natalie teach my 10 year olds ballet class and are only concerned about helping her succeed at the speed she comfortably can. I was terrified this would be a place where kids were expected to compete ahead of their abilities and feel pressured. Instead they make us feel apart of a family and the kids and I are both making new friends as kids change out classes or start coming. Thank you for your ever attentiveness and positivity! read more

My daughter has been coming here for over a year. She has moved up in the classes quickly and loves it at Oasis! We have had some issues with our own schedule and they're always very helpful in getting her into a spot that works for us. Because of our scheduling fun, she has had multiple coaches. I have not yet met a coach that she does not like. They're all friendly and very good at what they do. When you stick with the program, it's amazing to see how everything progresses into the next class. Every little movement is a stepping stone for where they need to be next. The science behind their curriculum is fascinating! My daughter is more flexible, graceful, and coordinated than I ever thought possible. She is doing cheer with some friends at school and we have noticed such a difference. We have Oasis to thank for that!! read more

We have been coming here for about 4 years now and it's been a really great experience. Our daughter enjoys the classes and the instructors are kind. They updated the billing process which has been super helpful and are taking so many precautions during this pandemic. They offer multiple classes everyday pretty much all day and into the evening. As a working parent I am able to get home, get dinner on the table and make it to class knowing my child has the energy to enjoy it. I have seen a few instances with parents and instructors disagreeing but that's really anywhere you go. They will work with you and ensure that your child has the best, and safest, time enjoying gymnastics! read more

My children have been going here for 10 years. This is a family owned and a family-centered gym. They don't just push your children through the compulsory levels like cattle. They also don't have children scoring high 9s stay in a level just to jack up their scores at meets. They love the gymnasts and bring out their best abilities. They amaze me with the personal attention each gymnast receives. They give the gymnast a push when needed and the support when needed- just the right balance. Our Oasis family is truly remarkable and there is only one. Our top gymnast just competed in her first World Competition after being an elite gymnasts for less than a year. Out of 5 medals earned by the USA, Jade Carey came home with 2! Silver medals in both vault and floor! We are so proud of her and the gym she represents! read more

We have 3 kids at Oasis. 1 in the preschool side and 2 in the girls classes. Finding somewhere that could accommodate getting our kids on the same day and either at the same time or within an hour of each other has been awesome. We looked at other gyms that are closer to us, but found we would have to drive to the gym several days a week and with our older girls in other activities, it just doesn't work. I bet the office girls dread when I call in for a make up, but they are always helpful in getting us rescheduled on the same day if they can. Huge! Teachers are good. My little one loves Ms. Renee! And my older girls have had many of the teachers and have liked them for the most part. One had a personality clash with her coach last year, but it was easy to find another class for her with a different one. My other daughter likes that teacher just fine. Pricing is reasonable and overall we have been very happy. Cons: The lobby can be really crowded sometimes and there could be more seating, but overall not an issue. The big gym is hot in the summer, I think they only have swamp coolers, but my kids don t seem to mind, they bring their water and are on their second summer of taking classes, so I keep taking them. read more

Their competitive program is not, mostly because the owner, who also coaches, is a bit of a nut job who is set in her ways and refuses to see that what she is doing with the competitive kids is detrimental to them and to the J.O. program at the gym. Every single one of the team families we started with has already left, and for good reason Ugh...update! This is what happens when you don't yelp very often. This review was meant for a different gym, I have no idea how I happened to attach this tip oasis. We were at oasis for a very short while with one of my daughters. We left because we moved to the far west valley and left on very good terms . Oasis stands by their program and the coaches know their stuff. The owner cares deeply about the gym and about the girls. The rec coach (Renee) is amazing. The compulsory coach (orly) had a heartfelt connection Werth every one of the team girls. No complaints. read more

We've been to other gyms, and have been with Oasis for a few years now. I don't know about the competitive side, but they do offer a lot of recreational classes at all levels. There are a variety of time slots, so you can usually find a class to fit your schedule. Our daughter is progressing, I'd say a bit slower than I did with instruction, so they could help develop the kids more. Open gym is available for members ($7) and non-members on Saturdays from 12:30-2:30 and includes pizza. Not a bad deal if you want to drop the kids off and get some errands done! read more

This review is only of the intake and vibe I got from visiting as a walk in and inquiring about services. I came in to ask about joining and if there was a trial day I could some to see if my 2 yo would enjoy it. I was informed about refund policies (but bc of the other yelp reviews, I am suspicious of the refunding practices). She asked me some questions she would have been able to answer if she just looked at me and saw me holding my 2 yo. I guess I was expecting more enthusiasm and kindness directed towards the child. She was very unclear about the cost of the classes, which are supposed to be changing soon, but changing to what? I'd hope the owners would arm intake employees with this critical info. The people who were there watching their kids seemed very focused which is fine, but not very friendly. I can see it's a very competitive place, which is also fine. I think all of this helped me make the decision that it was not a fun place that my daughter would be cherished and learn about movement in a fun and relaxed way. read more

Our family came to Oasis, from another gym in the Valley just over a year ago, looking for something more. We found it! The commitment, discipline, training, experience, love that has been shown to our daughter is nothing less than the best. Our family had a difficult transition during the summer and the coaches motivated and encouraged my daughter through it. I believe with all of my heart that not only is growing as an athlete important here, but so is growing and developing young hearts and minds. We travel over an hour round trip twice a day/ four days a week to ensure out daughter is exposed to wonderful caring coaches with her best interest in mind. For recreational classes the gym is fine. Once your child enters the competitive program, things change. The finances are not transparent and the owner is unable or unwilling to tell you how the funds from fund raising are used and distributed. She has 100% volunteer or nothing policy for the "kick-back" and does not follow the policy with all clients or on a consistent basis. read more

Oasis is a fun place for small kids, but the classes on Saturdays are completely overbooked. There is not enough staff to provide appropriate attention, and kids don't get the guidance that they need. It's not worth the money to attend classes on Saturdays, unless you are looking for a zoolike atmosphere. Disappointing, and not worth the money. read more

Oasis gymnastics has been the home to both my daughters for 15 years now. I have entrusted them with my oldest daughters gymnastics future for 13 years and now my youngest daughter for 5 years. I have watched my children grow into self-disciplined, strong young women, who have a focus on life and their future. With as much time as my children spend in the gym, I have to credit those who spend the most time with them and that is their coaches, Orley Szmuch, Janine and Brian Carey. I have seen so much passion in these coaches as they work with so many children on a daily basis. Not only that but they have not raised their rates on us in 12 years. Where else can you find that! The gym is busy and lot of kids attend which only shows how wonderful they are!! Nothing wrong with being busy I say. The coaches are always willing to speak with me in a timely matter in a safe environment. If I had 15 kids, I would sign all of them up at once. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!!!!!
