I then asked what the difference would be between getting a particular cabinet color (not knowing what my options were or what would be in stock without a company name), and she said custom vs semi custom are just words and that it's all pretty much custom so it wouldn't make a difference. Upon asking a few more questions, she proceeded to tell me "I'm not sure if you saw, but our company has almost a 5-star review and that's almost unheard of". I didn't know what to make of it, but considering what some of their reviews mentioned, I felt as though we were going to get the same treatment. She said she'd get back to me by Friday with a quote and a visual of the kitchen updates-- it was Tuesday that day. We gave her a call that Friday afternoon to follow up and she insisted that the cabinet company was taking a while and that she'd get back to us by Monday the latest if not over the weekend. We waited and got nothing so my husband called her the following Wednesday without ever hearing from her. She continued to reassure us that she hasn't forgotten about us and that she'd get back to us by Monday for sure. It's now been 21 days and we got no updates or any communication from them. Once we signed, the work commenced within a few weeks and the same professionalism we saw in Jose carried through to his team. Pedro and Armando showed up on time each morning and took great care in the work they did as well as an amazing job cleaning up each and every day. Jose stopped by once or twice a day to review the work, ask us for our decisions on various areas of the project and make sure we were totally satisfied with the work being done. Jose, the proprietor came by daily to inspect the work with a great attention to detail to my desired specifications and even made small gestures to enhance things I had overlooked. His hardworking team was punctual, respectful and consistent. They worked very hard throughout the day and although I was teleworking upstairs, there was little to no interruption. In addition, the worksite was cleaned up each day which I appreciated. Johnny who served as a liaison was onsite the majority of the time and maintained good communication with me throughout the process. In addition, Jose was very good with providing updates and responding to any queries or requests that I had. The bathroom team did a wonderful job with the details including their tiling work and deserves praise. I hope to use them again to update our existing bathrooms and potentially in the kitchen. We purchased everything from Smoot Lumber, Lowe's, and Ideal Tile, and Smoot provided a few recommendations for contractors. We got a few bids, and decided to go with Finished Touches, LLC. We ended up being *really* pleased with their work. (My background is in residential real estate development, so I know good work when I see it...) There was a lot of attention to detail. When questions came up, the folks at Finished Touches would ask us - as opposed to just "guessing" and moving forward. They were doing our doors, so we gave them a key, and they were very trustworthy. They were also very respectful of our recently refinished hardwood floors, white basement carpet, and new kitchen appliances. Because our Smoot and Lowe's orders came in at different times, our schedule was pretty loose, but Finished Touches was okay with that. Finally, their prices were very reasonable, and aside from their awesome tile-guy, they self-performed their work. These are good guys - definitely check them out if you're doing renovations on your place. (Note: We did our own door and door hardware schedule, and paid for all items ourselves. Finished Touches picked up the items at the retailers for us.)
