My driveway is close 1/4 mile long and was loaded with cracks. I've lived in this location for 20 years and never sealed it prior to today. Gail is their scheduler and she kept me constantly updated with their schedule as rain prevented them from doing the job. (I do not believe the review below from the guy in Truro as there is no way these guys would go 2 hours one-way to the end of the cape from their home base to seal a driveway so I totally ignore that review and particularly the way these guys managed my job) They had to reschedule a couple of times because rain threatened the job and they will not come and work with any threat of rain. Gail was great and called me to confirm they would be here at 8 AM this morning and they were at work at 8 am on my driveway. They first applied hot tar to every crack in the driveway. Sounds like not a big deal but it was; I had cracks everywhere. Julian and his crew of four went to work with hot tar crack filler and then followed that with hand squeegee application of sealer. They do not spray paint the sealer and squeegee it on for total coverage. The driveway looks great and they worked hard for four hours to complete the job. Julian and his crew were very polite, contentious, and took great pride in their work.

Wayne was great working with the city for a permit and to bring my driveway "up-to-code". Him and his team worked two half days to re-do my driveway. First consisted of dig up and prep and the next was the repaving. They were a well oiled machine, very quick, thorough, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to my friends or using him again in the future.

After the…read morefirst winter, we noticed a significant puddling issue in one area of the new driveway during snow melts. We contacted the company, shared multiple pictures, and repeatedly asked them to address the problem. We specifically pointed out a visible hump in the driveway that appeared to be preventing the water from draining, including a photo where we circled the hump with the water collecting behind it. We also had a detailed discussion with the company about our concern with winter pooling and the importance of finding a long-term solution. We asked whether grading, additional substrate, or compaction could help prevent the problem. After multiple follow-ups, they eventually returned in the fall of 2025 to address the issue. Unfortunately, the same area has continued to collect water during winter thaws. We recently contacted them again, and they came out to look at the driveway. However, we were not able to come to an agreement on a solution. Their position was that the issue was due to seasonal ground movement and "mother nature." We understand that seasonal ground movement is a reality in New England, but our concern is that a completely new driveway should be designed and installed to provide reliable drainage under normal seasonal conditions at the property. The same area has collected standing water during winter thaws for two consecutive winters, even after the driveway was replaced a second time. We also don't see the same issue with the neighboring driveways. When the water freezes, it creates a sheet of ice in the driveway, which creates a significant slipping hazard. We are disappointed that the drainage issue with the new driveway has still not been resolved.

We bought our house 3 years ago in the dead of winter at a time when the snow cover concealed the abhorrent condition of the backyard and from the time the snow melted that spring our back yard has been a thorn in our side. The soil was dry and acidic without adequate light or water for good grass and as such were overgrow with crab grass, dandelions, poison ivy/oak, all with a subterranean network of root structures that was endless. We met with multiple landscapers and were impressed with Rich's competence and character and elected to go with him and Hawkeye. Rich's proposal was to excavate the entirety of the backyard, remove an ineffective drain pipe, install a sprinkler system, lay down 60-70 yards of loam and hydro seed the yard. Rich and his team were very hardworking and completed the project within a week of 8 hour days. Within 10 days of the end of work we were able to see sprouts of grass. Perhaps what has impressed me most has been how attentive Rich has been since the completion of the project. Soon after the seed was planted we experienced a heavy rain that washed some seed away and left a few dead spots in the grass, and when I emailed Rich about this he was at our house within a few hours reseeding the areas that needed it. We have since hired Rich for fall clean up and will plan to use him for regular services going forward. I would recommend Hawkeye Landscaping without hesitation.

My calls and emails were ignored; moreover, a few days after sending an email to them, I received a 'server bounce back' message. I called and left a message. No callback. I waited a week and a half and emailed again. A few days later, I again got a server bounce back message. I paid a lot of money to have the snow removed and then had to spend more money to have someone else fix it. I was not expecting this lack of accountability and lack of responsiveness from Bosworth Roofing. Very disappointing after the good work they did in replacing my roof.
