Basic common courtesy and manners are non existent. The work done was subpar even after they had workers come and "fix" the problems. stains left on our brand new carpet, gashes and scratches in walls from lack of care. Workers would lean and sit on our cars, leave their trash throughout our yard, they would use our toilet and then not flush. our mailbox is now lopsided because of whatever they used to run into backed into it. we have slops of paint on the brick of our house as well as the concrete. Yesterday they sent Vivianas Cleaning LLC to clean, and they did the worst possible job I can fathom. this person shoved our belongings into random places, lazily wiped off surfaces and then jammed a bunch of non dishwasher items into our already clean dishwasher and ran it AGAIN. The people this company contracts with are lazy, unreliable, unprofessional and overall I never want to deal with any of these people again. They will respond with excuses, so just find a different company and save yourself the headache. If you're looking for a professional company that cares and is proud of their work, this is NOT it.

What a *HUGE RELIEF* it was to find Marcos & Orlando of M Brothers Services! They were a lifesaver…read morefor me, in October, after I wasted 40-billable hours of my time on two other fence & gate companies (see those two reviews), for the first design-oriented home improvement project on my house, only for it to be a huge let-down & time-suck, and my being left & abandoned by the first company with a beautiful, unstained fence - not at all ready for winter/snow &/or spring/rain, and with a gate that was not HOA-compliant. Enter Marcos & Orlando - to save the day! And save me from my nightmare HOA. ;) I called Marcos & Orlando in a panic on Mon 10/23/23 ~4pm, and they were even willing to come rescue me that night, while working in Commerce City, if I had insisted. They are that loyal & hard-work oriented. Once we talked the job through, I realized what the second company had told me, about it only taking a couple/few hours to stain the gate & fence was untrue, and really this was an all day, or at least an all morning, job. Luckily, Marcos & Orlando were free the next day, Tue 10/24/23, so they planned to arrive first thing at my home in Denver from their home-base in Brighton. They gave me an ETA that evening, and met it, checking in with me via text the next morning, arriving within their time window, on time. I also love that they wanted to schedule an in-person consultation - to take measurements - with me, before doing the work, initially, when they replied to my Yelp project, as they were the first - and only - of all three companies, to ask me for measurements, and offer to assess the job & give me an in-person estimate, before beginning the work. Had the first company done this, like I'd hoped & wanted, we never would've encountered so many issues, in the first place. They completed the job in something like roughly 6-hours, proving the second company also didn't estimate time any better than the first, so had they arrived the day before I hired Marcos & Orlando, we would've ran out of daylight. Luckily, with M Brothers, they completed the job by early/mid afternoon, with enough time for me to QA it, as we made final touch-ups. They also remembered to unhook my hose, after using it, which was very considerate, which the first company failed to do, even after I asked. And they thoughtfully parked on the street - vs. in the alley / fire lane - like some of my neighbors' contractors do / have done, which blocks me in & prevents me from using/leaving my garage, or my boyfriend from entering/parking in my garage. This proves, once again, how conscientious, thoughtful, considerate, and detail-oriented Marcos & Orlando are, and what a pleasure they are with whom to do business. In addition to all the above, they also came back again the next day, on Wed 10/24/23, to again save my day - this time from the HOA! A very nosy neighbor had reported my gate to the HOA, and I was made aware of new rules & regulations that my HOA had not published/shared on their iOS version of their website, so I learned late in the day on Tue 10/23/23 that my new gate was not HOA compliant. I shared the HOA rules & regulations with Marcos & Orlando, we made a plan for them to acquire the new materials, and they returned the next day to fix the gate, and make it compliant. I haven't been this happy with a contracting company for awhile, after owning this house, so I will definitely be saving their name & number, to hire them again, when I have more work in their areas of expertise! When he fertilized my lawn, instead of applying fertilizer only to the grass, he drove the fertilizer spreader all over my new concrete walkways, leaving dozens of ugly rust stains everywhere. I have spent hundreds of dollars on power washing and other attempts to resolve it and such attempts have made the problem worse, so I now have rust + discoloration all over my walkways, which is a major eyesore. It will cost me many thousands of dollars to fix this problem that Dan caused, since I will need to rip out and reinstall 3 new concrete pathways and a giant patio. Dan's response was extremely disappointing, he did not take responsibility and there was 0 concern or effort to fix the problem. I would caution against using Dan if you want someone who is thoughtful and careful on your property. I hope this review will ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

We hired Mendoza Brothers in 2023 to redo our front and backyard landscaping and irrigation. Based…read moreon what happened afterward, I would not hire them again and would not recommend them. The most serious issue was the grading of our front yard. After the project, water collected near the house rather than draining away. A timber-edged planting bed they installed also impeded drainage. After our basement flooded, both our general contractor and an engineer inspected the property and identified the grading as a major contributor to the problem. We later had a second flooding event when a major irrigation fitting they had built failed and released a large amount of water into the yard. When another contractor later rebuilt portions of the irrigation and drainage systems, they found additional problems, including sprinkler heads that had been buried while still connected rather than properly removed or capped. The backyard work was also disappointing. The sod they installed ultimately died, we were later told there had not been enough topsoil beneath it, and the yard was left uneven. We ultimately spent tens of thousands of dollars repairing water damage and correcting drainage, irrigation, landscaping, and basement issues. I cannot fairly attribute every dollar of that expense to Mendoza Brothers because multiple factors were involved. But their work created or contributed to several of the problems we had to spend substantial money correcting. I do not write this lightly. In our case, problems with grading and irrigation became serious problems for our house. I would not use Mendoza Brothers again.
