Decent food for assembly line type service. Wide variety of drinks to choose from. Plenty of tables and seating.

OAK FIRE GRILL - BIG BEAR SNOW SUMMIT 4/10 -- Review: if u go to big bear snow summit, try bringing ur own food because you about spend literally $15 on an average hamburger. Like the hamburger tastes solid, but the price is not it. It do be smackin tho when ur coming to eat lunch after snowboarding, but bruh. Aint no way u wanna pay that much money for a double cheese burger. I know that that's how these companies make their money, but nah man. Personally I just pack a large amount of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Big W, W Sandwich. @redbull does give you wings, thank you for ur tasty drink.

Got up to Big Bear today for a long Weekend, and after a long day we were just craving really good…read moresalad and a beer for my man! So very glad we chose Oakside. It's, um, March 19th and we sat on the rooftop outside! Yup! Great ambiance with a view of entering Big Bear and the beautiful moon tonight. Shelby, the manager, was super friendly, sweet and helped us with our meal and Kalley was such a pleasant, high-energy waitress who were both great. Salads- well - hit the spot and more!! Jeremie's Caesar salad was topped with delicious and juicy chicken, flavorful house made croutons and Caesar dressing. Side of garlic bread- yum! Mine! All the treats! The kale apple bacon salad- minus the kale (because I'm just a romaine kinda gal). Sweet dried cranberries and green apples, perfect feta crumbles and bacon, with this amazing apple cider vineagrette! And that superb touch of garlic bread. (I could have eaten a whole loaf). I'd like that dressing in a bottle please! We didn't stay long bc we had people arriving, but will definitely be back. Thank you Shelby and Kalley for great service and delicious salads that hit the spot! Few times we've been up here so far and we haven't found our spots yet, but you're one now!

Here is my story On one hand, my journey to big Bear Valley was defeated because snow was scarce. And, I had to learn how to find the bald eagles. That is my preference now on to oak side I'm guessing Oakside as the place to go locals and visitors alike. Street level is patio dining upstairs second level is covered and rather dark. Food menu is what anyone can expect from a local pub restaurant diner Same thing can be said about their alcoholic beverages or their non-alcoholic alcoholic beverages You do need to check in with the gal downstairs if you want to sit on the street level patio dining. Otherwise walk up the stairs and sit at the bar. Food was decent. Service was excellent. If I'm ever in the area again.(I'm sure I will be) I definitely stop in again

Ordering at the counter was easy and the food came out quickly. We ordered their classic cheeseburger & Cali burger with fries as well as, beef teriyaki with rice. Both burgers were juicy and well seasoned. Fries were flavorful and crunchy. I've been craving rice during our vacation and the beef teriyaki was beyond satisfying. The meat was surprisingly tender and the sauce was perfectly balanced. The bok choy was fresh and cooked well. We knew exactly what to expect sitting down at this restaurant; we knew no waitstaff would come around to see if we needed anything more. We did miss that part a little, but everything else was fantastic. We paid approximately $150, tip included, which was reasonable.

Food was on point. The Birria bowl was packed with flavor and super satisfying. The ahi burger was fresh and cooked just right, and the cheeseburger was a classic--juicy, simple, and done well. Big plus for being family-friendly too. The kids meals with chicken tenders were a hit--great portions and perfect for keeping the little ones happy. Overall, solid spot for good food, good beer, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd come back to for a casual meal or to catch up with friends and family.

I am crazy about their Nashville hot wings and chicken sandwich. Delish. The zucchini fries: generous bites and juicy. Then when we entered, it felt like the entire bar, not just the workers, but the people eating and drinking all said hi. We came in on Dec 30th and on New Years Eve. Stopped for food and a lot of drinks. The food wasn't anything special but it was a lot better than we expected given the time of the day and how dark it looked from the outside. We didn't expect it to be lively but it was about a solid 20 people there. I'd say it can fit about 40 people solidly since there's a back pool area, a few bar stools and 7-8 tables with 4 chairs at each. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken which had a sweet and spicy vinegar which was delish. It also was topped with slaw and pickles. I wished it had more of the vinegar. And we ordered the cowboy burger which had pepper jack cheese, fried pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños and hot sauce. With food and a couple of drinks it came out to about 70 bucks which came out really cheap. It's a bit divey the bar but most places I feel like are like that here. Theres a pool table and an electronic jukebox (where you can download the app and choose your music that you want to be played at the bar). They have only a couple of bottles of beer to select from and no drafts. But they have a decent selection of liquor. Not the brightest of lit places but you won't be squinting to see. There's a parking lot and street parking available.

My low rating is entirely based on the customer service experience within the first few minutes of arriving. I came in with my dog, fully aware that we would need to sit outside. Since most restaurants still have you check in first, I stood at the podium where there was a sign indicating a server would check in guests. After standing there briefly, an employee asked if we wanted to sit on the patio. I said yes, and he responded by telling us to "go up the ramp." Not even in a friendly manner. Me being me I just wanted to verify that I didn't have to check in as it wasn't just myself, my party we're not all with me ..wanting to make sure I was following the correct process, I politely asked if I didn't need to check in first. His response came across as annoyed, basically repeating that he had already told us to go up the ramp. The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and rude. There's a difference between being direct and making guests feel unwelcome. I'm usually not someone who leaves negative reviews over one interaction, but both my husband and brother-in-law also noticed the attitude, as they were close enough to hear and it immediately made us uncomfortable enough to leave. Before leaving, I did take a quick look at the patio area and noticed it was very shaded with leaves scattered around from the wind, which didn't make the outdoor dining setup feel especially inviting either. Overall, this was disappointing because I had chosen this spot to celebrate my 30th birthday and was really looking forward to enjoying a big, delicious pancake. Unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot and we decided not to stay.
