The girl at the desk never provided any information about anything. I did not know I needed quarters for the locker rental, nor did I not know I couldn't wear a baseball cap or have a crossbody bag. As soon as I got on the rink, the attendant told me I had to get off because of my hat. I wasn't upset or anything, I quietly skated off, returned my skates and gathered my belongings. As I was exiting I observed men on the skating rink with beanies on their heads and skull caps. Additionally I observed adults walking on the rink as they were helping their children. I did not know that the rink was also a track. I would think that's a bigger safety hazard than wearing a hat. When I went to the front to inquire about a refund there was a gentleman in front of me who had on a hat and I was tempted to say something to him but I also wanted to see if the clerk would remind him of the hat policy, but she didn't. I don't know if the assumption is that everyone who visits are regulars and know the protocol, but it wouldn't hurt to have signage at the front desk and to also remind the attendants to say something to the patrons.

They had a walking track above looking down on the rink. The prices were affordable ($5 for students) and the staff was very nice! There were tons of booths. We threw all of our belongings in one and it was the kids home base. Their rentals had skates or rollerblades. Even the arcade games were reasonably priced!

So it started badly, as on the way in, I got yelled at profusely, and I mean really yelled at, by some old man telling me I was driving the wrong way through the parking lot - and he stood in my way to yell at me too. It wasn't well marked and was banal as nobody else was driving in the lot. Then when I got on with my cardio, the TV was staticky, and while the gym had some decent stuff and some fit-looking members, I have to say these are not great facilities and the space is a little cramped. They offer no towels, no hairdryer, and in general, not one of the best I've used. I'd give it a 4 if not for the fact that the TV, lack of towels, parking issues, and especially getting yelled at, all made me not enjoy my workout much.

Covid comes, and enrolled patrons are notified that they can suspend membership until a specific date, and if not (suspended membership), it will automatically be re-enabled and charged unless notified. As of July 1st, no resumption of gym facilities yet they steal money from my on file credit card making an assumption that they may soon be able to open, and placing the burden of me having to keep extending my requested suspension. I'll assume I'm not going back as I'll be at risk, and because of their lackluster previous inabilities, I'm certain they may never return to normal. One might think that they would contact persons to ask if they minded them to have their funds stolen.

They provided a complete bait-and-switch, trying to charge for every little thing, providing sub-par service, lacking follow-through, & the worst communication I've experienced with almost any company. To preface this story, we had never owned an in-ground pool, & were renting (starting in the winter), so we knew nothing about the pool that existed or what condition it was in. I contacted several pool companies to have them come out to look at the pool & let me know what we would need to do to open it, maintain it, & close it at the end of the season. We decided to go with Carmona because they said they could do everything I needed, including addressing some liner pulls, & even though they cost more than some other companies, I felt they sounded the best. They sold us the gold package which included opening, cleaning at opening, weekly services including chemicals, & closing/winterizing. It took about a month to open the pool since it needed a bit of treatment to get going (it was never opened last year by the previous owners). But they opened early (4/31) so that it would be good to go by Memorial Day. The pool was still not in good shape when they came out the Friday before the holiday weekend & they had to come back that Monday (Memorial Day) to follow-up on the treatment from the previous Friday, so we had to cancel our pool plans for Memorial Day Weekend. So, it took a little time to get up & running, but surely that would be the end of it, right? Through the month of June, the pool was "clean" according to the pool techs but was always cloudy. After repeatedly reaching out to the office, they finally communicated to the techs to bring the proper equipment with them when they came for our weekly service. So, we would be good for 4th of July Weekend, right? They came out for service on the Friday right before & within 24 hours the pool was green with a lot of algae/sediment on the bottom. I reached out to the office again to ask them about this issue. They said they would address the algae/sediment on the Friday after 4th of July & that they would need to use algaecide which would be an additional cost. We had now gotten to the point where we had bought a pool brush & vacuum & were doing much of this ourselves (an additional cost we didn't think we would have with the package purchased). I let them know that we had now cancelled our pool plans for both Memorial Day Weekend & the 4th of July Holiday Weekend & the pool turned green within less than 24 hours after their "service", so I didn't see why I should have to pay extra because they were delayed in following up. I asked if they could let me know what they were doing to address the repeated issues, if there was something else we could be doing (running the filter longer?), if we needed different equipment (upgrade the motor?), but it was like pulling teeth to get clear communication from the office & techs. It took until the end of August to finally get proper information about how & when to be running the filter. During all this time I had been inquiring about fixing the liner pulls & they were finally able to get someone to take care of them...starting at the price of $200, which was never discussed with us in the beginning, & I declined at that point since it was close to the end of the season. Now we're coming up on Labor Day Weekend, they've got it this time, right? Green pool once again leading into our Friday service prior to Labor Day Weekend. After that service, still green & no communication from the office or techs. We decided to try to salvage the holiday weekend ourselves & took a water sample to a different company. They immediately told us that the balance was off & recommended some products to address the situation. While we had to spend ~$110 on chemicals, we were able to balance & clear up our pool within 24 hours. What's more, the pool remained clear the remainder of the season until closing. Speaking of the closing, we had to do most of the work when it came to draining the pool to the appropriate level & we had to completely re-do the cover on the pool because the techs put it on loosely & didn't position the airbags (under the cover) properly at all. I also suspect that there were no chemicals added to properly winterize it. Through their length of service, most of the weekly visits lasted 10-12 minutes from the time that they pulled up to the time that they drove away. Any communication had to originate from us & took weeks for clarity. We noticed many times where the pool was checked for chemical balance, but rarely was anything added except for the initial shocking, the algaecide that was discussed above, & 2 chlorine tabs added to the skimmer basket weekly. Future customers beware.
