I honestly really like going to Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, it doesn't feel like your typical mall at all. It's actually a nice place to just walk around, especially when the weather's good. The whole area is clean, well-kept. There's a really good mix of stores too. You've got higher-end spots like Louis Vuitton and Gucci, but also everyday places like Apple and Zara, so it doesn't feel too exclusive or overwhelming. I've had good experiences at The Cheesecake Factory, and there are plenty of other options depending on what you're in the mood for. It's easy to spend a few hours here just shopping, grabbing a meal, and hanging out. I'd definitely recommend it if you want something a little more enjoyable than the average mall. read more

On a cold, snowy afternoon Oakbrook Center was bustling with activity. I am not sure if it was because of after Christmas sales or exchanges, but it was busy. There is a variety of specialty stores to meet a variety of shopping interests. The center was decorated beautifully for the holidays and in some areas holiday music was still playing. There is also a wide array of dining and entertainment choices. Parking can be challenging, so be patient. I highly recommend Oakbrook Center for great options for shopping, dining and entertainment. read more

I like this outdoor space. I have ventured up here a few times for shopping and activities. Places I enjoy here: Spirit & Spice, Arc'teryx, BYLT, True Kitchen, Macy's, New Balance and Fabletics. We also have done the Wonderverse. This center has it all and several national established food eateries. I appreciate the vast parking and the dog friendly nature of the outdoor space. On my last occasion, we had our dog because we were in the area to do some hiking in the preserves. We appreciated that we could walk around the center with him. My dog is small so we were able to put him in his bag so that he could enter into some store but we only went into active stores and avoided any food areas unless they had dog friendly patio. Appreciated the relief pad and poop bags provided. Good job Oakbrook Center. read more

04/23/25 - Oakbrook Center is my favorite mall. I worked in Oakbrook for 5 years. They have done a wonderful job & created a beautiful mall that has gone through many changes over the years to create a beautiful mall. The mall seamlessly integrates the exterior spaces with/some great stores both high end & average stores. They have their anchor tenants like Macy's & Nordstroms & a nice selection of restaurants from high end to average to cover people w/different budgets. They've done a great job w/open parking lots & parking garages that are color coded to help people remember where they are parked The only negative it's an exterior mall that gets very chilly in the winter time, but in the other months it's an awesome mall that is clean & well designed. I don't make it out here very often but I look forward to coming out here & spending time @ what has become my favorite mall read more

Not sure how I've never reviewed Oakbrook center as a whole since I've been coming here for well over 30 years, which tells you how old I am In the last 30 years, this place has truly grown matured and elevated its game. It's so great to see a mall in the United States actually thriving and encouraging businesses both large and small to take up spaces here. Kudos to DuPage County for also ensuring that this particular mall does not have any special taxes and that increase the sales taxes like the other outdoor mall of old Orchard I love the diversity of stores. I love how they're so many new restaurants. There's always something new and exciting to see an experience here. However, I will also say I love a lot of the long time staples here like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. read more

Been a long time since I've been to Oakbrook Center (established in 1962), and certainly chose an unideal week to do so. It's an outdoor mall, with some connected space and the blast of cold conditioned air was a welcome relief as we entered various stores. My wife remarked that the Anthropologie here wasn't big enough to have a linen section. So we ended up taking the car to a different parking area, close to the newer modeled food hall. Unfortunately, the casual build your own pizza restaurant was still closed, even though it was supposed to be open. Thus we ended up going to the full service restaurant next door. read more

It's been years since my last visit here and I completely forgot that you can still enjoy walking this outdoor mall when it's raining, because there are plenty of two-story sections and overhangs that provide cover. The shops can be a little pretentious, especially given the surrounding neighborhoods, but most of the employees are down to earth. My only complaint is that it's difficult to know the best place to park, because you can't see the stores from the main drive. After coming a few times, you'll probably get it, but still. read more

Still my top favorite shopping mall. My daughter loves coming here. It's a beautiful, well set up mall. Every store you are looking for is here! I mean every single store. I'm a practical shopper but I can do some damage when Im in the mood. My top favorite stores are Macy's, Loft, Crate and Barrel, Abercrombie for my daughter. Sephora, The Container store and Zara. It's fun to walk around during the warmer weather. Upstairs they have Potbelly and Stan's donuts. They also have a Magianos and Beatrix. We recently went to Fogo de Chao at Oakbrook. Loved it. As we zoom into the day of fewer and fewer mall shopping centers ... and more online buying ... it is nice to see a successful mall of this stature. The Oak Brook mall has a number of high end stores, but also caters to the middle class wants and wishes. This mall is outdoors, just like the Aurora Shopping Mall ... and unlike the Orland Park Shopping Mall. So when the weather is co-operating, this is a wonderful destination. The stores for shopping are very nice, but one of the things we like about this mall is the number of really nice restaurants that ring the center. We shopped here at the Crate & Barrel, and then ate an early dinner at Antico Posto, a nice Italian restaurant operated by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. Very nice. All in all, with the store selection, the nice restaurants, and the clean and inviting atmosphere, this mall is a winner ... we'll be back. read more

This is my favorite mall. Everything in it is beautiful wonderful stores, so fun to go during the holidays. Everything is lit up next time I'll have to go by myself or with my daughter. My boyfriend isn't much of a shopper and we won in the winter so it was cold, I remember one time I went and there were Christmas carolers. They have wonderful restaurants, great furniture, stores, household stores. This is a great mall, there is something for everyone. They have clothing brands catered to high school and under as well as more elegant choices for the ones that can afford them. They have a nice selection of food, some restaurants are closer to Barnes and Noble. They have a food court that is indoor while some other choices are outside of it. There is an AMC theater by the indoor food court. Sometimes they'll have special exhibits or stores for a limited time here like the Stranger Things store or the Sistine Chapel. Parking can be a pain if you come on the weekends, try to come here on a week day. read more

One of my favorite malls in the Chicago Suburbs, Oakbrook center really has a great selection of stores to cater to everyone's needs across a wide variety of shopping options from candy to clothing to tech. I really like the setup of this mall to allow lots of open air walking and also include lots of cool features like fountains, flowers, swings, chairs, and other items to make it fun to spend time outside with friends and family when visiting here. The selection of dining options is great here as well with nice upscale options like Roka Akor and Violi, to more affordable options such as Antico Posto and Cheesecake Factory. The food hall is also awesome as well with delicious options such as Stan's Donuts, Jeni's, and Nando's Peri-Peri. Mother's Day at about 11:50am I arrived to work early. Only to be late because of a passenger in a red Jeep going the wrong way and blocking passage. Wrong does not make you right. And the females ridding with him thought it was funny. Maybe he thought it was respectful to sit there and let the passenger female out like he was gentleman while he block me. He was not. Why block me in? When he could just easily pulled back to let me proceed in the right direction to park. Maybe he hate black women? It took a white man to approach security and send him in my direction for assistance. That was no better another black man that did not assess the situation but he did get the man to move back so I could get to park correctly. The worst part is the mall security wanted me to proceed in the wrong direction at first. Wow and why when they both were in the wrong maybe this black man as well hate black women too? It started out as a discouraging day. When I had already impacted so many that mattered. This was disappointing when calling security to report the incident. He tells me security is not allowed to back up. Wow that's scary what if they are in pursuit‍. You can show people the right way and it does mean they will do it. I knew deep down on this day I should been with people that matter not those that don't. Because they only see things their way. Maybe I should have just called the police then he would had just got a ticket traveling in the wrong direction. Because he was black I did not‍. I am very disappointed given people chances that don't deserve it. read more

This is the best outdoor mall in Chicagoland. Maybe even the nation? Its impeccably clean, very safe, full of stores both low and high end, with ample parking. The flowers in the Spring, Summer, and early Fall are simply gorgeous, as are the various fountains throughout the "campus". The dining is great, too. The nearby Weber Grill is a good one to check out at least once. Whether window shopping or emptying your wallet, you'll have a good time here. read more
