So many beautiful stores and restaurants to choose from at this classic and sophisticated outdoor shopping mall. Too bad it's so cold outside or we would have enjoyed shopping more. The holiday decorations really put you in the spirit of the season. Parking decks are a big plus because it is always crowded.

I like this outdoor space. I have ventured up here a few times for shopping and activities. Places I enjoy here: Spirit & Spice, Arc'teryx, BYLT, True Kitchen, Macy's, New Balance and Fabletics. We also have done the Wonderverse. This center has it all and several national established food eateries. I appreciate the vast parking and the dog friendly nature of the outdoor space. On my last occasion, we had our dog because we were in the area to do some hiking in the preserves. We appreciated that we could walk around the center with him. My dog is small so we were able to put him in his bag so that he could enter into some store but we only went into active stores and avoided any food areas unless they had dog friendly patio. Appreciated the relief pad and poop bags provided. Good job Oakbrook Center.

04/23/25 - Oakbrook Center is my favorite mall. I worked in Oakbrook for 5 years. They have done a wonderful job & created a beautiful mall that has gone through many changes over the years to create a beautiful mall. The mall seamlessly integrates the exterior spaces with/some great stores both high end & average stores. They have their anchor tenants like Macy's & Nordstroms & a nice selection of restaurants from high end to average to cover people w/different budgets. They've done a great job w/open parking lots & parking garages that are color coded to help people remember where they are parked The only negative it's an exterior mall that gets very chilly in the winter time, but in the other months it's an awesome mall that is clean & well designed. I don't make it out here very often but I look forward to coming out here & spending time @ what has become my favorite mall

Great shopping, decent restaurants and well maintained mall with green spaces and seating. We even caught some of the movie on movie night.

Been a long time since I've been to Oakbrook Center (established in 1962), and certainly chose an unideal week to do so. It's an outdoor mall, with some connected space and the blast of cold conditioned air was a welcome relief as we entered various stores. My wife remarked that the Anthropologie here wasn't big enough to have a linen section. So we ended up taking the car to a different parking area, close to the newer modeled food hall. Unfortunately, the casual build your own pizza restaurant was still closed, even though it was supposed to be open. Thus we ended up going to the full service restaurant next door.

It's been years since my last visit here and I completely forgot that you can still enjoy walking this outdoor mall when it's raining, because there are plenty of two-story sections and overhangs that provide cover. The shops can be a little pretentious, especially given the surrounding neighborhoods, but most of the employees are down to earth. My only complaint is that it's difficult to know the best place to park, because you can't see the stores from the main drive. After coming a few times, you'll probably get it, but still.

This is my favorite mall. Everything in it is beautiful wonderful stores, so fun to go during the holidays. Everything is lit up next time I'll have to go by myself or with my daughter. My boyfriend isn't much of a shopper and we won in the winter so it was cold, I remember one time I went and there were Christmas carolers. They have wonderful restaurants, great furniture, stores, household stores. I can't wait to go back next time I wanna go check out the Restoration Hardware South side of the mall that looks so incredible.

This is a great mall, there is something for everyone. They have clothing brands catered to high school and under as well as more elegant choices for the ones that can afford them. They have a nice selection of food, some restaurants are closer to Barnes and Noble. They have a food court that is indoor while some other choices are outside of it. There is an AMC theater by the indoor food court. Sometimes they'll have special exhibits or stores for a limited time here like the Stranger Things store or the Sistine Chapel. Parking can be a pain if you come on the weekends, try to come here on a week day.

Oakbrook Center is an open air shopping center in Oak Brook, Illinois. This shopping center has some of our favorite restaurants. Stan's Donuts and Jenni's Splendid Ice Cream are always good choices. There are traditional department stores, such as Nordstrom's and Macy's. But what really sets Oakbrook Center apart from other shopping centers is the outdoors atmosphere that has been built here. There is an artificial grass area where families can play. There are giant swings, water fountains, and other elements that add a touch of class and elegance to the shopping center. Oakbrook Center has a little bit for everyone. I highly recommend Oakbrook Center for great options for restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

The paid preferred parking is terrible! The parking is hard at the mall anyway and not to have to pay is wrong!

I was able to achieve both here! Yorktown Center and mall are the anchor of this area and have all the classic vibes of an interior mall while being surrounded by open-air shopping and eateries. Additionally, this complex also has a movie theater an a gym. So, multi-faceted and mixed used for sure. The mall has a lot of the standard mall store you expect, but they also have a good variety of smaller branded stores and even some local shops. Like any other mall right now, there were serval empty store fronts. While the shops were cool to wander through and by, I came for the food court, which is huge! Featured a solid selection of chain and local spots. The mall was clean and well kept. Worn in some places, but for the most part in good shape. Overall, solid spot to spend some time at, with or without purpose.

Firstly, I appreciated that this mall is located walking distance from a big store-front shopping center, including a hotel and stores like Target and a bus stop. A circus was on tour in the parking lot the same weekend I arrived here, which I would assume would've brought more business to the mall. It seems to be a good spot for pop-up events like that. And secondly, service dogs are welcomed for those that need them. Overall I had a great experience with the stores that this mall does have, including the biggest highlight being at Victoria Secret's where the staff greeted me, gave me a post-weight loss bra fitting and great service when checking out with my new items! Vacancies are plenty-full in this mall unfortunately and specifically I want to mention Barbra's Bookstore - a small owned bookstore in the mall that I 1000000% wanted to support, mostly because they fullllllly advertised their banned book section and had tote bags for sale around the store branded with those same banned books *see pictures* , BUT - no one acknowledged me in the store & I don't appreciate that. Decent mall, decent stores, great food court (Burning Mouth being the best place) - with lounging, sitting area. There's also a family bathroom in this mall, located by the food court that is HUGE - and I'm sure helpful to mothers nursing. A family, small-oriented mall indeed!

It is a little pricy depending what you're interested in. When we went, lots of the booths featured Christmas decorations. I fell in love with a beautiful retro Santa. He will bring magic and merriment to our home each holiday season starting next year (my husband wouldn't let me have my present early, or Santa would be proudly on display this year too lol). Everything I looked at was in good condition, especially considering how old some of the items were. I was hoping to see more vintage clothes and housewares, so I'll have to go back after the holidays to see what they put out. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'll be back soon I'm sure.

There was a broken doll on the floor, and one of the staff members kept following me and asked if I was the one who broke it. I told them no, but then two staff members continued following me around, demanding that I pay for it and threatening to call the police. Their behavior was very intimidating, and I ended up crying in front of them while asking them to stop treating me that way. I truly felt profiled and discriminated against during the entire situation. Afterward, I posted a Google review and tried many times to contact the manager, but my calls never resolved anything. Eventually, their lawyer contacted me and asked me to remove the review, saying they would have the staff go through training. However, that did not resolve the harm that was done, because the experience left me traumatized.
