Best Orthodontist in Stone Oak! Dare I say, best orthodontist in San Antonio! Let me tell you now, this is going to be a longer review; that being said, it will be the only review you need to read! However, if you're short on time, I'll say it here, Dr. Melendez is the best of the best! You should have full confidence in him and the services he provides for all aspects of orthodontic work! Now for those of you who have some time on your hands, lets get in to the proverbial meat and potatoes of my personal experience. I was 17 and in desperate need of orthodontic work. Aside from being horribly out of alignment, my teeth also rested on top of each other and I was in serious danger of wearing/chipping them down in only a few short years. So I rapidly set out to find an orthodontist! As it goes, I had consulted a few orthodontist' prior to visiting the offices of Oak Tree Orthodontics, and it became clear pretty quickly that Dr. Melendez was the best option by far! Not only are him and his staff some of the most amazing, kind, and amicable people; they are highly proficient in all the skills that their job requires. Throughout the entirety of my 18 month braces journey (exactly the time I was quoted) I was taken care of like I was family, and was never in doubt of the abilities of anyone who participated in my treatment. We achieved the results I desired in optimal time, and I couldn't be happier! Honestly, the entire experience has been life changing, thanks to the entire staff! There is no better orthodontist than Dr. Melendez. He is super friendly and very professional. He walked us through every aspect of what procedures were going to be done. Both of my kids actually enjoy going to their appointments. My daughter just had her braces removed and got a pleasant congratulatory gift from Dr. Melendez. Dr. Melendez is amazing along with Belinda and Cindy that greet you with a smile at the door every time. The office is beautiful and never had to wait and went straight in for appointment. My son got braces and started in March and for a shy timid boy Dr Melendez was amazing that he got him to open up and feel comfortable with him. He's not only an amazing dentist but a great role model and very professional. He always takes the time to explain what he's doing and is very patient. I love where the office is located in Stone Oak. We lived in the neighborhood right across. So since we had to go every month for 2 years it was so convenient. The office staff is very accommodating if my son lost the bracket they would just say come on in and will fix it. But with great sadness we moved out of state in December and lost one excellent orthodontist. I know there won't be one like him out here but we're going to try hard to find one comparable. When it was time for me to finally get my braces I researched and met with several different orthodontists, but when I met with Dr. Melendez I knew he was the kind of person I wanted working on my teeth. He was very professional and listened to exactly what I wanted and what my concerns were about my teeth/jaw. He has years of experience and it really shows. Most orthodontists I met with wanted to remove several teeth and had a timeframe of 30-36 months for treatment. We have been patients of Dr Melendez of Oak Tree Orthodontics for a few months now. So far I have been very impressed. It is a beautiful brand new office/practice. With my other two kids we used another very well known local ortho. I was happy with that orthodontist, but the practice had gotten so busy. I can't possibly praise Dr. Melendez and his staff highly enough. As this was my second child getting braces (my first child had them in another state), I just assumed it would be business as usual. But from my first meeting in the Oak Tree Orthodontics office, I realized Dr. Melendez was very different. He was actually concerned with my daughter's needs. He fully explained the process to both of us so that she clearly understood what to expect and how long the process would take. The office is clean and bright, my daughter has never had to wait when showing up for an appointment.
