We had our downstairs half bathroom update by Anthony. He was great throughout the entire process and the final product looks amazing. He informed us of everything he was doing and checked with us to make sure it was correct before installing or updating anything. I called Oak Tree Home improvements and spoke with Anthony about my living room flooring being "bouncy" when my kid runs across or jumps on it. We had a lengthy 30-minute call where I learned a lot about my own house. I gave Anthony information about my house, like its age, the flooring material, the measurements of the joists supporting the floor, the distance between joists, and other relevant information. I could tell Anthony was very experienced, because he knew the answers immediately and was also doing measurement calculations of the joists on the phone with me at a pace that made me think he didn't need to use a calculator. (i.e. he was good at doing math in his head accurately!) In conclusion, my flooring didn't have any structural problems, and I was dealing with an "inconvenience" for this type of house and flooring. Anthony suggested actions he could take to reinforce the joists beneath the floor, but he also said that I don't need to spend the money to rectify an inconvenience. The floor is stable and the bounciness is normal for this type of flooring. Anthony also suggested some things I could do myself to save money if I really wanted to deal with the floor. I am very appreciative that a contractor game me 30 minutes of his precious time, provided an honest appraisal of my situation, and told me that I probably should not be spending money to hire him on something non-critical. I know who I will call first when I actually think I have a critical problem. :) read more

He's professional, punctual, extremely capable and great at problem solving, including the constraints of old electrical and plumbing in our Brooklyn home. In every occasion we have consulted him on projects, he has come up with simpler and more elegant solutions than our initial thoughts.
