Aki is absolutely wonderful! I have known her since the previous location where she worked, and I followed her to Oak Park Cleaners because of the quality of her work and her excellent customer service. She is very professional, reliable, friendly, and always pays close attention to detail. I have been very happy with both her alterations and dry cleaning services. She truly cares about her customers and always makes sure everything is done properly. I highly recommend Aki and Oak Park Cleaners to anyone looking for professional alterations, dry cleaning, and great customer service! read more

Left my outfit about a week earlier for which I prepaid, came early on the day of travel Wednesday since I was told to pick up Tuesday 5/20/26. No outfit, machines to clean had stopped working over the weekend. No one called me, messaged me to pick up. No outfit clean or dirty as they are sent out. All I got was sorry we can't predict why the cleaning machines failed. One of the most infuriating experiences, I came later in the day after calling to confirm - I called two of their stores as instructed. In a mad rush to park, not miss my flight that evening. Giant scrape to the car bumper, repair is on the order of $2-3k based off quotes all for some freaking dry cleaning and a rush I did not expect nor co-signed. If only they returned the outfit and I could have gone elsewhere. I got my clothes finally, this is a one and done experience for me. read more

I came in and requested help with 2 sweaters from the seamstress. I paid for half in cash and was provided a date they'd be completed. I came in about 2 weeks past the date they were expected to be completed and was told they weren't even started. I was told to come back in a few days. Frustrating, but I understand things happen. I came back and was told again that they weren't completed and other orders were prioritized ahead of mine for rush delivery/repeat customers. I was told they'd be ready tomorrow morning. Now I feel like my kindness is being taken advantage of. Update to add: I was able to pick up on 4/25, finally. That's 4 weeks after I originally brought it in, and over 2 weeks past the date I was told they'd be ready. read more

Avoid! Left a carpet to be cleaned. Paid over $120. Returned one week later on the promised date and the rug was still sitting where I left it. "Sorry, the guy hasn't come to get it yet." Full of excuses, no solutions. Asked for a refund and I'm finding somewhere else. Never returning. (One star because I had to...they should get zero stars) read more

Second time going. Cannot speak highly enough. Came in with my wedding dress and husband's tux. Our clothes were filthy since we had an outdoor wedding and we needed them back pretty quickly as we have a second ceremony. There were stains that they removed and got everything back to us in an incredible turnaround with very high-quality. We will definitely be back! read more

This cleaners was chosen after ours closed. After researching the positive Yelp reviews, which were spot on (excuse the pun). We brought in a huge array of clothing after returning from vacation & we're very happy with both the quality of the cleaning & the fair prices. We've found our permanent cleaners! Bonus: staff could not be more helpful & kind. read more

The pricing and quality of my dry cleaning was great but the seamstress was a bit peculiar. She insisted I try the dress on and then asked me how much I was willing to pay to have my dress hemmed because the stitching was difficult. She chalked up my dress and said she didn't want me to leave since she already did that work. I just asked that she give me her price since I needed a quick turn around. The dress was not pressed afterwards either and had to go somewhere else to do that. I'd recommend Oak Park for dry cleaning but not necessarily for alterations. I tried my best to work with the seamstress. read more

Excellent service. There was a mix-up and they responded immediately. Even refunded some money. Quality is always high. Will return. Bit expensive. read more

Oak Park Cleaners was an absolutely wonderful dry cleaning service for me. I had some clothes that I needed dry cleaned. They did an absolutely wonderful job. They are very careful about reading the wash care labels and will treat your clothes accordingly. I greatly appreciated how they wrapped the vintage buttons on one of my jackets with some foil to prevent any kind of damage during the cleaning. This attention to detail is something I sincerely appreciate. Their prices are reasonable too compared to other cleaners I've tried in the city. Clothes were ready for pick up a day earlier than expected - which is also great. Overall great service and great quality of cleaning. I truly appreciate this business. read more

I was a regular customer at Oak Park Cleaners for 9 years, but a recent change in ownership has caused quality and customer service to significantly decline. With my last order, they misplaced one of my shirts and discolored another expensive one, which is now unwearable. I needed these for an important business trip the next day, which forced me to rush to a store to buy replacements. Their response over the next 3 weeks was incredibly frustrating. Employees told me only the manager could issue a refund, but they were vague about his schedule. After multiple calls and visits, they finally located the lost shirt weeks later, but I could still not get into contact with the manager. They told me a specific time the manager would be in. I showed up, but he wasn't there. Staff told me he'd arrive in 30 minutes. I waited nearby and returned on time, but was told I 'just missed him.' The staff then also tried to claim the shirt was already that color when I brought it in--despite my photo proof to the contrary. They gave me the manager's direct line but he didn't pick up. I left a message and still no callback. Very unprofessional and not worth your business. read more

Responding to your comment: Yes I usually check my clothes thoroughly but last time I was there the worker rushed me to pay because other customers were behind me. I told her to let them go first but she said she needs to do mine first since it was already typed on the register. I guess she didnt want to pull it up again? So I just finishing paying and left because I did not want others to wait. And you mentioned that you never said anything about not being able to remove old stains, you just said some garments its better not to if its not that visible. Anyways I understand that some stains you cant remove. Its just that I dont know why I have to pay for shirts with stains left. Also this is not the first time. Everytime I come here I have to come back one or two more times because they missed a spot. Even today, when I went to pick up my final item from here, my dress still had dirt on the bottom. And those are not old stains! read more

Very professional! Did a great job with vintage materials. Would definitely use them again.

I actually didn't use the service but had a very pleasant experience. I brought in a thick winter Northface jacket that was fluffy on the outside. It was an expensive jacket so I wanted to be safe and wash it at the shop, terrified of messing up the fluffy exterior if I wash it myself. The lady was extremely kind and read the washing instructions line by line with me, and at the end recommended me to wash it myself to save money. She even suggested me to zip all the zippers and put it in a mesh bag to safely wash it. Even though I didn't use their service this time, it is so refreshing to see honest and kind people like her. I definitely trust this shop to do a good job and bring my clothes next time for wash. Thank you! read more

What an awesome local dry cleaner. I stopped by right before my interview the same day and just needed my blazer steamed. (Ellen I think her name was) was really nice and offered to do it same day for me. I think it came to around $20 which for the same day wasn't bad. Looks good as new and she got some of the dog hair off of it. Will definitely be recommending this location to my friends and family. read more

Two wedding dresses perfectly steamed and prepared for both daughter's big day. Brought the dresses in after the wedding for cleaning and preserving. Not one second of worry. I knew that Robin and the Oak Park staff would take the best care of us. After a flood in our home, I also gathered up baptism and 1st Communion outfits that were tucked away in a closet for cleaning and preserving. Oak Park pretty much performed a miracle. They were able to restore the four precious dresses. These are reliable, professional, trustworthy, and kind individuals. Great value and service. Rare to find these days. read more

I don't dry clean often, but when I do, I come here because it is the closest location. Prices are somewhat high relative to other places I've been for dry cleaning, but I guess there's nothing you can do during times of inflation. However, they always execute their services consistently. It's a good service in the area to have. read more

Excellent customer service and polite staff. This was my first visit and they did a nice job on my uniform. I would recommend this cleaner in the future. read more

Exceptional, experienced and friendly . Love my freshly cleaned comforter . I'm bringing all my winter jackets next.

Good cleaners around town that you don't have to break the bank with to save your dear clothes!

Always so friendly and helpful. I love having them in our neighborhood. I would definitely recommend them any day of the week.

Oak Park Cleaners steamed my wedding dress before my big day and preserved it afterwards. They were very reliable and helped make my day go more smoothly. I would highly recommended to any upcoming bride or anyone in need of preserving a special dress. read more

I was very impressed with Oak Park Cleaners. They prepped my wedding dress before the big day to make sure there were no wrinkles. After the wedding, I brought the dress back to Oak Park Cleaners and they dry cleaned and preserved it perfectly. I wouldn't trust anyone else with something so sentimental - I am so grateful for their service and allowing this process to be stress free! read more

Welp. I gave them another shot because of the owner's response - and because I really like the lady that does the alterations - they are always perfect. But they just can't get the cleaning part right. After stressing over and over "no starch" - and pointing it out in my previous review - I just put on a shirt that feels like it's made of plastic...they not only starched it, but heavily so. I have a newborn and I don't want her exposed to the starch when I hold her, so now I'm going to have to wash this shirt several times. And find a new cleaners. Just too many screw ups. read more

Finally decided to drop off our items from dry cleaning and chose Oak Park Cleaners based on YELP reviews. Excellent customer service and a cute place near other businesses. Pricing seems reasonable for the items that we needed cleaned and we were happy with the turn around time (4 days for our 9 or 10 items). Pick up was easy and again, great customer service. They send blankets back in a nice zipper bag which I got to keep! This will be great for storing blankets or seasonal items. read more

Really did a great job and they were quite kind. But man paid bank for my pea coat was 30$! And it was almost given to me in a way that was not done well so had to come back to pick it up and that time it was. Ya if you want a good job they can do it but if you got time to explore options then maybe it may be wise to do so. read more

Very nice woman who runs the place. She knows what she is doing and was able to dry clean, hem a pair of pants, and put in new closures all for a reasonable price. The seamstress is very rude and unprofessional. She verbatim said "I don't need you, You need me" after she came at me very aggressive. I will NEVER go back there, by far the worst service i've ever experienced. read more

I walked in and immediately Gia made me feel like Family but it was my first time there! She was very professional but also personable. I had just bought a beautiful coat and got a drink spilled on me that same night. :( They worked their magic and got it completely out and my coat is white so that just goes to show how incredible their work is! When I picked it up, Ann checked me out and she also made me feel like I've been going there for years! She was very welcoming. The fact that they got out an incredibly tough stain on a white coat, they are professional, they are personable, they are reasonably priced... and just down right fantastic.... will keep me coming back! Thank you again! :) read more
